Hi @PennEd
a much stronger believer in the Lord Jesus.

Mr. Obama described the (Muslim) call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.

“Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is okay and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith. Or should we stick with the sermon on the mount that is so radical, that's it's doubtful our own defense dept. would survive it's application." Obama

Obama was describing how jobs had been disappearing in small towns in Pennsylvania and across the Midwest for 25 years with nothing to replace them. He then added: 'It's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment, as a way to explain their frustrations.'

So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.

Falsani:
So you got yourself born again?

OBAMA:
Yeah, although I don’t — I retain from my childhood and my experiences growing up, a suspicion of dogma. And I’m not somebody who is always comfortable with language that implies I’ve got a monopoly on the truth, or that my faith is automatically transferable to others.

I’m a big believer in tolerance. I think that religion at it’s best comes with a big dose of doubt. I’m suspicious of too much certainty in the pursuit of understanding just because I think people are limited in their understanding.

I think that, particularly as somebody who’s now in the public realm and is a student of what brings people together and what drives them apart, there’s an enormous amount of damage done around the world in the name of religion and certainty.

Falsani:
Who’s Jesus to you?

OBAMA:
 Right.
Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.

And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

I think that the difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and proselytize. There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.

Falsani: You don’t believe that?

OBAMA:
I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell.
I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.
That’s just not part of my religious makeup.

Falsani: Do you believe in heaven?

OBAMA:
Do I believe in the harps and clouds and wings?

Falsani: A place spiritually you go to after you die?

OBAMA:
What I believe in is that if I live my life as well as I can, that I will be rewarded. I don’t presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, the aligning myself to my faith and my values is a good thing.

Falsani: What is sin?

OBAMA:
Being out of alignment with my values.

Falsani: What happens if you have sin in your life?

OBAMA:
I think it’s the same thing as the question about heaven. In the same way that if I’m true to myself and my faith that that is its own reward, when I’m not true to it, it’s its own punishment.

Then of course there is his good friend Jeremiah Wright, who he denied and distanced himself from after he became president. He dropped his good friend pretty quickly. It's clear from his responses above that Obama doesn't even understand what being a Christian is. And he is certainly not "born again". Maybe you should just stop and do some research before you blindly throw your support behind someone. He certainly isn't a "strong believer".

Jawbone of an Ass? Why not just say Donald Trump?

Judges 15:1 But it came to pass after a while, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in. 2 And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her. 3 And Samson said unto them, This time shall I be blameless in regard of the Philistines, when I do them a mischief. 4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between every two tails. 5 And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks and the standing grain, and also the oliveyards. 6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they said, Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he hath taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire. 7 And Samson said unto them, If ye do after this manner, surely I will be avenged of you, and after that I will cease. 8 And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the cleft of the rock of Etam.

When the US rejected the Lord He turned his face from us. It was reasonable to think that the Lord utterly hated us, but we have a covenant with Him and He is a covenant God. When you join Corporate America with Social Justice Warrior by the tail (two foxes) and then light that with Cancel Culture (fire brand) the result is their crops are ruined. As they say “get woke, go broke”. MLB moved the All Star game from Atlanta to Denver because they “got woke”. Major disaster. Disney’s revenue was down $636 million in the second quarter shortly after canceling a star actress for comments she made. NBA’s ratings are down 40-45% depending on which network and what time frame you are looking at. CNN has gone broke, Facebook has gone broke, and now the entire US stock market is down 33% because Biden has gone woke. What was the slight in Judges that provoked Samson, his wife was given to a Philistine. That could easily refer to a job or a house. But then they go and burn her and her father with fire. This would be like the police killing an unarmed person. Biden stole the election, Facebook and CNN were involved in suppressing the Hunter Biden story. Jesus is the strong man and He is paying them back.

The Lord is painting a picture for us, so it is important for us to understand. Samson is supposed to be separated unto the Lord. However, he tries to straddle the fence. He wants a Philistine wife, he wants to live according to the flesh, but he wants to appear to be a nazarite by not cutting his hair. He is worshiping the Lord outwardly, but not in truth. This is organized Christianity in the US. But Delilah, the "deep state", shaved his head. The US at the time of LBJ instituted IRS regulations concerning 501 c3, this allowed FreeMasons to get on the board of directors of churches. They pumped money into them building up big televangelist ministries and radio ministries and Christian music ministries. But by doing that they were able to get control, gouged out the eyes of organized Christianity and said not to preach on prophecy or the end times. You can talk about anything but that. Anything deemed "political" was justification to annul the tax exempt status of these churches. The final straw for them was when they took his wife and gave it to his companion. The church tried to get into politics and soon the "religious right" became involved in political activism while organized Christianity was left on the sidelines.

