The thief on the cross who believed was definitely water baptized after he believed....

Its obvious! Or, he could not be saved.

End of story.
that's just not true because Jesus went and preached to people in paradise, the paradise jesus was speaking of was the sheol, not heaven.

So your closed back blanket statement are that of a legalistic view

The answer will be: "But he was a "special Case". When a person has bought into the "Baptismal regeneration" LIE, they've already developed all the "Rationalizations" they need to stay with it.

When they get caught up in such a rationalization?

They have lock and loaded their brain.... But the trigger stays frozen.
They will end up trying to pistol whip you mentally... and then finally throwing the pistol at you in hopes of hurting you somehow.
But not once can they make a correct application and hit a bullseye.

flesh begets flesh....

No worries over water baptism… Jesus Christ FULFILLED all works of righteousness for us for salvation including water baptism (by John in the Jordan River)….

The whole household of the Gentile Cornelius received the Holy Spirit without being water baptized first and we know the Holy Spirit seals all believers.

So what is the purpose of Water baptism?

It’s much like circumcision… a SIGN that you BELIEVE in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and King and you are NOW in COVENANT with Him.

every believer receives the Joly Holy Spirit upon confession but then you must be baptised by the Holy ghost, This can only happen after water baptism 😃

The NT rebirth became a reality for those living AFTER the Holy Ghost was poured out at Pentecost. (Acts 2:4, 36-42) Jesus prophesied that repentance and remission of sin would be preached in His name to all nations beginning in Jerusalem. (Luke 24:46-49)

The message was indeed first presented in Jerusalem and continues to be carried into all nations:

"Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sin, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Good to see you back.
I enjoy reading your comments and I have bookmarked your explanation on Salvation on another thread many months ago.

Acts 10:47-48

So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

I agree. Like circumcision symbolises putting off the old man and/or sinful nature - the foreskin of our ❤️ , baptism symbolises being immersed in Christ - buried with Him in death, and raised with Him in His resurrection.

So ho much Holy Spirit do you receive upon confession? 50%? Does that make you half-filled or half-empty?

I don't believe it is a total necessity to be baptized. If you do, it is just a sign to YOU of your faith to yourself. God doesn't need any signs; He IS the sign. Yeshua took ALL that with Him when He died and rose and ascended to His Father. Yes, I've been baptized. What gets me is that if you go into a "new church", they tell you that "unless you are baptized HERE, you're not saved". Yea, I've been told that too!!! I told them, I was baptized, but they insist I'm not saved because it wasn't done at their church! which is ludicrous! I tried to tell them, YOU ONLY NEED IT ONCE, if at all! OI VEY!!! needless to say, I did not stay at that "church".

Did you notice that the Gentile household of Cornelius RECEIVED the baptism with the Holy Spirit BEFORE they were water baptized?

I do love the precious gift of the Holy Spirit…
