They put it there to honor the dead and not to preach to them. Sometimes you need to understand what is meant by what is said, and not simply what is said.
Sometimes you need to know what you're talking about before you speak.

You're wrong. It would be a waste of time to prove it because you wouldn't respect the opportunity to obtain that education you now sorely lack.

One word as to why the Church of Rome and other churches were built on sacred grounds held sacred by pagans.
Primacy.

Mockery. No one who reads you should be surprised .

You are as hate filled as you are ignorant.

The thing about unbeliever Trolls is, they think they can follow POES Law and get away with it.

You can't.

Thats what you came up with? Sad. A very poor treatment and utterly wrong.
And yes, the THREE YEARS it took to build the second Temple is a foreshadowing of the time to build the tribulation Temple.
Yet future.

And YES, God defined the EXACT DAY of the start and end of 70 year captivity.
What is wrong with your reading comprehension man? Did you fail to read the scholarly link I provided?
http://watchmanbiblestudy.com/BibleStudies/HIStoryOurFuture/Ezekiels430Days.html

[2Ki 25:1 KJV]
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth [day] of the month, [that] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.

[Jer 52:4 KJV]
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth [day] of the month, [that] Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.

[Eze 24:1 KJV]
Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth [day] of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
[Eze 24:2 KJV]
Son of man, write thee the name of the day, [even] of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.

[Hag 2:15 KJV]
And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:

[Hag 2:18 KJV]
Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth [month, even] from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider [it].
Again, the royal decree of Cyrus had ZERO to do with either the beginning or completion of the Jewish temple. His decree had to do with freeing the exiles so that they could return to their land. And for your further info, God put it into this pagan king's heart to be merciful to Israel.

And there were multiple sieges of Jerusalem. Ezekiel was, evidently, included in the first deportation wave.

So, your "good teacher" couldn't find for you one passage that says that sinners are worthy of God's salvation, heh? And I find it extremely revealing that you won't answer my question about what you think about your own salvation. (This tells me that you must think you are worthy of eternal life.) But little do you realize that such a prideful disposition of heart puts you on a very slippery spiritual slope; for God saves only the humble (Ps 18:27; 76:7-9; 138:6) and teaches only ).

My pastor made it simple enough.

Because of the Cross?
No one was condemned for their personal sins.
But, we all are born condemned. Why?
Because, Adam's sin that was imputed to all mankind.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."
Romans 5:12

My pastor was a language scholar. He taught us about the meaning of the Greek tense
that was used for ... "for that all have sinned."

It means: At one point in time we all sinned.
That one point in time?
When Adam fell.

For when Adam's body fell, and took on the sin nature? It was passed down to all mankind through procreation.
Adam in sexual reproduction with Eve passed down to all mankind the fallen nature found in the flesh.

Because we are born sinners God would have had to quarantine all mankind in isolation away from God.
But, the Cross stopped the need for that.

On the other hand... Satan REJECTED the Lord and wanted to murder Him and take his place.
And, Satan's angels gave him thumbs up and agreed with him.

The Lake of Fire was created as a judgement for how Lucifer judged the Lord in his heart.

Now, if a man wants to join Satan in rejecting God?
He is no longer denied fellowship simply because of personal sin.
He then, because of siding with Satan?

He is to join Satan and his angels for eternity.

Matthew 25:40-41
And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you,
inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren,
you did it to Me.’
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me,
you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and
his angels:

The Lake of Fire was not prepared for man.

Man, later on, must choose to team up with Satan.
They prefer Satan's way of thinking over sound doctrine,
and reject the Lord.

Nice Day to you....

But we are NOT COMPLETELY DEAD.
Only AFTER being cast into the lake of fire is there TOTAL ETERNAL SEPARATION from God.

Presently we are HALF DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean you would actually know this if you actually understood this parable.
Every person born has the present OPPORTUNITY to seek Gods face and be reconciled.

Luk 10:30
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
I don't believe that "half dead" refers to being spiritually half dead. Rather, I interpret it as symbolizing the partial destruction of his spiritual faith, with the thieves embodying those who rendered to him a false gospel destroying his beliefs. I think we can know this because the subsequent verses make no mention in any sense of the Samaritan returning him to life, but only the healing of his wounds - which symbolically was teaching him the true gospel.
Until we are saved, we are spiritually dead, having entered the womb in that state. So, in being already spiritually dead, the thieves could not make him half again deader than he was nor less dead than he was.

