Even if their anguish is the result of a Matrix of media lies and deception, that anguish is still very real and very very painful. Have some empathy, even if you think they wouldn't if the roles were reversed, and even if you think they hate you. God called us to be different, not to partake in the same nonsense came calling war. Lets be an example.

And when I say be kind, I don't mean try to meet anyone's beliefs half way or even sympathize. But don't be boastful or arrogant, this isn't your favorite sports team. Don't go on social medias and go "haha you losers, suffer". People may say I am naïve or ignorant but I'm of the belief that it would be better if people will be nice to each other, and it starts with us.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" - Matthew 5:34-35

My only regret is that I have but one green check mark to give to this post.

Could that reveal who really loves God, ie 'obedience'. Political hate cartoons & memes literally make me sick and it goes against many Scriptures. One being the 2nd Commandment given by Jesus after love God, is love thy neighbor.
'But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment', Mt 12:36.

This is certainly a good time to learn some things about people you thought you knew. Maybe some things you didn't want to know... Victory can bring out some ugly traits in some people.

While the OP’s comments are wise there is another angle to this.
I’m leaving aside the fact that the left is not graceful in their affairs when it comes to their opponents. I’m leaving that alone completely.

I would like to talk about patience and learning.

Patience is very simple.
Just like the conservatives were very patient with the lefts shenanigans, now it’s the left's turn to be patient for 4 years.

Which brings us to learning and growth.

Why do we fall?
So we can learn how to get up.

Now, will this be a time of introspection from the left to ask some important questions such as:
Why are we so disconnected from the average American?
What can we do to gain their trust?
What mistakes do we have to admit about ourselves?
Are we genuine about the things we say?

Things like that.
But as history shows, none of that will happen and the show must go on.

As Christians we should also be able to know that we should not be emotionally invested in politics too and I know that a lot of people fail here on this simple concept.

Another simple concept is the idea of public service.
This concept is so forgotten now it has become meaningless.
Nobody goes into a position of power to serve and help others. They’d laugh at you in the political inner circles if you come with this attitude and you’d never make it.

They go to gain more power and praise which is why Pride is the most difficult sin to deal with because most of the time you’re not aware of it.
You think that a lot of things are “your right”.

As a Christian you should think as yourself as a guest on this planet who had the privilege to know Jesus Christ here and now.

I think the below verses apply to those whose "anguish is still very real and very very painful".

Proverbs 1:20 - 33
Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

So... Basically, "you made your bed, now sleep in it."

That is logical on the surface, but I sure am glad it was not applied to me when I turned out to be wrong.

I read an article that asserted that although 95% of people self-claim the attribute of self-awareness, only 15% of people actually have it. Always wondering if I've missed my calling (and perhaps I'll start a Christian Psychology thread since this topic never fails to fascinate me). The article touched on an external as well as an internal self-awareness. It is suggested that noting all the aspects of the jobs you've had that you found fulfilling would help in achieving an internal self-awareness, and adopting a "loving critic" (which is set apart from all the other critics which number will never be lacking) will help in achieving a healthy external self-awareness. Included is the claim that most successful professionals are self-aware which suggests the necessity of it to achieve profitability. I started to post a link to it in the "why are women hated" thread but then my thoughts segued to a Stoicism based analysis video titled "why do Alpha women hate Sigma women" and, eventually, I abandoned commenting.

Anyway, there will always be criticism that we'll have to venture to navigate through and (as the former also notes, although it would seem to be easier to make the change internally than it is the change externally, each is hardly easy. And I suppose it isn't easy because it requires healthy portions of critical thinking.

Our opposers aren't going to stop opposing us or change their approach in doing so, even if they have stepped back to assess the situation. They're only looking to see which angle of attack they should take next. I'd like to take David's approach though, head on with five stones and a sling in hand.

Do not gloat when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart rejoice when he stumbles,
or the LORD will see and disapprove, and turn His wrath away from him. Proverbs 24:17-18

I would love to see a topic about self-awareness. :D
It's the whole blue pill vs red pill argument - if we use another analogy from a movie. lol

I viewed the article recent enough that I was able to find it quite quickly in my browsing history. It is a Forbes article from a senior editor written 7 years ago,
Only 15% Of People Are Self-Aware.

Whenever I'm prompted to make a new password, I agonize over the perfect one, and so it always takes me a while, and beginning new threads has a similar, more pronounced effect (requiring more that at least 8 characters). God know when, or even if, I'll ever compose an OP for one, but perhaps being aware of your interest in the topic will provide me sufficient impetus at least not to abandon the idea.

Yes please create one so we don't talk about it here and lose the focus of this thread.
We can also talk about the self-awareness of these so-called "psychologists" like the one on that article who confuses 'self-awareness' with 'adaptation'. :D

That that is the left's idea of tolerance. His demotion should include cleaning toilets.
I dunno... I know some Republicans who are just like those people.

Then again I know some liberals who are pretty nice folks.

Yeah, me too.

But seriously, if freedom loving people could put up for 4 years with Biden and the Communists, and who knows how many years prior of censorship and accusations of being conspiracy theorists, a few useful-idiot tears over Trump's election and facing the truth is getting away with their crimes lightly (in-my-humble-opinion).
