And while I'm gaining some amount of respect over the calm and thoughtful post I left, I've been doing some house cleaning today which has allowed me some time of retrospection on the matter. Since that was what was last on my mind when I stared the housecleaning.

Are you aware that during the administration of the previous guy the Joint Chiefs of Staff; the most powerful military leaders in the nation, and likely the planet, actually held discussions about what they were going to do if the GOP contender decided to really carry out his humorous threat to give N. Korea a war like they'd never seen before. What they were going to do if he said, "Hey!! Give me that red button!!!!" How they were going to very likely refuse any such order if it came down to it.

I don't want such a person, especially knowing his bitter penchant and lust to get even with people, having that power in my nation.

Look, we've got missiles. And we've had missiles for decades. And we have never had an occasion for the Joint Chiefs of Staff to be considering refusing a lawful order from the president over nuclear armaments. Never! Not ever!!!! Never!!!!! That has never, never happened.

The guy is bitter, hateful looney. He is not smart. If he were he'd figure out how to work with people to get an agenda done like every other president before him. If he were, he'd know that getting a new healthcare plan would be a pretty lengthy and hard fought battle in the legislature. But no. He thinks that the governance of our nation is that he can just go in there and command whatever he wants to be done and it is. But as he very, very, very quickly found out. That's not the way it's done. The man is an idiot!!!! Any, let me repeat ANY politician and most regular people would have a pretty good idea how hard it is to work out a healthcare plan when it isn't all about you just ordering people to do things. ANYBODY^!!!!!!! But he had no idea. DUH!

Why would he even think that it was his place to go on national television and tell the nation where a hurricane was going. Does he really even believe that he's the smartest weatherman, too? The man's a nut! His brain isn't wired right, as a opposed to the majority of us.

No! No, please!! I don't see a single redeeming value in the GOP candidate winning the presidency. The only value would be to him. It would sure boost his ego through the roooooooof!!!!!! And then we'll all find out how hard it is that nobody knew to fix the border issue. Then he'll find out how hard it is to just sweep his hand across his desk and say, "Abortions are illegal across the land." He's just too stupid to have figured it out yet or he's smart enough to tell you what your itching ears want to hear. Which is it?

God bless you and vote wisely

Since you are seriously suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome -- which is basically HATRED, you have already forfeited the right to judge Trump. You cannot even write his name and call him "the GOP contender" *(which is disrespectful and contemptuous). He loves America and Americans, but you hate him because he stands for what is right, just, good, lawful, and Constitutional.
Hi @Nehemiah6

Sure, complaining about someone's nature is hate. Ok. Then in your mind I willingly stand guilty if that's your measuring rod for hatred. I'm sorry, and I say this is calmly and peacefully and without malice as I can, but you don't get to tell me what I've forfeited by just posting how I see things. Yes, you are correct that I don't care to write the man's name. Do you know why that is? Sure, a three time married Lothario, who really made pretty good bank by charging us a fortune for all the stays at all of his resorts across the globe; who claimed that he'd have too much work to play golf and then went out and played arguably more golf than any president ever has stands for what is right, just, good, lawful and Constutional. Ok. That's your postition and you're obviously sticking with it.

Well, I've given you mine and from the responses I've been getting, I would argue that I've lost any right to speak what I believe to be the truth about the man. And everything I wrote can be verified. So, do with it what you want.

God bless you and vote wisely

Now you have simply lied through your teeth. Harris climbed the political ladder by having illicit affairs. And since she stands for everything ungodly, you are praising an evildoer because you hate Trump.
Hi @Nehemiah6

I sure hope God's got your back on that. You are accusing someone of getting ahead in their career by having illicit affairs. The last statement is just poppycock. Something that sounds good to your itching ears and that's ok with me. And no, I've never been one to believe that because I don't agree with how someone lives their life, as hate.

... because you hate Trump.

