The Department of Education is the single biggest reason the US spends more money per child on education and on a dollar for dollar basis gets the worst return of any country on Earth. Countries with dirt floors, chalkboards and one room school houses are competing with our inner city schools. And yet if you go to the wealthy suburbs their schools are competing with the top ten countries in the world. This is no accident, it is by design. Anyone who would support the department of Education either is ignorant of the damage they do or else they hate the US and want to destroy it.

The US and Croatia have almost identical scores on the PISA, an international test of Math.

They also have an english test which we do better on, but for most countries English is their second language, hardly a fair assessment.

The US spends on average over $15,000 per public school student in the US and Croatia spends $8,000. That is a horrible return on investment. Our tax dollars are being wasted.
