I never said God's law wasn't righteous. But by works of the law is no flesh justified. There is a righteousness that can be obtained through the law. Jesus attained it. But you never will. And it's because of the weakness of the flesh. Otherwise, no need for Jesus to come.
But when we are saved, we aren't suddenly endowed with an ability to keep the commandments. Rather, as Christ lives in us, He keeps the commandments through us. We cannot sin if we are walking in the Spirit because the Spirit cannot lead us into sin. When we sin, it is because we are not walking in the Spirit and are trying to obey in our own strength. So teaching obedience apart from teaching how it one is enabled to obey is fruitless. That's why one is to do and to teach. And this is why Jesus said to the people to do as the Pharisees say but not as they do.
Do not quench the Spirit.
Do not grieve the Spirit.
Be filled with the Spirit.
Walk in the Spirit.

It really is that simple. It's easy to say now, it was a long road and lots of study to get there.....but it really is this simple. Every jot and tittle is fulfilled if we do this.

If we are thinking about following the law, we are in the flesh.

You said we could obey and that God gives us the power to do so. But that isn't what happens. He doesn't give us the power. He is the power. And He empowers us as He lives through us. One way unites us to Him. The other way separates us from Him.
You may think this a minor thing. It is actually the difference between a life lived in the power and Spirit of God, and one lived in one's own strength.
It is God writing His law in our hearts- His power to obey that He gives John 14:15-18 is not us obeying Him in our power.

His power but requires our cooperation- He enables us to obey Him. I don't see how the power Jesus gives, means our own power.

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Your position is that Jesus made it okay in failing the law, but it's never okay. You cannot accept all the blessings of the law without all the curses that come with it. And you can't accept only part of the law.

Do not quench the Spirit.

Jesus says If you love Me keep My commandments and to teach other the commandments so you are teaching that Jesus is teaching us to be in the flesh?

This is what scripture says about those who are in the flesh...

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh (sin) set their minds on the things of the flesh (sin), but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

It is God writing His law in our hearts and minds it is His doing (His power) we just have to cooperate. And this is God the Holy Spirit who is doing the writing on our hearts, who calls us out of rebellion to Him when we stray Heb 3:7-8 and enables us to obey Him through love and faith John 14:15-18

Can you please quote where I ever said that. Can you clarify your position through scripture compared to the scriptures I posted.

Hebrews 8:7
For if that first covenant had been without fault, no place would have been sought for a second.

Hebrew 7:10-11
Now if perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on this basis the people received the law), why was there still need for another priest to appear— one in the order of Melchizedek and not in the order of Aaron? 12For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed as well.…

Hebrews 7:18
So the former commandment is set aside because it was weak and useless.

Can you please quote where I ever said that. Can you clarify your position through scripture compared to the scriptures I posted.
Your adherence to the law of Moses is declared to be weak and useless.

I just taught you.

Do not grieve the spirit.
do not quench the Spirit.
Be filled with the Spirit.
Walk in the Spirit.

Do this, and you fulfill ALL. Simple.

Our carnal mind wants to clean up our flesh or live in our flesh. Be self righteous or live in sin. It's a harsh reality, I know.

* His Commands.
He was referring to the Commands He made while on earth, not the Law.

He made a clear distinction between what He said and what the Farther said.

Our cooperation is to walk in the Spirit that Christ is living through us. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. His righteousness is Him in us and not us cooperating with Him.
You don't seem to be able to understand the distinction. Your idea of cooperation is your effort to obey. God's idea of cooperation is submission to His work in you.

This is excellent. Our response is not to the law but to the Spirit.

No, I have already stated what I believe and you saying something that I do not believe doesn't change my beliefs.

Paul tells us clearly, that if we are an enmity to God's law, one is not walking in His Spirit. Romans 8:7-8 The Spirit convicts us of sin John 16:8 it calls us out of rebellion to God Heb 3:7-8 the Spirit enables us to obey God and His commandments John 14:15-18 and is given to those who obey Acts 5:32

This is what the scriptures teach. I know you do not like to use scriptures but your words, and for this reason I do not think its fruitful to continue our dicussion because its impossible to reason with someone who uses their words as if equal to God's Word.

So I wish you well in seeking Truth to God's Word, I will probably bow out for now, may chime in later at some point though.

So are we to ignore the law Jesus teaches in Mat 5:19-30 Mark 7:7-13 Mat 15:3-9 Mat 19:17-19

God's will for us is no different in heaven as it is on this earth God's commandments is His law that Jesus taught not something as small as a dot of an i or cross of a t can be removed from His holy law, because man is not above God.

Thats not what Paul said the carnal mind was- I prefer scripture. This crowd just doesn't like scripture for some reason and our words are not equal to God's Word,

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

We are not living in Christ Spirit by breaking His law. This is a doctrine of another spirit.

Look at what you are saying...the Spirit is given to those who obey and we obey by the Spirit. You are requiring obedience to obtain the Spirit and also claiming obedience only comes through the Spirit.

After the Hebrews 11 chapter detailing the those recorded in the great "Hall of Faith"

Hebrews 12
1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the authora and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

If you're looking to the law of Moses as if He is the law of Moses, you're still carrying every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles you, because your eyes are fixed on it, rather than Jesus.

On the other hand, the faithful will not grow weary or lose heart because they throw off every encumbrance and sin is given a difficult time attempting to entangle them.

I didn't write scripture, this is why scripture is so important.

It's not what "I'm" saying, it what the scriptures clearly teach.

Acts 5:32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

This is for those who the Spirit convicts us of sin and listens John 16:8- changes directions

for those who listen to the Spirit who calls us out of rebellion to God Heb 3:7-8 changes direction

the Spirit enables us to obey God and His commandments John 14:15-18

and is given to those who obey Acts 5:32

People who oppose God's law but claim they are walking in His Spirit is flatly refuted.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

God Spirit works in harmony with Gods law because our salvation is from sin, not in sin. Jesus saves us from sin,. Mat 1:21