I'm going to call you on that claim. Is it your belief that if someone disagrees with how someone else lives, that they then hate that person? If not, then on what basis are you charging me for hate? Lay it out for me. Something like, "Ted, I see in your posts such and such and that's why I think you hate the man."

Oh, and since I have never heard that Harris slept her way to the top, in other words, what I said was not lying through my teeth if that's what you're basing my lying on. One has to know of something before they can lie about it. They might not be right about it, but it's not lying if you don't know. Lying is to tell someone something that is false/true that they know is not.

Looks to me that Ted is a Leftist plant who can come to this forum to attack Donald Trump and promote evil and destructive Kamala (Scamala) Harris.
Hi @Nehemiah6

I'm a plant? Is that really how you see people who don't agree with your political position? That's really pretty funny.

You know, I've followed a lot of your posts around these threads. You and I have had discussions on other subjects that we don't agree on. And I want to assure staff that I'm calm and accepting of this treatment that you're giving me. But I think you're really stepping over a pretty broad line with that charge. And as I've said before, using derogatory names to refer to others is not a godly attitude. So, I'd ask that you reread that post and then pray about what the Lord thinks you should do about it for a moment.

In politics we talk about style over substance.

Substance has waned considerably over the years, but I cannot for the life of me see how anyone can listen to Harris gibberish and even find style she relies on poor disingenuous imitation of others.

And we have media scrubbing her negatives, Google searches for Trump bringing up her adventures first, basically the superior democrat machine at work trying to make her look good to a naive public waiting to see who beyonce votes for as their guide. What a mess.

And there we have it. Trump's not smart (earlier in the post) and Ted is wired right (meaning left).

FWIW, I saw this guy coming from a mile away after reading his first post re: evangelism only. Hi friends, don't criticize the degeneracy, vote communist, support degeneracy but take no responsibility for it, Christians have nothing to do with voting to curb evil....

Hi @studier

While that may or may not be true, I certainly haven't seen any evidence that she's being 'scrubbed clean' in the media, you must not watch Fox. But you do know the old saying that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, right? Consider the name David Pecker and go back over all of his testimony in the trial where he talks about having conversations with the GOP candidate back in 2015-16. It is literally said that they wanted to make a certain story to go away.

Hypocrisy, and that's if your claim is true, doesn't usually wear well. What have you got to substantiate that some dirty dish story on VP Harris isn't making it to the light of day because the media is squelching it. I mean that's literally what the charges were against the players in the FOX settlement agreement.

Hi @studier

I don't have anyone on ignore that I'm aware of. I just signed on here a few days ago, as you seem to well know, and I've never requested to ignore any one. I'm always willing to listen to what others say. Please confirm that I have you on ignore and let me know and I'll see what I need to do to take that off. My apologies if I have done something that has put you on ignore.

Hi again @studier

Are you claiming that you read a post from me that said what you seem to be quoting from one of my posts? "Hi friends, don't criticize the degeneracy, vote communist, support degeneracy but take no responsibility for it..."

Can you please leave the thread and post number for me on that quote?

Suffice it to say the USA is crumbling in many ways, at home and with its foreign policy and there is no wise vote......people just do not know it yet.
The economics of the country are beyond repair, it is entering a crisis and its foreign policy ugh! ... and I will leave it there.

And while I can see that people are buying into the hope that Trump likes to project, you really have not made a good case why voting for Democrats is wise.

I would think protecting the border alone would be enough to make you reconsider?

Hi all,

My apologies if I've caused an issue on this thread and unfortunately, it's beginning to feel pretty ugly and I'll take responsibility for my part in it. But I was particularly incensed to be called a liar:
Now you have simply lied through your teeth.
So, I'm going to take my leave here and let this thread go where it will.

