Let's watch how those who say God never changes his laws try to squirm out of this

For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten. Leviticus 11:45-47
What goes into the mouth doesn't defile a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Matthew 15:11
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is profane or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God has cleansed, do not call profane. Acts 10:14-15

That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9) is not hard to understand. It's just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to believe in/trust in Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation. (1 Corinthians 1:18-21) Their hands are full of their works and they will not let go in order to receive Jesus Christ through faith.
What is tragic is that anti-Sabbath proponents think taking rest in God's peace and in his service one day a week is work!

I am suprised someone who claims to know so much about the law. does not know very much at all.

the levitical priesthood had to die. because it could not save. The blood of bulls and goats could never take away sin.

It had nothing to do with it being from the trib of Levi.
Then please show me in the law where the priesthood could come from any other tribe but Levi.

This is what Heb 7 is addressing. Yes blood of goats and bulls could not take away sin as addressed in Hebrews 9 and 10 but Hebrews 7 is addressing the law of the priesthood.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. 13 For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar.

14 For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

HB 7 compares the Levitical priesthood with the superior high priesthood of Jesus, and the Sabbath law was part of the Levitical laws that have been abrogated--or if you do not like my term, then do you prefer the HB synonym--made "obsolete"?

Christians view Hebrews as part of the NT apostolic canon inspired by the Lord, but obviously you do not. (You can lead a horse to water...)
No, the Sabbath was never part of the book of the law. That was placed outside the ark.

Lev 24:24 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you

The Ten Commandments was not written by Moses, it was not written in a book, it was not placed outside the ark.

The Ten Commandments was spoken by God Exo 20:1 was written by the finger of God Exo 31:18 on stone for its eternal nature placed inside the ark of the covenant and God identified this unit of Ten Deut 4:13 that He grouped by design as My commandments Exo 20:6. There is no greater Authority than God.

So once again, where did God abrogate His commandment? If you could please provide a verse. It would be just as clear as He wrote and He spoke if He was going to make a change.

I do not have to. Because that is not what the author of Hebrews was discussing.

He was discussing how the priesthood was not capable of saving the people.

This is what Heb 7 is addressing. Yes blood of goats and bulls could not take away sin as addressed in Hebrews 9 and 10 but Hebrews 7 is addressing the law of the priesthood.
No it is not.

The levitical priesthood sacrificed animals so that the sins of the jews could be forgiven, On the day of atonement, they would basically with that sacrifice give everyone in israel a clean slate, forgiving ALL of the sins from the previous year..

But it was just a symbol of what Jesus would do.. Because those sacrifices could never take away sin.

Yes. Jesus had a better priesthood.. Because through spilling his own blood, he fulfilled the levitcal priesthood, and could now be a priest after the order of mechisedech.

I mean, it is obvious from what you are saying, you do not even believe in eternal forgiveness based on the blood of christ.

So again, I am amazed, that someone who is said to know the law. does not really know it at all.

I am reminded of this passage

1 timothy 1:
5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from [b]sincere faith, 6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.

8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, 9 knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is [c]contrary to sound doctrine, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.

We were talking about animal sacrifices.

People try to apply Hebrews to something new, when its mainly referring to OT. Its referring to David quoting why the Israelites didn't enter into their rest into Canaan and Joshua who led the Israelites into their rest and nothing about changing God's Sabbath, but its actually reenforcing Sabbath-keeping working in harmony with what Jesus taught, not a jot or tittle can pass from His law, breaking the least of these commandments one is least in heaven, why the Sabbath-rest or keeping of the Sabbath the literal interpretation, remains for the people of God.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here[b] are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Posting that from Hebrews won't persuade the Anti-Sabbath priponents.
It was posted to reiterate the correlation, the harmony, that sustains the keeping of Sabbath by those in Christ today.

Here's the thing. Salvation is a free irrevocable gift of God. As is faith.

Sabbath is a free gift made for man from God.
Those that condemn that while lying about it when confronted, don't really have respect for God or his gifts.

They think Sabbath is void now yet they cannot ever find a verse from Jesus that states that is true.

They insist we think keeping the Sabbath is thought by those who do to be a means to Salvation. And not keeping Sabbath strips out Salvation. That's what is argued by more than one here in their own meme way.

And what that tells the actual Christian is,that one and those like her/him don't know what Irrevocable Salvation is either.

The priority of those who peddle darkness here is to attack Christ and Jesus followers.

You don't steal the artwork and graphics of others, make single frame collages with that pilfered art,add scripture to it and claim to serve The Way after violating the command , thou shalt not steal.

You don't condemn those who keep the Sabbath, recognize the moral rules of God including loving and worshipping God alone, and claim holding to that righteous standard is vacated and then expect anyone to believe that contrarian is in Christ.

We are at war here with the forces of the enemy. Which is why they corrupt the scriptures as they claim to defend them and know what they're talking about.

Even Satan can quote scripture . And those ones prove the truth of that .

Actual born again Jesus followers here pray attention.

God said his laws are written in our hearts. God said, because he was Christ Yeshua/Jesus, The Word made flesh, if we love him we will keep his commandments. Those written in your hearts.

When you read ANYONE here who tells you the commandments no longer exist or pertain to your walk with Christ and the day of rest he made for you, that day Jesus observed, and his Apostles after him, is nullified, when Jesus who observed the Sabbath never said that, ignore them.

