Funny, Jesus seemed to think the Law would be around for a while...

Mat 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Pretty sure not all is fulfilled yet. Case in point is the Second Coming.
Amen! People miss the word "all" and until heaven and earth pass, which heaven and earth are still here and not all the prophecies have been fulfilled like the BIG ONE- Jesus coming in the clouds and His saints meeting Him in the air. He promises no more tears, no more sin and He will forevermore be with His people.

Whether the jot and tittle of the law still exist or not is moot because no believer who has been baptized into Christ's death is under the jot and tittle, ie under the law's authority. Under authority means it can't tell us what to do or condemn us; only Christ can, and Christ says that when we love our neighbor as ourselves we have fulfilled the righteous demands of the law. Welcome to the new covenant

HERE IS WHAT JESUS SAID YOU DO TO BE SAVED;

17 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.
19 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’”
20 “Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.”
21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22 At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.
Jesus addresses the man’s question by explaining the importance of following God's commandments. Jesus is the only way to eternal life Not paul

Christ Lives and is coming back soon, Paul died about 2000 years ago, Why do you follow a dead man, Why not follow Christ the son of the living GOD one with GOD?

It is Jesus who will judge us all not paul. Just remember this.
On a more serious point now.

If I was to quote the following verses to someone.

Matthew 19
16 And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do so that I may obtain eternal life?”
17 And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you
want to enter life, keep the commandments.”
18 Then he said to Him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not commit murder; You shall not
commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not give false testimony;
19 Honor your father and mother; and You shall love your neighbor as yourself
.”

Giving another person the impression that all they had to do to obtain eternal life. Are the
six commandments Jesus quoted above. Please note; the young man said, "which ones", the
young man specifically said which of the commandments matter Jesus.

That is the literal reading of Matthew 19:16-19, with no interpretation.

Is a person saved by obedience to those six commandments because those
are the exact words of Jesus?!

Jesus said to the young man that was all he had to do in Matthew 19:16-19.

"if you want to enter life, keep the commandments", but which ones!

Dismissing what Jesus stated in His own Words will never be a moot point, at least not for those who live by His every Word which we are told to do.

For this is the love of God that we keep His commandments 1 John 5:3. Love never went undefined as if we can each have our own version of love to man and love to God. Best to let God be God and we be His humble servants.

It'a clear you don't believe what Paul wrote and are unable to distinguish the differences between the new and old covenants. Christ didn't leave love undefined. He said it was doing to others as we would want others to do to us. Its clear you don't believe his words either.

I've been born again over 50 years. I have never observed the Sabbath according to the Old Testament. I was saved while I was in the military.
Appreciate your service.

Thanks Be Unto God, we are "under His GRACE," And NOT: "Under The Law!!"

See you In His Great GloryLand!! ♫ 😇 ↑

Love thy neighbor didn't go undefined Rom 13:9 and Christ said a lot more than that, including not a jot or tittle of His law would pass, but you dismissed that because I guess you know better than He. I guess we will all find out soon enough.

Jesus was declaring that it's the spirit behind the commandments that it important, not the letters. The righteousness of all of the law's commandments is accomplished when a person loves their neighbor as themselves. That's not a burden though it takes a lot of inward work. Keeping the letters of the 10 commandments and all of the law was an unbearable burden according to Peter
A perfect reply.

Not what the fourth Commandment says at all...

Exo 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Notice when the Sabbath was given, The seventh day of creation. Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, was still about 2000years in the future

Gen 26:5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws."

Here we find Abraham keeping God's Commandments before Isaac, Israel's father, is born.

What about the NT?

Paul kept the Sabbath and taught on it...

Act 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Act 17:1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews.
Act 17:2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

same custom as Christ...

Luk_4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

Paul taught the gentiles on the Sabbath...
Act_13:42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.
Why didn't Paul just say come on back tomorrow, the first day of the week?

Now is there NT instruction to keep the Sabbath?

