When He, the Spirit, is taken away, there is no more conviction of sin, righteousness or judgment in the earth for the unbelievers.
And why is that? Because God will send "strong delusion" to replace the Holy Spirit. Perhaps that strong delusion is already here, otherwise how do you explain the madness of all the elites?

Strong delusion.
Not just the elites but the people who support them.

No, it really is not stretching things a bit. Since the Church is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, if He is "taken out of the way" it would be the reverse of the Holy Spirit having been poured out upon earth on the day of Pentecost. He was sent from Heaven by the Father and the Son for the Church, and therefore He returns to Heaven with the Church. And unless He is taken out of the way on the earth, the Antichrist cannot taken total control of the earth (which is what God will allow).
Complete and utter fantasy!

Acts 2v16-21,38,39, CLEARLY teaches that the Holy Spirit is upon earth and working through the Church (the Body of Christ), throughout the whole of the Age of Grace (and especially during the Great Tribulation), right up until the Second Coming of Christ, immediately after the Great Tribulation! Matt 24v15-21,29-31, Rev 19v11-21, 11v15-19.

Multitudes are saved and kept during the Great Tribulation by the Holy Spirit! Rev7v9-17

There is NO Scripture that contradicts or negates Acts 2v16-21,38,39.

You are clearly fulfilling Rev 22v18,19, Matt 24v23-27 and 2Peter 3v16!

Nehemiah, I believe your speaking to those who believes their going into the tribulation. Don't waste your time. If that's what they believe, so be it.

My question is, who is the ‘He’?

The answer has been there all along. Just read the verse...

2 Thessalonians 2:3
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition"

What is Perdition?

Strong's Greek 684: apóleia
Definition: destruction, loss
Strong's Greek: 684. ἀπώλεια (apóleia) -- destruction, loss (biblehub.com)

Does the word 'Apollyon' ring a bell? Where does the Man of Sin come from?

Revelation 17:8
"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."

The Man of Sin ascends out of the Bottomless Pit. Who controls the Bottomless Pit?

Revelation 9:11
"And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."

Do you see it? In order for the Man of Sin to ascend out of the Bottomless Pit, Apollyon must be taken out of the way. Thus, the 'Restrainer' is Apollyon.

What about the 'falling away'? It is described here...

Daniel 8:9-10
"And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them."

The falling away are fallen angels. A 'star' falls from Heaven and the Key to the Bottomless Pit is given to him. Again, the Key is to escape the prison. Apollyon is the prison guard that must be taken out of the way so that the Key may be used.

2 Thessalonians 2:7, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth (restrains) will let, until he be taken out of the way.” My question is, who is the ‘He’?

In another post, I asked, “Can the church survive without the Holy Spirit.” Everyone who responded agreed that the church cannot survive without the Holy Spirit. I also agree.

So, who is the, he? And what happens when he is taken away? And will answering the above questions provide us with more information concerning the time of the rapture?

Our first hurdle will be who the “he” that’s to be taken away before “That Wicked (Lawless One) is revealed” 2 Thessalonians 2:8.

Scriptures tell us someone has to be taken away before the antichrist is revealed. Now, who can that be?

Here’s what we know: the mystery of iniquity: the devil’s disciples were already at work in Paul’s day. The future antichrist will be called the ‘Wicked One.’ Verse 8 also tells us the antichrist and his kingdom will be destroyed by Jesus Christ at his coming.

So, who’s the ‘he that is now restraining the devil’s empowered forces?

There are several lines of thought. Many thought it was the Roman empire in Paul’s day the Holy Spirit was holding back, but they’re long gone, and the Spirit is still with us. Could it be the devil himself? but why would he hold back the Wicked one? He wouldn’t, we can scratch him off. Could it be human government holding back evil? No, because governments will continue after the antichrist has been revealed.

That leaves us with the Holy Spirit working in the Christian community that is restraining evil and the revealing of the ‘Wicked One.’ The Holy Spirit dwells in every Christian with power; he comes, convinces, guides, speaks, and hears our prayers and prophecies.

