Only in the Church has the Holy Spirit ceased that temporary operation from God.

Paul said they ceased, along with knowledge when he sees Jesus face to face.
Paul never saw Jesus face to face until he is resurrected.
That is my take on it. We are fools in we think tongues have ceased. We are discerning if we believe biblical tongues have ceased.

If you can't discern who the Perfect to Come is by knowing you will see Him Face to Face then your post reveals levels of ignorance.

The perfect is in the neuter gender. It is not in reference to Christ Himself,
So what is it?
When Paul wrote those words?
Were the Scriptures completed?

"Complete" could be analogous to "perfect" in the thinking of that day.
It is so easy to be deceived if one runs with his emotions and excitement.

Jesus must expose their hearts now. For it would spell disaster in the Resurrection if he promoted such souls to positions of authority over others.
Glory and power he will grant to those who are now faithful to His plan for their lives.
The power to do genuine good, and the glory of seeing the joy and happiness it will produce
in the lives of those under your guardianship before God.