9 Then the Philistines went up, and encamped in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi. 10 And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they said, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us. 11 Then three thousand men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock of Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? What then is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them. 12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves. 13 And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new ropes, and brought him up from the rock. 14 When he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him: and the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon him, and the ropes that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands dropped from off his hands. 15 And he found a fresh jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and smote a thousand men therewith. 16 And Samson said,

With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps,

With the jawbone of an ass have I smitten a thousand men.

A jawbone of an ass? This deplorable Israelite killed them with the jawbone of an ass? What, was he making mean tweets? Why are they calling it “the jawbone of an ass” why not just come out and say Donald Trump? Who delivered Trump up? It was the RINO republicans and the apostate Christians.

Why would the Lord Jesus, the strongman, use the jawbone of an ass, why would He use Trump? It puts them to an open shame that with all their weapons, all the tens of millions they put into these election campaigns with all the attack ads, and all the lies of the very best liars that even so there is going to be a huge red wave. Jesus is having fun.

But we need to consider this, why would Jesus use organized Christians who have taken up the jawbone of an ass? They are blind and they are caught and exposed by their dalliance with Delilah, and they have been humiliated by being shaved, and they are now being mocked daily by the MSM and all the Philistines in their temple to Baal. But it is at this time that the hair signifying their separation grows, it is at this time that they do call out to the Lord, and it is at this time that they fully repent of not being sanctified, fully give themselves to the Lord and bring down this house of cards.

Yes, organized religion is a failure, but they are still the Lord's children and the Lord is still the savior working out salvation to them.

Christians need to vote Biblically. That is what I said that is the point. End of story.

Yep, which is why I cannot give my vote to a man who epitomizes sexual sin, love of money, greed, arrogance, and hating one's neighbor.

They have for 3.5 years.
Okay, then provide a source or citation to support that claim.

Whew, good thing he put the hammer down! Just in time or thousands of illegals would have, hey wait and minute....
Do you pay attention to the news and politics much? If you do, then you already know that President Biden issued his EO closing down the border after Trump had House Republicans kill the immigration reform bill, that would have mandated by law the closure of the border.

IOW Dems and Repubs worked together to craft a bipartisan bill to reform the immigration system, Trump tells the House to kill it (and brags "blame me" for it), they kill it, and then the President takes the alternate path and just closes the border via EO.

So if you have a link or citation to a proposed bill or something like that, let's see it.

Everyone is struggling!! Everyone is paying more!! Local pantries to help people can't keep up!
Do you think more tax cuts for billionaires and mega corporations are the solution to that?

Just stop it. Stop with the Dem propaganda. Obama added more people on the dole than ever. No we don't want more people needing handouts and cradle to grave help. Trump got them J O B S!! Right and they were grateful for it. Most people want the dignity of work not living off the gov't. If it was up to Dems they'd have us all on the dole, living in affordable housing shacks. smh
So you're against providing things like SNAP to poor people? And Trump was the first President since Hoover to leave office with a negative jobs creation record.

Hahahahahah!!! Look around!! We had peace when Trump was in office. No, you can't argue that. rofl!!!
Um, I guess you're unaware that we were at war in Afghanistan the entirety of Trump's term.

Hahahahahah!!! Do you know where the Obama's live??? Bro, did you see how fast they tossed the illegals that got on the same island the Obama's and Oprah and the elite were on??? They left so fast they didn't know they had been there!!! smh You're hilarious!
So your argument is that Trump's sin of love of money is okay because Oprah and Obama are guilty of the same sin?

Just how many sins are you going to excuse and say are no big deal in your support of Trump?

Now you're just being ridiculous. smh No one gives more to charity, no one has more soup kitchens, more food and clothes drives. I'm in the south, the Bible belt and churches are always doing drives. Coats for kids for the winter. People give more to charity when asked to give than forced to give. Floods and tornadoes, common to the south and we are ALWAYS first on scene, churches open to donate. Yeah, that one is just a flat out lie.
Would you like to see examples of Republicans cutting programs to the poor, while giving tax breaks, subsidies, and incentives to the rich?