Verse 7 says, “He will be taken out of the way.” Question: Where’s he going? I would say, back to heaven.

Now, if the church cannot survive without the Holy Spirit, as we discussed earlier, it will be taken with him, then the ‘Wicked One’ is revealed.

And when the antichrist is made known, he will cause havoc on Earth for seven years. Now if the above is correct, the Holy Spirit and church go into heaven, the antichrist is then revealed and rules for seven-years, It would appear to add evidence to the teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture.

Your response to the above. Stay on the subject, please.

Just so we know where we stand who do you think it is

Your timelines are all mixed up. I have no idea what you're talking about. Concerning this verse,
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition"

Many in these last days are falling away from the Christian faith. America is down to 40%, Canada, England, France, Australia all once 90%+ Christians are down to 3 and 4%.

Soon, very soon, the church and Holy Spirt will be caught up to heaven. Only then will "That Wicked (one) be revealed." And when the wicked one (antichrist) is revealed, he comes after the working of Satan with power, signs and lying wonders." That's when the seven years of tribulation begin. Three-and-a-half years later he will be wounded to death, that's when the 2ed beast of revelation comes on the scene, Revelation 13:11.

Compare the above with the revealing of the antichrist (1st beast). Revelation 13:2, will get his power from the devil, his (throne), and great authority.

who you think the man of perdition is, this is what I was asking.

I call him the man of predictiment 😊
Nobody will know, until the one who letteth will let is taken out of the way. This man of perdition will be of Assyrian blood, a man who can trace his bloodline back to the Persian empire.

The Holy Spirit was sent by both the Father and Son to guide the church. When the Lord returns for his bride, the work of the Holy Spirit will be finished. His place is in heaven, not on earth. When John was taken into heaven by way of the door (Jesus is the way) Revelation 4:2, he not only sees the Lord Jesus in heaven, but he also sees the seven Spirits of God. (The seven Spirits are another study.)

Hope that helps.
I got your point the first time but you obviously don't get mine.

As stated very succinctly, in my previous post, which you responded to, your error here is not in Eschatology, (The study of end times) but in your understanding of Theology, (The study of God). You don't seem to understand that God is Omnipresent. He is in all things and all things receive their being and move within God. Nothing is separate from God nor can it be. If it were then it would cease to exist.

Act 17:28a for in him we live, and move, and have our being;...
Col 1:16 for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;
Col 1:17 and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

At this very moment -
The Holy Spirit is in all creation but not in the same way. He, as God, sustains the lost but He is not in them in the same way as He is in the saved. He is in the heavens as He is on the earth and in the earth. He is the "Seal" of the saved but does not seal the lost. He is ministering to the saved but confounds the lost.

When the church is taken up, He will be with them but He will still be with the 144,000 that are sealed on earth and all of those Regenerated in the Tribulation Days.

Quit trying to put the Holy Spirit in a "box" or speak for Him as to where He should be.

This is Jesus speaking to His disciples:

5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Clearly, the Helper or The Holy Spirit is sent to the Lord’s people.
But there is something else He says…

8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”

The Spirit is also at work in the world, convicting the people of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
I do not believe this requires the intervention of the church. I believe the Spirit does this as an executive function of His position: the One who speaks for the Lord. If this were not so, men would have an excuse.

When He, the Spirit, is taken away, there is no more conviction of sin, righteousness or judgment in the earth for the unbelievers.
There’s a whole study here.
Are you suggesting, that the Holy Spirit, speaks apart from the Word of God?

Are you suggesting, that the Holy Spirit, speaks apart from the Word of God?
I have no idea how you got that from what I wrote.

The Word of God is Christ.

The scripture is clear: the Spirit only speaks what He receives from Christ.

"..for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you."

A person does not have to wait for the Bible to be translated in their language to be convicted by the Holy Spirit. Believers live by every word that continues to proceed from the mouth of God. That's what this verse means:

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