Hi @HeIsHere

The border isn't a big deal to me. Now, maybe it would be if I lived on it, but I lived in Miami for about 30 years and I've had plenty of friendships with immigrants. They're really real people. They have lives and hopes and they want for their families what we want for ours. I don't see that God's people should be too overly concerned about people living around us, just because they don't have some natural citizenship where they live. No, I'm not overly concerned that terrorists are coming across the border. The last terrorists didn't walk over the Mexican border with the United States. If some nation has a plot afoot to attack the U.S., I trust that the people who research such things will find out about it in time, but obviously 9/11 proves that they don't always. But they do a lot of times. Our FBI agents have broken up many such plots and some of them are even domestic players that want to terrorize our nation or government. Think Timothy McVeigh. And no, I don't buy into this narrative that illegal immigrants are bringing these tons and tons of Fentanyl across the border. Border agents have proven over and over and over again that those drugs come through pretty normal shipping transactions between countries. They find trucks and cars with hidden compartments. But if we want to get rid of the fentanyl issue, then all we have to do is get rid of the reason that people try so hard to bring it here.

I'm pretty fine with how our border agencies work, but I do agree that they can do better. All this noise about them being murderers and rapists and criminals and that these other nations are emptying their jails and insane asylums to our border... I'm sorry, but anyone who believes that is just not thinking clearly. That's just noise that the GOP candidate knows pushes your button. Don't let him push your button with lies. The very, very vast majority of those who come across our borders are looking for a better life. They've actually read the sign on our front door and taken it to heart.

And why shouldn't they? Everything we promote about ourselves is that we're the best, living in the best place, living the best lives. With a sign on the door that pretty much says if that's what you want... come on in.

So now I'm out of here.

God bless you all,
Ted

A country which does not thoroughly vet the background of those who enter its border is going to suffer the consequences, I was not making a quality assessment / statement about the caliber of those who enter the country legally.

This mass migration which is being allowed is about trying to offset the declining population and the need for workers, that is why the process is so chaotic.

Perhaps if abortion was not so sacrosanct the USA would not be suffering these population challenges.

I don't watch Fox or any regular TV programming or news. I might click into a brief segment here and there that I see posted. Actually for the past week or two it's been interesting watching ChristianChat News and being amazed at how much media some of the posters must watch.

I'll leave it to you to run a quick search on allegations of media scrubbing by the Harris campaign. It's pretty easy to find if it's of interest. FWIW, it wasn't "some dirty dish story" I was referring to. All the things like the candidates past sexual immorality is what it is. The scrubbing I'm referring to has more to do with policies like immigration, etc.

I wasn't making any comparisons and comparisons don't negate what I said.

A few nice neighbors in Miami vs. how many millions of illegal immigrants now? And in a nation that votes for its leaders, some of whom want illegal immigrants to vote?

What can one say to this line of reasoning...

It was God who created borders and languages for a reason. I guess that doesn't matter anymore.

Conservative estimates say that 45 million illegals live in the US right now. Compare that with 450,000 active service duty members and the military is outnumbered 100:1

Hi @ThereRoseaLamb

I can only speak for myself concerning my understanding of the political issue that is being manifest in this election, but I would challenge some of your claims.
No problem, just know I'm a straight shooter and I haven't seen anyone yet defend being a Christian and voting Dem. Not according to the Word anyway.

When you say that the country is in a mess, is this a phenomenon that has just popped up in the last 3 years? I mean, from where I sit in my small little city, I see that America has had problems politically and morally for quite a while now. So, I'd question that this is something that the present administration has brought on. We, as a nation, have been fairly supportive of the immoral sexual practices of the world for quite a few decades now. We also, at this point in time, accept divorce as pretty much a normal occurrence and don't seem a bit bothered by that, and haven't been for at least 40 years. And that's exactly what the Scriptures portray will be happening. So, I can't understand how you seem to think this is some new problem.
No, I don't see it as a new problem, but it has been made exponentially worse with this present admin. It was this admin. that invited trans to the WH where they flashed their bare breasts. Then at Christmas had trans and gays dancing though the WH. There were drugs found in the WH and unless you're totally stupid, you know where that came from. This admin has been behind the push for trans children to get surgery without their parents permission. Like one parent said, "they can't give my kid a Tylenol without permission" And again, don't deny it, we had an uproar over this in our town and I personally know the parent it happened too. They called parents terrorists for standing up for their kids. It's this admin pushing men in womens sports, and bathrooms and showers. It's this admin saying books are being banned when it's porn being read to kids on how to give oral sex to their gay partner. It's this admin that pushes abortion and wants no limit. It's this admin that has made food, gas, heating, homes not affordable because of their climate change religion. They have limited free speech, they have allowed criminals to take over the streets along with the homeless. And they will make it worse still if given more time.

