Well according to The gospel its not enough to just to believe Cameron

Luke 24:45-47

New International Version

Jesus own words

45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem..

This clearly says after the cross that after Jesus is risen, unless a person repents and believes he will perish.

And it's the same before the cross

Luke 13:3

New International Version

Jesus own words.

3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Tell me Cameron which one is it, must we only believe Jesus will forgive us without repenting and he will pour our his grace on us.

Or must we repent first before he pours out his grace on us.

It looks like it's saying after Jesus is risen you must repent in his name to receive Grace, or would you say all you have to do is believe and you will automatically be forgiven, without the need to repent.

Don't you have to be forgiven before you can receive Grace.

Then I also have to remind you I can' only see merited favour here.

I've just heard a sermon that people don't actually have to repent, what do you think about that. 🤔
Everyone who gets saved repents. It's a Godly sorrow that leads men to repentance...2 Corinthians 7:10. The sorrow is given by God as part of salvation. Still unmerited.
Question: is God glorified in what He does or what we do?

You were saying I could boast because I believed.

Here!

But where's the boasting? For I believe anyone else can do the same. That's not boasting.

:coffee::coffee::coffee:
You can boast all you want. I'm saying it's misplaced boasting. Salvation is of God, not man. You believed because of the work God did, not you.

Go back and reread his post. He said: So our believing in Christ merited nothing in God's eyes?
Are you saying there is no merit in obeying God?

John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

John 6:29
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

John 14:1
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

John 20:31
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Seems to me like believing God is exactly what He wants us to do and therefore pleases Him. Why would angels rejoice if it was not a worthy action? Why you interpret it to mean it somehow elevates us in some way and not God, beats me. I see it as the natural thing to do as it is what we are designed to do.

nope you have to repent first which is very consistent with scripture.

Your saying a person will only repent after there saved, which is teaching hyper grace. Which is teaching no need to repent because you will be saved first.

There is no personal merit. The merit is in what Jesus has done. That's why all the glory belongs to God.
Believing is the result of what God. He chooses to be gracious, . He circumcises the heart. He provides the hearing the hearing that produces faith. He grants the Godly sorrow that works repentance. He does it all. And He does it in spite of the fact that we are in no way deserving.
So yes, God does want us to believe and it does please Him. That's why He gives the hearing that leads to faith.

I gave the verse that shows that God Himself gives the sorrow that leads to repentance. I've said that everyone who gets saved repents.

That is a ridiculous thing to say when you think about it. If God hadn't done any work there would be nothing to believe in. ROFL

I'm not talking about the cross. I'm talking about when a person comes to faith. This too is the work of God.

He never claimed personal merit. That's your bias showing because you interpret it that way. There are those who get the hearing and reject His salvation. It can be no other way otherwise God is condemning people on the basis of what they never had which, would be God's failing in that instance.

He simply did what God designed him for and granted him the grace to do it. Us taking God up on His offer is exactly what He wants us to do.

Titus 2:11
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

Everyone who is given hearing has faith produced in them. That's what the hearing is for...hearing always produces faith and conversion...Matthew 13:10-17.

He didn't deny personal merit. In fact, he said anyone could take credit.

"For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world
to be holy and blameless in His presence."

Ephesians 1:4

It does not say that we were simply chosen by Him.
But, specifically, that we were "chosen in Him."

What does "chosen in Him" mean?

Understanding that phrase is the key to understanding predestination.

grace and peace ..............
exactly in him that is the key we don't deserve him we fail we are the sinners before him but in him and only in him do we redeem do we shine does he nring the best of us and makes us much more than we are what we think of ourselves
don't listen to any naysayers your on the right path you will recieve his unbelievable joy the treasure anddeeper depth of hid heart will be yours

Your teaching hyper grace, plain and simple buddy.

And as always you keep denying clear scripture.

Before the cross buddy

Luke 13:3

New International Version

3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Jesus own words, unless you repent,

Which means you, and by yourself.

This is before the cross.

Look and here is after the cross

Luke 24:45-47

New International Version

Jesus own words

45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem..

See it's the same thing

You can not add hyper grace to theese scriptures and you are teaching hyper grace, buddy.

You deserved him before the cross when you where in the garden of eden walking around innocent with no shame of who you where, or who your father was.

Jesus was loving you then,

Listen, he never stopped loving you.

You still deserve his love, he hasn't changed, you did in the garden.

The change of opposing opinions on what we deserve is on mans part.

The fact that he clothed you after the garden meant, you never stopped being deserving of his love.

What a person has to do, is love back by walking in obedience.

Which as the scripture says draw nearer to him and he will draw nearer to you.

James 4:8

New International Version

8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Again this is asking you do something for him to save you.

What is being taught in this thread and many other threads is hyper grace buddy.

I would of stopped long ago replying,

But I haven't because certain people involved, I have threated as my own.

But now for the first in weeks of this clear rejection of scripture, Im making it known hyper grace is being taught.

This is what is being taught throughout this forum, which is hyper grace.

Not in the same way as this, but identical to this.