To be thrown into the lake of fire is the second death; with the first spiritual death by Adam.
The concept of being 'somewhat spiritually dead' is not possible - one is either dead or not. Ephesians 2:1 and Colossians 2:13 clearly make no allowances for degrees of spiritual death. The verses do not indicate that God imparted spiritual life partially, but that God granted them spiritual life, period, having forgiven all sins while they were still in that state of spiritual death. Those whom God quickened (made alive), contributed nothing whatsoever to the process—God brought them directly and immediately from death to life, nothing intervening between the two spiritual states besides God's action.

[Eph 2:1 KJV]
1 And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;

[Col 2:13 KJV]
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

[Rev 21:8 KJV]
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

No one can "grasp it", unless they are first given spiritual discernment from salvation.
Belief is a gift that results within someone FROM salvation, it doesn't cause salvation. A spiritually dead person cannot believe.
They must first be made spiritually alive, which is salvation, through which, they believe.
BTW your last sentence contradicts everything you said before it, and your first sentence makes no sense.
Your interpretation of verses Rom 1:18 -22, contradicts the truth of the gospel, which clearly is demonstrated by the verse I included, but which, you either don't understand or choose to ignore.
All apostates feel the same way, and will shower you with misapplied passages like a machine gun.

Just saying Rom 1:18 -22, and nothing else? means nothing in itself.
Romans 1:18
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness
and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

Sloppy and lazy thinking will not lift a finger to explain what the context means.
And, all you gave to justify yourself with? Was an abbreviation and some numbers.

What truth did these men suppress?
By what means did they suppress the Truth, that it says God made them to acknowledge and know?

Your kind are only effective against baby Christians who are just beginning to learn and study the Word of God.
Those who do not know better!

Rogerg - over and out.

You desperately need a new pastor. I suppose he, too, thinks he's worthy of God's great gift of eternal life?

It is God who decreed the two seeds in Gen 3:15 and it is God who decrees all who belong to the Woman's godly seed and all who belong to the Serpent's ungodly seed. And that is precisely what happened in Gen 3:15. God sovereignly reconciled Eve to himself, whereas Adam is very conspicuously M.I.A. in the passage -- meaning Adam either wasn't part of anyone's seed (making him neither godly or ungodly  ) or the passage implies by Adam's omission that God didn't reconcile him to himself which means he was relegated to the Serpent's seed. And that's the way it's always been ever since.

More solid proof for what I just stated is in Romans 9 to wit:

Rom 9:21-24
21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

22 What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath — prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?
NIV

The two seeds in Genesis become two lumps of clay in Romans made from ONE lump[ (signifying no initial inherently spiritual difference between the two lumps until God supernaturally transforms one lump into his New Creation which God uses for noble purposes). Man's great, awesome, mighty and sovereign "free" will is nowhere to be found in this chapter. Ishmael and Esau did not get to choose their spiritual destiny anymore than Issac and Jacob did theirs.

Moreover, your pastor is ignorant of the unilateral, unconditional promises of the New Covenant. No mere mortal decides that he wants to have fellowship with God. It's God's sovereign choice to bring his elect into a personal, covenant relationship with himself. That is his RIGHT -- not man's!

Tell your pastor that if he had a modicum of decency, he'd resign in shame instead of continuing to pervert God's Word. Obviously, your "good teacher" forgot what Jn 3:18 teaches. All fallen mankind are by NATURE objects of God's wrath (Eph 2:3)!

My pastor made it simple enough.

P.S. But I do agree with your pastor that each and every one us, being in Adam's loins, as it were, participated in his sin. This is why Adam's sin is imputed to all his posterity.

He won't give you an honest answer. He's as duplicitous as they come. In his heart of hearts, he probably feels that he's entitled to salvation because he lived up to his part of the salvation arrangement. God is now indebted to him.

 Ishmael and Esau did not get to choose their spiritual destiny anymore than Issac and Jacob did theirs.
God gave them time to discover what their choices would be.
Choices that God in His omniscience already knew before they were born.

God knowing how one would choose, is not to be equated with God making them make that decision.

You're so limited. (God always knew I would say that about you).
