I recently downloaded the Brave Browser per a suggestion from a nice member on here. :)
I am trying to transfer the bookmarks from Chrome to the Brave Browser. I have a couple of questions for you smart folks!

1. Well the bookmarks aren't moving, after I follow the directions.
2. Will they also stay in Chrome once I get them moved?

Has anyone had this issue?

Thank you in advance!

How many bookmarks are we talking about here?

Would it be feasible to just go to the bookmarked page in one browser, copy the link, paste it in the replacement browser, save it as a bookmark and repeat until all bookmarks are replicated in the new browser?

I have, like, 16 bookmarks I care about. This forum, gog.com and the rest are my favorite comic strips. But I know some people with hundreds of bookmarks (that even they admit they will probably never get around to.)

My phone says:

To transfer bookmarks from Chrome to Brave browser, open Brave, go to the bookmarks menu, select "Import bookmarks and settings", and choose Chrome from the list of browsers to import from; this will allow you to transfer your Chrome bookmarks to Brave.

Is this the instructions you already followed and they didn't work?

Yes I did that already and they did not transfer. That was the 1st thing I did. :)

I remember this one. During the great Chrome update debacle that disabled, among other things, reactions on this forum for anybody using Chrome, Microsoft edge, Opera or any other chrome-based browser, somebody suggested switching to brave browser.

I guess if you don't like Firefox and Chrome is acting up at the moment, brave is a viable alternative.

To be able to use memes or whatever they are called.

I did not switch yet, it's just downloaded. I might not bother (ha-ha)

To use the forum reactions you mean?
Like a laugh, or a disagree or an agree reaction?

Yes that's what I meant.

My brain, where did it go?

Don't know if you got this resolved, but if it were me, I'd export your Chrome bookmarks as an .html file. You can do that from the Chrome bookmark manager. Then import that same file in Brave. Don't know if that'll work for you, but that's what I always do.

@Eli1 ...I still get Bad Request even though I have updated Chrome...I am using Firefox but it is so slow...
I haven't looked into this specific error in detail because i simply close the browser and i open it again, and the page works correctly again.
Interesting that it's happening with Firefox for you.
Are you using a VPN?

One possible reason for this happening is the existence of too many cookies and a large history database of the browser.
I will delete all cookies and history in one of my laptops and see if this is true.

I have deleted all the cache, history and cookies in Edge and will see if this happens again.

@Eli1 ...Thank you kindly for replying...My Chrome does not move from saying " Bad request " even though I have tried to open it up after update , nor when I refresh , or reboot my laptop...Fire fox I can get on to the site ( here ) but when I scroll down the page , it is so so slow , very frustrating :(...I am grateful I can get back on with Fire fox , but nothing is back to normal on Chrome...

Oh wow. So let me understand this correctly if you don't mind.
You're saying that you get the "bad request" error ( i wish i saved a screenshot so we can confirm we're talking about the same thing), then you reboot your laptop, launch Chrome again, and then you still get the 'bad request' error?