But the GOP contender doesn't have any answer for that phenomenon.
I don't know where you were the four years he was in office. Nor have you listened to anything he has been talking about lately.

And if we really are a democratic republic,
I'm not from America, but my understanding is this is a republic, at least that's what Wall Builders have said. I guess that could be argued here by Americans if they wish.

then those ungodly attitudes are likely to get more support than any godly initiatives, as far as the future of our entire nation.
That doesn't mean you sit on your hands and give up.

Look, we are not a godly nation. Maybe some time 300 years ago one might consider that our rule of law and Constitution certainly gave a nod to God, but those days are long gone and mankind continues to fulfill Paul's claims about the sin that festers and grows to the point that people are inventing new ways of doing evil and not only doing such things but giving approval to those who do them. I'm sorry, but as I understand the Scriptures, the world, overall, is going to hell in a hand basket.
63% of the U.S. population, or 210 million people, are Christian. And we want the freedom to pray, read the Bible, speak about God in public places. We aren't giving up, we are standing in the gap. We aren't turning this country over to Marxists, Socialists and Communists. I don't know if you have children or not, no one knows the time of His return. We are to occupy till He comes, not give up.

Now God asks His children not to be a part of that. We are to be about promoting and proclaiming the truth of God's word and His offer of salvation through the blood of His Son. That doesn't mean that we can't vote for who we feel is the best person to run the nation.
Well, I'm glad you added that. So what's all this other discussion for. We agree on that point.

Having said that, here's why I can't support the likes of a man like the GOP contender, no matter that I know the world is going to hell in that hand basket. He is morally bankrupt.
Sure you can! Christians gave Clinton a second term, and he'd hump a snake if it would hold still. Christians voted Obama in twice! Yet he said the most beautiful sound to his ears was the Muslim call to prayer. Have you ever heard the Muslim call to prayer? They voted for John Mc Cain, no saint of his own admission, they just didn't push him over the line. And finally Biden. None of these men were any better than Trump in the "morally bankrupt" department.

Now, you can argue that the policies and laws and considerations of the entire governmental system of the United States is not in line with what God asks of us, but I'm not considering any of that. I'm just looking at the two people that are standing before us and asking for our vote to support them as the next leader of the nation. The GOP contender is morally bankrupt himself.
You seem stuck on that. I just answered this.

He is a compulsive liar and preener of his own beauty and greatness.
No, Biden wins the gold star for compulsive liar. I don't think he could tell the truth if his life depended on it. And Obama, he's smart enough to be underhanded about his deceptions.

Literally everything he claims about himself is that he's the best that has ever existed in whatever he says and does. Friend, that's just an impossibility.
Trump isn't a politician. People who are voting for him know when he's being serious. But he's been called every single name in the book. Every single one. He's been lied about since he said he was running for office the first time. All these Dems were kissing his behind trying to get into Mar a Lago. Now he's everything but a murderer. If everyone you knew turned on you you'd try and defend yourself too.

And I saw his first administration. So I can say with all truth that isn't true. He has not been the best president. He has not been better to blacks than anyone has ever been.
He's better than any other politician has been to the blacks. That's the reason the Dems are scared to death, they are losing black votes and they never thought they would. Lowest unemployment with blacks, minorities, women under Trump.
