I agree to an extent, but that doesn't mean that Media is inherently bad. There's good positive stuff on there. You just have to look for it
The dilemma is that everyone has individually arrived at different places that align with varying beliefs and trustworthiness based upon varying outlets that have formulated their respective comfort zones…
By definition of irregular and information warfare there is so much uncertainty based upon so much disinformation and misinformation it is impossible for anyone to accurately discern even if their most trusted sources are being genuinely honest, or if they are knowingly or unknowingly pushing disinformation or misinformation based upon the intent of the Good vs Evil strategic puppet string pullers who are still fighting for control of the public narrative…

Yes, but I have a tendency to trust people with actual credentials over some random cuckoo on YouTube

Yes, thieves have learned if they are wearing a uniform they are much more likely to get people to comply with them. They have done a variety of experiments that prove people are much easier to manipulate if you make it appear they are "certified experts".

Imagine you're on a plane in some random guy stands up and says hey listen everyone. I watched a couple YouTube videos and I think I know better how to land the plane than the pilots
You would tell him to sit down and shut the fudge up
I'm going to trust the guys who were trained to fly the plane

Fair; but being trained on how to fly =/= knowing how to land. And if there's terrorists in the cockpit, I'll trust the guy that jumps up, regardless of what his chances of landing the plane successfully are.

And yet we have Nobel Prize laureates who have told us how to run economies who have led us into trillions of dollars of debt when any kindergartener can tell you that you stop buying candy when your piggy bank is empty.

Only an idiot will book a flight on an airplane while not trusting in the pilot of that airplane. That is an absurd analogy.

On the contrary use an analogy where I am still deciding what to buy.

For example, I was shopping for a car, I knew that Cadillac was a good car so I went to the showroom, tried out the car. Then I began shopping looking for a comparable car at a better price. I looked at a number of Youtube videos where guys were comparing that car to others. I looked at ratings on things I considered important. A comfortable seat was high on my list as was a car that was mainly built in the US.

I did not trust any one person. In the end I got a car I have been very happy with for over 7 years that was 20k cheaper than the Cadillac and yet performed remarkably well compared to the Caddy.

No one made the decision for me, and I definitely did not trust the decision to a salesman.

Now let's use more relevant examples. Suppose the NY Times had to print a correction on a story. That is not a problem to me, they write a lot of stories with tight deadlines, I can understand making a mistake.

Now suppose instead the mistake is that the source they told me was a high level source in the Trump administration and because of that they were going to keep him anonymous but we can trust the NY Times they know who this is and he is a very high level source in the Trump administration. They write a number of exposes on the inner workings of Trump's administration using this deep throat source while keeping his identity anonymous. Ultimately we discover the NY Times lied, this was not a high level source, it was some guy working in a cubicle across town. That is it, once I know they intentionally lied to manipulate me pushing their own political agenda, then I cross them off the list. Yes, they are still a paper of record so I pay attention to what they write, but I no longer trust them. They are liars.

The same is true of the 20 experts who told us the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation despite having no evidence at all to support that claim. Liars.

The same is true of the people who said Hillary was going to win by 12 points in 2016. Liars.

The same is true of the people who told us that there was no evidence that Covid came from the Wuhan lab and instead it came from a bat cave and a pangolin. Liars.

The same is true of those who said that Biden was mentally competent. Liars.

If someone says they aren't sure, or makes it very clear they are simply giving their best estimation without having seen any evidence, that is one thing. But if they give me their full assurance as experts that something is true only for me to learn later they had no evidence at all that it was true. That is it, I cross them off my list of people I trust.

Sometimes you don't need to know a person is a liar in order to not trust them.

If someone says I am deplorable garbage and a domestic terrorist I don't need to know anymore than that to realize this person does not have my best interests at heart and I would be a fool to trust them.

Do you qualify elected Politicians as qualified credentials?
Do you qualify card carrying journalists on MSM over citizen journalists on alternative platforms who provide alternative and compelling evidence that the MSM isn’t telling us about because it’s not aligned with the narrative of their DS Soros funded talking points?

Do you qualify the credentials of other Christian Patriot Truthers as myself who have the street cred, professional experience and understanding in this type of irregular whole of government information warfare with a masters degree in data science and operations research and analysis… 🧐
I was in the Pentagon during the Obama HRC administration and have a hyper sensitive awareness of the DS agenda within our governmental beltway battles…
I started waking up to the DS shenanigans during the Obama administration and I was fully awakened when HRC put the stink of her lying arse finger prints all over the Benghazi cover up…
