Colossians 2:16-17
:)
If one would carefully study and look at all of the context. Col 2:14-17 KJV Heb 10:1-10 clearly shows this is not about one of God's finger written and spoken commandments. Exodus 20 Exo 31:18 Exo 32:16, but ordinances- there is the weekly Sabbath commandment and the yearly sabbath(s) in ordinances the context if we study it shows which sabbath(s) its referring to. Obviously, this verse is not referring to the weekly Sabbath that ended at the cross, when the apostles kept every Sabbath decades later. Acts 18:4 Acts 13:42-44 Hard to make the case the weekly Sabbath is contrary and against when God blessed and sanctified the Sabbath day and made it holy. Gen 2:1-3 Exo 20:8-11 Only God can reverse a blessing Num 23:20 and please show where He did so in scripture. All the thus saith the Lords in scriptures tells us to keep the Sabbath and warns us not to profane His holy day (too many scriptures to list). I recommend a prayerful study on it. Is Jesus going to ask us to keep something in heaven that against us? Isa 66:22-23

It says all has sinned, not all continues sinning.....scripture says one can keep the commandments Rev 14:12 Jesus wouldn't ask if it was possible to keep. If you read my post, I never said it was due to our own efforts, it is through Christ, but we have to cooperate. It's those daily decisions- if we are weak, we can call on Jesus and He will help us overcome, Jesus changes us from the inside out so we want to keep His commandments through love and faith Mat 14:15 1 John 3:5, Exo 20:6 John 15:10 Romans 3:31
You should really read post #418. It's a very enlightening post.

Jesus not only asked, He led by example.
John 14:15, Mat 5:19-30 Exo 20:8-11 John 15:10 Luke 4:16 1 John 2:6

There is no scripture that says the Sabbath commandment ever ended, so until God tells it does, my faith is in His every Word Mat 4:4
The fact of the matter is that the Sabbath command was never given in the NT.

So though you claim to go by every Word, you do not. You insert your own.

I have heard this teaching before and know its popular but I have yet to find one scripture in God's Word that says He is the Sabbath.
are you quite sure that not being able to find scripture that says something is an impediment to your formulation of doctrine?

b/c i see that you've asserted several things that no scriptures say. things we also have heard many times before

but put this together with Exodus 14:14, remembering that Exodus 16:4 comes about because of the same transgression of Exodus 14:11, The Lie of Satan repeated in Exodus 16:3. and the bread is Christ and the peace is Christ. see John 6.

He Himself is our peace

Is the Sabbath not a commandment of God? You would need to find that Text. Jesus quoted directly from the unit of Ten saying not to break or teach other to break the least of these commandments Mat 5:19-30 and went so far to say when we keep our rules/traditions over the commandments of God their heart is far from Him (opposite of the NC Heb 8:10) and one worships in vain. If you feel you are exempt from the teachings and the example that Jesus left who kept the Sabbath, that can be between you and Him, I have faith in His teachings and He led by example and God, Jesus, the apotles and His faithful followers kept the Sabbath according to the commandment Luke 23:56 well thats the group I want to be in.

You're not really interacting with the post you are replying to. Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man- unless someone here is not human, the Sabbath was made for us according to Jesus. I trust His Word that He would never lead us down the wrong path.

God calls those "Mine" too, interestingly. Numbers 28:1-2.

The Law is one Law, not broken into pieces.
not a jot or tittle, yes?
Not according to scripture...

Neh 9:13 “You came down also on Mount Sinai,
And spoke with them from heaven,
And gave them just ordinances and true laws,
Good statutes and commandments.

Paul makes the distiction of what matters between these laws:

1 Cor 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.

No, it was a question I asked you and you cannot provide the text for it because it does not exist.

According to the hypocrite scribes and Pharisees, Jesus broke the Sabbath.
Do you believe the Pharisees who killed Jesus without cause or Jesus? John 8:46-47

Sure, Jesus said not to break or teach others to break the least of the commandments quoting directly from the Ten Commandments Mat 5:19-30 how do you get the one commandment God said to Remember that God blessed and made holy as a "least" commandment, but Jesus said even the least we should not break or teach others to break as one would be least in heaven and I don't think that means one will be there as He also taught when we obey our rules over the commandments of God one worships in vain and both teach and student end up in a ditch, which means off the narrow path. Mat 15:3-13

Seems clear enough to me.

Sure, just as it is very clear to many others that Sabbath keeping is not commanded for Christians
under the new covenant as it was for the Israelites under the old, because Jesus is our Sabbath rest.

And in fact that God rested from His works on the 7th day was pointing forward
from the very beginning of Scripture to the fact that we would find rest in Jesus.

Rest from works to attain to righteousness. If man could do such a thing, Jesus was not needed.

wow super big stretch to claim that Christ is only referring to the decalogue in Matthew 5:17-19

super false super unsupported claim.

i think we all know why you didn't include verse 31 in your little citation there, yes?

i mean personally i am stupid but even i see that.

Exodus 20 doesn't happen in a vacuum.
Exodus 14-19 lead up to it.

common mistake, imo.
