Notice the thing Abraham and I have in common: Jesus. Notice what Jesus and I don't have in common: Abraham.
Who's actually important: Jesus. He's the promise.
“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:56, 58‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentile through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-39‬ ‭

“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. ….For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:16, 27-29‬ ‭

“As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when you realise what prophecy im refering to in exodus you will realise the prophecy of genesis was fulfilled 🙂

I want you to find it for yourself
I am not talking about a prophecy

I am talking about a covenant promise and a gift God gave to a people

So I doubt we are talking about the same thing

it has to do about the promise of god making him a great nation and giving that nation a gift.

Why do you want to talk about eternal life. And Not a promise God gave to a nation of people?

The land portion was already fulfilled...Joshua 21:43. And the meaning for the giving of the land was so God's people had a place to enter into His rest. That, too, is fulfilled in Christ. In fact, all the promises of God are in Him yes, and in Him amen.

Don't forget 1Kings 4:21+ where Israel ruled in the days of Solomon when all the kingdoms gave tribute to him. Then so from the flood to Babel there was no ruling kingdom(Lord confused their language/put a stop to it) Then Egypt became the earths dominant until the Hebrews were delivered and became dominant in the region/world(1 kings 4) ,,then Babylon,M/Persia,Greece and then the sixth Rome... https://biblehub.com/interlinear/1_kings/4.htm

you where talking about prophecy and your now backtracking on your words to make your mistake correct, any your still not correct.

But that ok because I can wait for people to wake up, I've waited for years with people.

I really don't mind if and when you find out the gift in exodus if that's what you want it to mean now.

I will stand by morals and let you seek and ask God, as I'm instructed to ask you to ask God and not my word for it.

I see you've already turned this discussion in to a personal salvation issue with people so I will now bow out. Good day

I was talking about prophecy concerning Matt 24. But we stopped talking about that along time ago. And started to talk about the abrahamic covenant

But that ok because I can wait for people to wake up, I've waited for years with people.
I look forward to it. Although, your not the first one to say this to me…..

1. What prophecy in exodus? i thought you were going to wake me up?
2. i did not turn it into a salvation issue, they did.. How can I believe you will wake me up when you can not even discern who is saying what?

The promise given to Abraham wasn't eternal life. The promise was that the eternal life previously promised would come through his lineage.
We are speaking about eternal, simply one aspect of it. If you want to broaden the scope of the conversation, we will have to move on to Christ.

no if I tell you now you'll reject it.

I can't bare feeling rejected in truth anymore than you can but you should ask God to help you with that.

So why don't you stop feeling like your salvation is at risk for a simple discussion.

Because obviously this is how your reacting when you feal your truth is rejected.

-actually Abraham was given a few promises.. Only one part of all of the promises concerns the eternal life given through his seed (in you shall all the nations of the world be blessed)

I am talking about a few of the other promises. Which have nothing to do with this one promise

My salvation is not at risk. Why do you continue to think I think it does.’’Once again, I am not saying this is a salvation issue. The others are talking about the promise being salvation not me..

I said and meant personal salvation issue where you hint at someone not being saved.

As for salvation being a theme of this discussion that's fine nowt wrong with that.

But did you ever actually read the parable and take in what it’s saying though lol ? what’s Jesus saying to them in that parable ?
Yes. I did and I do.

I was wondering the same thing about you.

"what's Jesus saying TO THEM in that parable ?"... I explained that in my post. No need to repeat myself here. :) (see that post again, maybe??)

it doesn’t seem like your willing to actually acknolwedge what he’s saying to them I’m not sure this is going to be worth our time can you acknowledge what Jesus is talking about right there
I did acknowledge what Jesus is talking about.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate [ponder just what it means to be "LEFT UNTO YOU DESOLATE" ;)]: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭KJV‬‬
... and that is EXACTLY what they will "SAY" in that future "7-yr period" leading up to Christ's Second Coming to the earth (what we call the tribulation period), FOR the promised and prophesied earthly Milllennial Kingdom age, commencing upon His "RETURN" there (to the earth)... the MK age variously KNOWN (in scripture) AS "the kingdom OF THE heavenS" (not "UP IN Heaven")... "the wedding FEAST / SUPPER"... "the MEAL [G347]"... "My barn"... "the throne of His glory"... etc.

[they will "SAY" this (in the "future" Trib yrs)... reflective of what Joseph's own brothers were required, in/during Joseph's "seven year famine" ;) ]

John 6:39,40 is speaking of two distinct matters which will be raised up "IN the LAST DAY" (not a "singular 24-hr day" kind of "day"--but the LAST MILLENIUM--the SEVENTH and LAST--what Hosea calls "IN the THIRD DAY" because factored from the time of His ascension, in that passage, referring to ISRAEL's "future"... same subject as Ezek37:12-14,20-23,26,28... and Dan12:1-3,4... and Isa26:13-21... and in Romans 11:15[,25]... etc... ALL of these passages LIKENING it to a "resurrection," but speaking of Israel coming up out of the "graveyard of nations, WHERE SCATTERED")] :

--[Jn6] v.39 speaks of PEOPLE (the "saved" PERSONS... bodily resurrected);

--[Jn6] v.40 speaks of THINGS (His throne / government-al THINGS... the kind of thing that His disciples asked Him regarding the TIMING about in Acts 1 ("wilt thou AT THIS TIME *restore* again the kingdom TO ISRAEL?"... and to which He responded to their question ABOUT ITS TIMING with words concerning ITS TIMING, not its NATURE which aspect they well-understood... they just did not understand its TIMING, hence their specific question to Him there])

And in Acts 3:21, Peter says (to "ye men of Israel" v.12), about Jesus... "whom indeed it behooves heaven to receive until the times of restoration of all things of which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from the age."

It seems to me that it is you who does not understand what is being said in these various passages under present discussion.
