Jesus brings division.

A time is coming when division will increase because of Jesus. Anyone who speaks of him will be hated. And fathers and mothers, and daughters and sons will all be divided because of Jesus.

Anyone who loves either father or mother or son or daughter or any family more than him is not worthy to enter his kingdom. Anyone who loves the cares of this life, or houses, or lands, or countries, or riches, more than Jesus is not worthy to enter.

Division is coming between those who serve Jesus and those who are of the devil. Now is the time to pray. Now is the time to pray. With much longsuffering and hope. Jesus is bringing division.

Everyone will have to choose sides. Which side will you choose?

May Jesus bless you.

Well at one time in my life I thought like this also. So I left my home, my family, my job, my friends my entire life to go and Follow Jesus (our my perception of Jesus) I know God must of used me for something important. I really don't understand what has happened to me. God reveals himself more and more to me through other people. So i guess my warning is becareful because sometimes who you think Jesus is, might not be Him at all. I don't mean to frighten or enlighten you. Just to take heed. Sometimes the conscious and subconscious do not agree. Now what does this mean I have no earthy idea.
<sings> Just a closer walk with thee, Grant me peace Jesus i plee.

:):):)

The important thing is that ''JESUS'' brings it, and not us. I have been through that also. Then the Lord taught me that everything that is done for his name's sake is done BY HIM, and not by me. So this made me empty. This made me useless. It put thing in proper order.

I will tell you a time when I saw Jesus bring division.

There was a lady who always was contrary to Jesus. She would come in and just cause a bunch of mess. I was not so patient then, but one thing I knew is that if anyone is offended, it should not be by me. Now, there was one day she came in, and said something, and I was reminded of what Jesus said, and I said it. RIGHT THEN, a WAVE, like a FLOOD of evil came into the room. She got angry at me, and started to speak violently with me, and then others started to speak evil about each other, and tension rose, and everyone was acting completely strange, not like the people I heard them to be. It was so strong I thought someone had just hijacked the place and taken over the people's accounts. Yes, it was on this site about a year ago.

And all of a sudden the people went back to normal. It was like a temporary coup. I got afraid, because I had seen something that really pressed me. I was reminded of Judas, how Satan entered him, and then his own will was not his own.

I realize even now, that this is the same way people get demon possessed. Anyone who does not know Jesus is subject to being possessed by evil Spirits. Jesus and his blood have to be there to protect one from this. Satan cannot enter where the Holy Spirit dwells, there can be no fellowship there. One will have to leave.

So it is the WORD that causes division, not us. May Jesus bless you.

Jesus warned his disciples of this many times during his ministry. Probably the most poignant warning came in the gospel of Matthew, “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 26:9-14)

When you see the all-out secular attack on Christianity which is occurring in the modern world, it is not hard to put Christ's words into perspective. The gospel is, indeed, a divisive force. But then, it always was. Just remember how most of the original Twelve met their deaths.

The saddest thing is that much of the hatred will come from church people. Idle church people who have nothing to do with Jesus at all.

The same ones that turn away from the faith are those who are turning right now, and because of iniquity are becoming involved in hatred. And will deliver those who truly know the Lord up to councils and governments. They will do this in the name of Jesus also. And because good is hated, and evil is praised, many will agree with them, that they are doing the right thing.

The deception has begun already, and the end is near already. And wickedness is increasing already. What was manifested in the days of Jesus, in the hearts of those who would see him hung, was what went through generations of rebellion. This is the last generation. After this generation, the judgement comes.

For now, I pray for mercy. The Lord is true.

May Jesus bless you.

Very interesting reply, and it is true. Now we can learn something more here. Let's look at the division.

Now, you and I know there are 2 sides. The side of Jesus, and the side of Satan. There is no middle ground, as anyone who chooses to seek mediocrity is choosing the side of Satan.

So, either one is FULLY following Jesus, or he is following Satan. The division comes from within the heart of a man. The Word of God brings this division. Why? Because the division was already in the the man, but his word just brought it out into the light. This is what was written in John 3: 17...

