By the way....

Repentance means?
Having a change of mind.
Hence? ................."Volition."
And Jesus as Saviour gives repentance with forgiveness of sins Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

So the repentance He gives has a new mind and volition, new heart, new life

In other words just like you and several others here.... And you can boastful to that list as well.
Oh my, your angry hyper-condemnation-ism is on display yet again. An enduring pattern.

Like father like son?

Repentance to whom?

Israel!

For, Pharisaical legalism had saturated the thinking of Israel who had been pursuing salvation by works.
They needed to REPENT and believe in Jesus for salvation!

God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that
he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.

Acts 5:31

Yes dead to God, alienated, didn't you read ? Now understand, this is dead to the True God, not gods of their own making.
Mexicans are alienated from the USA....

But, many of them sure want to move here!

What part of the metaphor "dead" can't you understand? Don't you know that the unregenerate who are darkness themselves LOVE that darkness because their deeds are evil!?
My question to you is:

Why are you not going out into the world and accurately preaching YOUR form of the gospel.
The one that you supposedly believe and espouse endlessly on this board?

You know:
-pre-birth condemnation for all
-no free will whatsoever for anybody
-salvation is predicated SOLELY upon a cosmic lottery that only God controls
-all marriages to the Bridegroom are shotgun weddings
-all covenants are forged in bad faith and meant to fail
-repentance and a change of heart can NEVER happen legitimately

So when you get off this message board, are you preaching a false gospel out there that you despise?
Are you faking it? And then when you DO draw disciples into the Calvinite web, do you then drop the
Calvinite doctrinal hammer on them after they get hooked?

But what is worse, are you trying to convince others to do the same?

That is what Romans 8:28 is also saying in the Greek...

"And we (have come to know) know that all things work together for good
to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"

It takes enduring and maturing to be able to see Romans 8:28 as matter of fact.
............
The "we" in the above passage is speaking of the saints. Romans wasn't written to the world.

All red herrings!

However, once you can provide proof to me that the physically dead still have intrinsic powers to act, that would go a long way in convincing me that the spiritually dead do also.

You always have jokes about sacred matters friend.
That's okay. God sits on his throne and laughs at the mockers and scorners because on the last day, He will have the last laugh -- and every single knee of God's moral agents in the universe will still bend their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father.

I don't answer red herrings.

But get busy and dig up proof that the physically dead still have powers to think, speak and act. You obviously have no answer for this sticky problem.

Don't feel that way, simply because I take time to try to reason with you...
I hope others will benefit for what you comments prompt me to write..

What's the matter: You don't like the way your shoes fit that you walk in, so your only recourse is to project your failings unto me? Besides, I KNOW I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, so that makes His Father mine also!

I perceive you've been estranged from from rational thought since birth, so quit pretending you have reasoning powers.

Unlike the Jews, Gentiles had their own ways to find salvation that they needed to repent of.

Even what I said, God is working together for the good.