You can be determined you're right all you want. Voting Bibilically is what a Christian does. If you can vote for a party that wanted God's name stricken, that literally celebrates abortion, murder of the innocents, that champions man hating feminists while also pushing homosexuality and transgenders, and children changing their sex and bodies for life, tearing apart their bodies, you're not a Christian. If you can turn a blind eye to parents being called terrorists because they don't boys in girls bathrooms and showers or having drag queen story hour where they shake their penis in childrens faces, or books on how to arouse your gay lover. If you can turn a blind eye to that, you are not a Christian. If you can watch children here go without food and proper clothes but have no issue with an open border... there is simply no way you can vote Biblically and be a Dem. They have become too radical, too against Christianity, against God. That's just fact.
You're assuming that I'm supporting and voting for Dems, but you're in error.

Again, the point is, by supporting Trump and excusing all his many sins, you are telling everyone that blatant sinning isn't a big deal for you, and because of that you've lost all authority to go around lecturing anyone else about sin. Because all they have to do is point out how willing you are to go along with Trump's sexual immorality, love of money, greed, hate, etc.

You obviously don't like the terms of the deal you made, so maybe take some time and pray about it.

You have inaccurate information on a number of counts. First, the border is not closed. Illegals may be coming at lower rates, but they are still coming. Second, the Biden administration was given a largely closed border, and it was Biden undoing Trump's EO's that caused the invasion in the first place. Third, and this was shared before, the bill passed in the House that would have shut down the border was never considered in the Senate. Instead, they sent back a bill that codified illegal immigration into law. This is why Trump spoke as he did against the Senate bill. He endorsed the House bill.

Also, the fact that Biden could sign an executive order to make it more difficult to cross the border illegally means he could have done so at any time. Why did he do so now? Could it have anything to do with the upcoming election?

First, the border is not closed.
Yes it is.

https://www.borderreport.com/regions/washington-d-c/biden-shuts-down-southern-border/

Second, the Biden administration was given a largely closed border, and it was Biden undoing Trump's EO's that caused the invasion in the first place.
Because the pandemic ended, thereby releasing the US from pandemic related requirements.

[quote[Third, and this was shared before, the bill passed in the House that would have shut down the border was never considered in the Senate. [/quote]
Correct.

Instead, they sent back a bill that codified illegal immigration into law. This is why Trump spoke as he did against the Senate bill. He endorsed the House bill.
No, that's not correct. The Senate immigration reform bill was not based on the House bill. It was a separate effort led by Sen. Lankford (R-OK).

Also, the fact that Biden could sign an executive order to make it more difficult to cross the border illegally means he could have done so at any time. Why did he do so now? Could it have anything to do with the upcoming election?
I already explained that. President Biden was counting on the immigration reform bill to pass so he could sign it and close the border under the criteria it mandated by law. After Trump ordered House Republicans to kill it, President Biden then took a different route and closed the border via EO.

All of this is false. You may well be the only person on the planet who believes the border is closed. Your source is bogus.

Quick poll: who believes the US southern border is closed?
Just quote the post and write open or closed?

If all you have in response is nuh-uh, then I thank you for your time.
Listen to Dan's podcast from today. A sitting Congressman says the same thing I just shared with you. Is he lying?

So you didn't vote for Bill or Hill. Clinton, Obama, Mc Cain, Biden and you can't vote for Harris or Trump. I guess you're sittin' this one out then.

love of money, greed
In 2012 Harris's lawyer husband Emhoff bought (a) 3,500-square-foot house in the posh Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, where celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and LeBron James own multimillion-dollar mansions. Two years later he married Harris. The property has four bedrooms and a pool.

In 2004, when she became San Francisco's first Black attorney general, Harris bought a condo in town for $489,000. Its value has nearly doubled since then, according to a Zillow estimate.

Umm .... voting using Christian principles... yes I see the congruence.

Ok, so since you're not reading a long... Christians don't get out and vote. So now, if you want abortion limits, you have to get off your behind and vote for it. In my state we stopped the abortion mills.

That's certainly an option. Are you comfortable giving your support and vote to an immoral man like Trump?

You seem to have forgotten that I'm an Independent, and am not here supporting Harris.

So if your point was to engage in more apologetics for Trump's sins, then mission accomplished I guess.

So he didn't cite anything. Thanks.
Who cites a live source. I told you where you could hear a sitting Congressman confirming in his own words that the Senate bill that was sent back to the House was a completely different bill than the House bill sent to the Senate. If you continue to put out false information now, it is because you are dishonest. Three other Congressmen were on the same podcast. None discredited his remarks. Four people who have intimate knowledge of both bills confirm what I said to you. Are they lying?