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 ¶He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 3

About 5 years ago I had a women who had claimed to be a christian most of her life, come to me crying. I shared a verse with her.
She said nothing and walked away.

Some one else came up to me and asked what I said to her that offended her so badly.( She was realy mad.)

I had quoted Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

She had told them I was trying push my own religion on her. When I quoted the verse to the second person, they looked at me with a blank look.

I said it's in the bible go look it up. One thing I learned was just because you see some one at church every week, does not mean they recognize
God's word.

I have learned to pray before I share with people, because satan sometimes has people confused, they can't hea ror recognize the truth.

May God keep they eyes of our hearts open and help us be spiritually filled every day! In Jesus mighty name I pray! Amen

I didn't think anybody was worthy to enter. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, everyone has at one point in their life put other things before Jesus. I'm not trusting in my worthiness though. I'm trusting in the price paid for my sins on the cross. Through repentance and faith in Jesus I will be found worthy, but still not because of what I've done but because of the righteousness of Jesus imparted to me. Thank God I don't have to earn my way because I can never live up to a perfect standard.

Jesus said if YOU dont deny self, pick up your cross and follow him, then YOU are not WORTHY.

ARE you worthy? Jesus said what woudl make you worthy of salvation. IF you died in HIS death. HAVE YOU? Dont go buy what MAN teaches, ASK the SPIRIT to teach you, adn ask GOD if you have done what JESUS comanded. it is JESUS words we will be judged by on in the LAST day, it is obeying HIS words that build our house on ROCK, HE is the rock.

So REPENTANCE is not a one tiem thing, but a DAILY lifestyle. Deny self, measn TURN fro mself. REPENT means a 180 degre TURN from what you WERE doing.

Salvatio ndoesnt coem in a prayer, its a lifestyle, its HIS life beign lived out through us, IF we abide in him ,and obey him, in faith, takign his word that obeyign HIM is possible.

It has nothing to do with earning salvation...its a GIFT, but that gift has ONE condition, you CANT receive the GIFT of Gods son, while somone(you) is sitting on HIS throne. HE wants to reign in HIS temple, so YOU msut get off of his throne. WE no longer run our life, HE does. IF we submit. We MUST deny US adn submit to HIS ruling...DAILY. THEN adn ONLY then are we worthy. we BETTER be worthy, other wise we have NO inheretence. May Jesus bless you continuously.

wow.... really?

when and why did people stop reading their Bibles for themselves?

it shocks me to find out how many people think it is odd if you actually read the whole Bible, when I always thought it odd to call yourself Christian and NOT read or listened on audio the whole Bible.

why wouldn't anyone want to HEAR ALL of what GOD has to say?

How can you say...let me put you on hold God I have something more important to do with my life and time then read Your WHOLE letter to me?

it just baffles me.

I can understand a few exceptions but for the attitude to be that YOU are an exception if you have read the whole Bible makes me feel like people have it backwards. People should think it is odd that they have NOT read the whole Bible at least once. I would think they should do it once a year and sections daily. If the WORD of God is our DAILY Bread, should we eat, read and Pray daily?

That is one of my favorite verses by the way. it reminds us the power of PRAYER and our dependence upon God and His grace and His power to lead and guide us to do the Good works He made and saved us for. that no matter the situation God is there for us all we have to do is pray and thank God for hearing and answering to the good of His children.

Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

By saying that I'm not trusting in my own worthiness, I didn't mean that I'm still living the same sinful life that I did before I was born again. Obviously there was an initial repentance, and each and every day I am choosing to turn from sin (some days better than others) I try to live a life worthy of the gospel. But, I still say that I and everybody else are not worthy of salvation, but God chose to give it anyway while we were yet sinners.
I find it funny when people say don't go by what man teaches...are you not trying to teach me something in your response? So should I just dismiss it because you are a man (woman?) trying to teach me something? I certainly don't go by what man teaches if it doesn't line up with the word of God, but I can appreciate a man who has spent his life studying God's word to be able to teach me things that I don't understand yet. Where would the church be if there weren't men teaching from God's Word?
