Departing from.prophecy would be departing from the truth

How long has it been since you departed from the truth?Who was it the hat convinced you that Jesus second coming was in 70 ad?

I read Matthew 24 with proper hermeneutics.
I came to the truth not departed.

I am not going not going to even try to persuade because it is obvious you are emotionally attached to your futurist view as a many on here.

There are things you state I do agree with so I just support in those areas and pray for the rest to come by objective analysis and God's prompting.

I think best just to regard Josephus as a historian, not how his witness lines up with the Book of Revelation.
I think we should be able to trust the word's of Jesus at face value ... look at the time stamps in the Book.

If someone is going to make the claim that the prophecies concerning the end we're in 70 ad,I would think someone would have recorded seeing those events taking place.

No one has yet to quote anyone saying they saw these things.

Revelation 6
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Mathew 24 corresponds to the events of Christs coming as described in revelation ,Daniel , Zechariah.

And no,Christ did not come and raise the dead in 70 ad nor did he come and reign in 70 ad.

The end of the age.

The end of role of the Jews and beginning of the age of Christ Jesus.
Not the end of the world.

He is reigning right now, hence ...."HeisHere"

I am not going to back and forth on this with you, your mind is not open because it is too much for you to examine what you have believed, because you are emotionally invested.

Scriptures does not specifically say who the 2 witnesses will be so one has to read the Book of Speculations to make any claims about who these guys will be.

As with a lot of the end times stuff - we'll see how it plays out when the time comes so there's no need to argue over it because nobody can know for sure and all we can do is speculate
Yeah I agree there’s no need to argue I was just showing you that scripture actually does point to two individuals

honestly I don’t even see the two witnesses as two men who appear in the end anyways lol I don’t look at revelation that way

No the Lord did not come in 70ad.You have no proof the Lord came .The people in Jerusalem were not safe in 70.ad .

Zech 14

9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

Please do not twist my words, that smacks of dishonesty, I stated the role of the Jews, which means their lineage from which Christ Jesus, the Messiah entered into this world.

Best not to cherry pick verses, Zechariah is not a chronological book.

Old covenant Jerusalem was about to perish ( first century) and the heavenly Jerusalem would be installed.
See Galatians 4:22; Philippians 3; Hebrews 12.

The end.

Zech 14 is about the coming of the Lord when he stands upon the Mt of olives

That did not take place in 70 ad.

Have you found any sources to quote that states Jesus second coming was in 70 ad?

See Galatians 4:22; Philippians 3; Hebrews 12.

The end.

You believe the Lord came and destroyed all the nations that attack Jerusalem in 70 ad,?
Do you have any eye witnesses that saw the nations consumed in 70 ad?

Zech 14

11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth

What does he rews 12 say concerning this is great war?

And there are some christians who have been taught how to bring about the time of the end and how to cause great tribulation. Some are in very powerful positions.

The so called just war theory came originally from the heretic augustine and is most active today among catholics who believe it's OK to take offensive action even when the enemy is not a threat.

Actual self defense is not a sin though as we see in scripture numerous times where the Lord destroyed people to protect His people. When Jesus returns He will be bringing vengeance and wrath against those that know not God and disobey the Gospel

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

According to Luke 21.

We are now in the age of the Gentiles.

God judged Jerusalem and allowed the desolation of the temple.

Shortly after the nation of Israel existed no more, they lost the promised land.

Matthew's gospel compresses these two events together, so people are confused when they only read Matthew's account.

Old covenant Israel was effectively terminated in AD 70.

The modern nation of Israel is mostly a secular nation.

The Mosaic law is not the national law of Israel.

Israel has a democratic government.

First century Israel and twenty first century Israel are chalk and cheese.

According to Matthew's gospel people did rise from the dead.

Matthew 27:51-53
And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. Also the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

The one thing most Christians who read the New Testament will not do.

Is read the New Testament letters in their context.

According to your interpretation to Luke,

According to revelation 11 the gentiles occupy Jerusalem for 1260 days.
You need to do your homework to learn what gentiles revelation 11:2 is talking about.