Heb 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";

Heb 4:9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

The word for rest here is...
G4520
σαββατισμός
sabbatismos
sab-bat-is-mos'
From a derivative of G4521; a “sabbatism”, that is, (figuratively) the repose of Christianity (as a type of heaven): - rest.

Derived from G4521

G4521
σάββατον
sabbaton
sab'-bat-on
Of Hebrew origin [H7676]; the Sabbath (that is, Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension a se'nnight, that is, the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications: - sabbath (day), week.

Funny how the one Commandment God told us to remember is the one everyone wants to forget.

Oh and if this command was given to Israel, then think about this...

Gal_6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

And who did God make the New Covenant with?

Heb_8:8 Because finding fault with them, He says: "BEHOLD, THE DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH—

Finding fault with them,

Psa 95:10 For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, 'It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.'
Psa 95:11 So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.' "

The problem was not the Law, it was their hard, unconverted heart.
The Gentiles were never given the law by God.

It would be incorrect to say that the Gentiles were under the law.

What was the new covenant?

The jot and tittle of the law were fulfilled at the cross
Jesus gave the law to Moses to demonstrate that we are all fallen, and we are evil creatures.

We not only mistreated Jesus, we assaulted and crucified our very own creator.

The law tells us directly that we are wicked people.

How deceived would someone be when they look at the law and then they believe
that they could obey it???

All the law has ever done is generate self righteous folk and condemned the rest.

The jot and tittle of the law were fulfilled at the cross
Where does it say that at the cross? You added to God's Word- something we are told not to. Pro 30:5-6 Jesus said heaven and earth pass before a jot or tittle of the law would pass until all, not some things are fulfilled, until all is fulfilled. Heaven and earth are still here, therefore so is God's law. Why Jesus went on to say not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments as it affects our status in heaven i.e. Judgement. Nothing about the cross.

Matthew 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one [b]jot or one [c]tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Why we see Gods faithful keeping the commandments of God until Jesus comes back

Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who [a]do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

You have made a serious mistake in your post.

Jesus fulfilled all things that Jesus needed to fulfill.

The prophecy of the return of Jesus could not be fulfilled at that time.

That goes without saying.

Jesus doesn’t need to fulfill His Second Coming? That doesn’t need to be fulfilled???

Perhaps some feel this way, not for me, thats what we are waiting for, for Him to come back and fill all of His promises of no more sin, no more sorrow and for His saints to be with Him forevermore.

Jesus said all, needs to be fulfilled, not just some things and heaven and earth are here therefore so is God’s holy and righteous law.

Like I said its too difficult to reason when someone thinks their words are equal to God's Word. I was hoping you would consider the scriptures, perhaps one day.
All that needed to be fulfilled was fulfilled by Jesus.

Luke 18:31
Now He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem,
and all the things that have been written through the prophets about the Son of Man will
be accomplished
.

John 19:28
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the
Scripture would be fulfilled
, said, “I am thirsty.”

You can add the denial that the Lord fulfilled all the prophecy at His first coming to us. To your
long list of errors.

That’s not what those scriptures say. If you are not waiting for Christ to fulfill His Second Coming, your choice, it’s going to happen regardless, probably sooner than most realize, bringing His reward with Him. Rev 22:14 some to eternal life, some to death. He promises to Create and New Heaven and New Earth, so no not all is fulfilled, lots to go!

Why this says…Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who [a]do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Because God’s faithful keep God’s commandments until He comes back just like He told us to, but not everyone believes His teachings.

Your dead wrong.

Jesus fulfilled all things, therefore, the law has passed.

"one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled"

You completely misunderstand what that verse above is saying.

The law in it's fullest was absolutely fulfilled by it's author!!!

Because the law was fulfilled by Jesus not His return. Because the law was
fulfilled the law, every single jot and tittle has passed.

Tell me what you don't understand?

It says it right there. He didn't come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy [the law or prophets], but to fulfil [the law and prophets]. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:17-18
