aaaand we're back. Right where we left off about 8 years ago.
The spirit is high, the memes are strong, the positive energy is flowing and the optimism is high for the New Year.
Canada is gonna be the 51st state, Greenland is gonna be the 52nd state and Panama canal might be a US territory.

@Magenta what does your media say up there about these new events about Trump annexing Canada? :giggle:

How is the mood, humor and reaction among your media personalities, comedians and the average citizen in Canada?

Other good news today include the status of the bald eagle as the official US symbol.

Hey @SonJudgment, look this guy is picking on your girl AOC.

1735248471355.png
He says:

'I admire AOC for her marketing prowess,' O'Leary said. 'But she's one of the worst managers I've ever seen.'
'If I lived in her jurisdiction, which to me is one of the worst managed in the country, I would fire her and hire somebody way better,' he added.
The wealthy investor criticized Ocasio-Cortez's rejection of Amazon's second headquarters in New York.

'She destroyed the opportunities of 10,000 people when she rejected the Amazon facility there a long time ago - I've never forgiven her for that,' he said.

'But I admire her ability to just get in front of her phone, post on social media, raise $10-15 dollars at a time by saying outrageous things over and over again.'

He challenged viewers who live in her jurisdiction to 'ask what she's done for you lately except post this stuff for social media.'

In other news it looks like some Canadians are "begging" to become the 51st state.
I hope they know that they will lose their universal healthcare but the important thing is that Season 13 is starting strong and with a lot of material.

Lol hey he's not wrong. This is the problem of the half-hearted repenting, if you're gonna do it you gotta go all the way otherwise you just get slammed down from your own side to try to keep you in line and you don't get any of the trust from the good guys either because they see that you're lukewarm. So it is my boy John Fetterman begins to eclipse AOC in interest for actually reforming the democrats and looking like leadership potential.

Conservatives like to pretend she's stupid because it makes them feel smarter

@SonJudgment , you're right about your boi Fetterman.
I think he's one of those who listens and doesn't say a lot and is willing to learn.
I appreciate that trait.
God bless him.

Good morning, Eli :) I thought you might be interested to know the opinion my brother expressed last night as I was on the phone with him last night for almost two hours speaking of all manner of things... he said that Americans would never go for adding Canada as the 51st state because it would be the last time EVER a Republican government would get voted in due to our progressive ways. Although really when you think about it, our population is not all that large. Thirty years of illegal immigrants equals us...

Totally agree.
The fact that people have universal healthcare like most civilized and advanced nations, would trigger many conservatives in USA to have a meltdown and despite all the jokes and memes that are flying around, i don't think most of Canadians who are in good mind would ever want to become the 51st state. Of course there are minorities on every group who think all kinds of things but let's keep this show rolling and have some refreshments. :D

Thankfully we haven't been hit with a lot of snow here on the East side of the continent and it's been mainly rainy and cloudy.
I'm thankful for that because i'm too old to clean snow now despite having a snowblower.

Yes, rain here also, and on Christmas day as well. I saw my daughter then for the first time in a while as she has been completely preoccupied the last few months with selling the family home and moving into a new one with her aunt, who could not do much to help with the move, so digging out from under 60+ years of accumulated possessions was done mostly by my daughter even though 99.44% of it all was not hers LOL. And their new home is gorgeous! Seeing her and meeting their new house was my Christmas present :D

That's wonderful to hear and God bless her.
My wife and I have a rule about 'junk' in the house. If you don't use it at least once during 1 year than throw it away.
It means that you don't even know that it exists and it's in the house. lol
I remember doing a project during covid when we were all stuck at home, of digitizing every old thing in the house that i had accumulated such as VHS tape, cassette tapes, physical photographs and CDs.
They're all digital now, a project which took me 3 years. All the old stuff is thrown away except physical photos.
This way it's easier to see too. Like if i want to see old black and white pictures of my grandfather when the whole family went to the beach, i just just pull them up in one second on the phone as opposed to going into weird areas of the house such as the basement, then pull out some shelves and then take out the photos. :D