Why?
Because the Devil has been a liar from the beginning. And he hasn't told the truth since. Satan has Disciples too.

When ANYONE turns against God's word, telling you the moral laws don't apply to you today, that God retracted his Sabbath gift because you are Christian, when Jesus never called us that by the way, there they are!

Pray for them.
Don't ever be persuaded to believe them.

Matthew 15:11, where Jesus teaches that “Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man,” and Peter’s vision in Acts 10 are often discussed together due to their implications regarding purity laws. Both passages address broader themes within God’s redemptive plan. To understand these passages fully, we must know their contexts and interconnected meanings.

In Matthew 15:11, Jesus responds to the Pharisees, who criticized His disciples for eating without performing ceremonial handwashing, a tradition not commanded in the Law. Jesus refutes their legalistic mindset, explaining that defilement comes not from external things like not washing hands before eating food but from within the heart. He teaches that evil thoughts, words, and actions originating from the heart, are what truly defile a person (Matthew 15:18-20). While this statement challenges the Pharisaic focus on ritual purity, it does not abolish the dietary laws given in Leviticus. Instead, Jesus reorients the conversation to emphasize the moral and spiritual priorities of God’s law, preparing His followers for a deeper understanding of holiness.

This teaching aligns with the broader biblical principle that God values the heart’s condition over external observances. The dietary laws of Leviticus served as part of the covenant to set Israel apart as holy, distinguishing clean from unclean foods and symbolizing separation from sin and the world. However, these laws were also meant to point to a deeper spiritual truth: holiness is ultimately about one’s relationship with God, not merely outward compliance.

Acts 10 builds on this foundation, addresses breaking down of barriers between Jews and Gentiles. In this passage, Peter receives a vision in which a sheet filled with clean and unclean animals descends from heaven. A voice tells him to “rise, kill, and eat.” Peter, adhering to Jewish dietary laws, refuses, but the voice responds, “What God has cleansed you must not call common” (Acts 10:15). This vision occurs three times and is followed by the arrival of messengers from Cornelius, a Gentile centurion. When Peter meets Cornelius, he interprets the vision, saying, “God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean” (Acts 10:28). The vision prepares Peter to accept Gentiles into the faith, demonstrating that God’s salvation is for all people, not just the Jews. The primary meaning of Peter’s vision is clear: it is a declaration that there is no longer any distinction between Jews and Gentiles in God’s kingdom. Through Christ, all are made clean and equal before God. Symbolism was used but is does nor mean these dietary laws are abolished.

Both Matthew 15:11 and Acts 10 challenge the traditional understanding of defilement, redirecting attention from external rituals to the heart’s condition and the inclusive nature of God’s salvation. Together, these passages reveal a consistent message: God’s kingdom is about inner transformation, unity, and the fulfillment of the Law through Christ.

It was prophesied by David

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Psalms 110:4
The law, prophets and psalms are called the law. For example

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? John 10:34
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. Psalms 82:6

No. We think you're taking the easy road keeping only 1 day holy.
We?

You are foolish.

Actual Christians know we are indwelt by Christ.

Every day is a sacred opportunity in service to God's will.

What anti-Sabbath proponents like yourself don't realize is .....everything having to do with being in Christ and living with Christ in us.

You have no idea what Sabbath rest is when that indwelling is our reality.

And neither I nor any sister or brother here will ever be able to teach it to you. When the word of The Word is mocked, ridiculed, derided, condemned, corrupted with theft evidence surrounding it, those sins thinking to argue their point of view while trashing the truth of God in Christ by denying it means what it says, fail.

You will always be wrong.

Quoted for posterity.

Just so I get your list right, those who believe grace in Christ is greater than the 10 Commandments given to the Jews at Sinai...

1. Are Liars
2. Do not respect God
3. Peddle darkness
4. Are forces of the Enemy
5. Lying like the Devil
6. A disciples of Satan

Did I miss anything?

7. Foolish
8. Not actual Christians
9. Unteachable
10. Mockers of God

I guess changing the subject on the priesthood. Very well.

The Ten Commandments went from tables of stone to tablets of the heart, right where sin begins, in our heart.

2 Cor 3:3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

That said yes, the wages of sin is death and still that way in the NT Rom 6:23 the law is not the issue as Paul says it is holy, just and righteous Rom 7:12 the issue is the flesh is weak. Its the reason why Jesus came to save us from our sins. Through Him He can change our heart and we can obey His commandments through our love, faith and cooperation, but He is the one doing now. John 14:15-18 why the New Covenant is established on better promises Heb 8:6 He is the one writing His law in our hearts enabling us to keep them, but not a good idea to be hostile to what God placed there Rom 8:7-8

What is tragic is that anti-Sabbath proponents think taking rest in God's peace and in his service one day a week is work!
Those who turn keeping the weekly sabbath day into a legalistic prescription for salvation have turned it into a work for salvation.

What's tragic is how pro-law sabbath worshippers promote "salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works." (Galatians 1:6-9)

I find my "sabbatismos" rest (Hebrews 4:9) in Jesus Christ 7 days a week in contrast to keeping the weekly sabbath day under the law. (Exodus 31:12-17; 35:1-3; Deuteronomy 5:15)
