Speaking about prophecy... darn those newspaper eschatologists!

:D

View attachment 276469
The term "newspaper eschatology" makes no sense. Eschatology is the study of Biblical prophecies concerning the end times. There is no "newspaper eschatology". What this is talking about is "fear porn" which newspapers do and which ironically Jesus prophesied would be one of the signs of the end of the age. The sign is not simply "world wars" but also "rumors of war" which is what the Newspapers do. They are rumor mills. A place for the government and intelligence agencies to practice their ability to manipulate the masses. This grew exponentially with radio, grew even more with TV, and has continued its exponential growth with Social media and news services like X and Tik Tok.

If newspapers really were involved in eschatology they would have reported that the pandemic was a fulfillment of a prophecy in Joel indicating that the day of the Lord was at hand. They would have also pointed out that the first thing the Lord warned us about concerning the end of the age is false prophets. You might think that refers to Manson who might have influenced 200 people, you might think that refers to Jim Jones who got a number of people to drink the kool-aid, but what about Fauci who helped influence over 1 billion people to drink the kool aid. If there really were "newspaper eschatologists" they would have reported in 2023 when Hamas invaded Israel that the Hebrew word "Hamas" is the word used in Genesis 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. and we translate it violence. The newspapers would have told us when Israel was surrounded on 7 sides that the armies coming against them were all prophesied in Psalm 83, that this never happened prior to this war and according to Psalm 83 it will never happen again, instead Gaza will be turned to chaff. But I never saw that in the newspapers because they are not involved in eschatology. When Russia invaded Ukraine they would have told us that Russia is also prophesied in the Bible and plays a key role in the Ezekiel 38 war which seems to be a war that uses radioactive material.

We could go on and on concerning many prophesies that the newspapers have never expounded.

Okay we can call it "The Continual MisApplication of Current Events to Already Fulfilled Prophecy Model."

Okay we can call it "The Continual MisApplication of Current Events to Already Fulfilled Prophecy Model."
It's our own version of Q-drops, or the X-22 Report, or a Daily 66/40..... with YouTube video clips of 'things that won't happen' instead of scary newspaper articles.

They all have one thing in common..... almost always wrong, but never in doubt.

You can call it whatever you want. I will call that "The continual Misapplication of erroneous doctrine to current events"

During the entire church age the church has been journeying to the ultimate conclusion, the Day of the Lord. This is nothing new, it is like Jesus' entire life was a journey leading Him to the Cross of Christ. He was, after all, the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. We can view the last seven years of this age, known as the seventieth week, as Passover week from Palm Sunday (that would be the rapture at the start of the seven years), to the flipping of the money changers table (that would be the collapse of the US dollar as reserve currency opening the door for the Mark of the Beast) to Jesus cursing the fig tree (sinful government) and telling us we can tell this mountain to be taken up and cast into the sea (judgment on the UN as the Beast empire headed up by Antichrist takes over), bringing us to Armageddon (the crucifixion) which will all usher in the kingdom age with the resurrection.

These things will happen, that is where we have been heading, that is what the faithful have been saying for the entire church age, and regardless of the mocking and scoffing, it will be just as true for us as it was in the days of Noah or Lot.

"The Donald is not a president, but he plays one on TV." -- Resident Alien

Why do you even bother reading his posts? This is the guy who blames Trump because a corporate jet crashed, he thinks the first time Biden realized he had very serious prostrate cancer was not when he was getting all the symptoms of prostate cancer or when he was regularly being examined by a Physician but rather after many years of this cancer spreading, and he brushes off Comey posting "8647" as not being a threat. He complains that Trump hasn't made any real deals days before Trump secures $1 trillion in investment. He has a problem with school libraries buying Bibles, the single most significant book in human history. He refers to the Trump administration as "a bunch of lawless thugs". He calls the President of the United States an "idiot".

We are told in the Bible not to give heed to those who turn from the truth. Jude told us about "complainers" and those who speak evil of dignities.

He claims "stormtroopers are loose on the streets." He says that Trump is like Hitler because at every turn he has tried to subvert democracy and make himself king.

"I have no problem comparing T. Rump to Hitler. Many parallels between the two." -- Resident Alien

He clearly despises dominion and speaks evil of dignities.

Jude 10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Trump’s actions are rational, if, and there is a big fat “if”, when you consider his background.

He is a businessman and wants to make deals. First of all that makes him unable to mentally comprehend the complexity of dealing unilaterally. So he just scoffs at it.

The second thing is that he has no interest in strategical planning. It’s “learning” by doing. The main problem with this approach is that the adversaries in the long run will smoke him out.

The third thing is that the corruption, which is somewhat tolerated in the world of extremely rich businessmen, doesn’t look so good when you are elected to be the spokesman of the people.

The fourth thing is that the regime of tariff he is trying to impose will backfire. I know he is probably deploying these tariffs as a means of tactical advantage, but let’s for once be honest, it doesn’t work that way in world politics. We are the ones who by the end of the day will suffer the consequences.

The fifth thing is that his unpredictability is more of an advantage to Russia and China than to ourselves. We have to ask ourselves if letting those countries in will benefit us or the western world on a whole.

The sixth thing is that accepting gifts from an antisemitic state like Qatar, makes one wonder about his stance on Israel.

The seventh thing is that I can understand why Elon Musk is out in the cold. There’s no room for extremely intelligent people around this administration, at least not those who have the ability to see the broader picture.

I could deal with tariffs if he was using them to tactical advantage for the good of the country; but unfortunately, it's looking like he's using them more for his own advantage.

Is that like when Calvinism strikes again, asking for a friend?
What would you say you do here?
You argue against Calvinists while sounding like a Calvinist?
Why are you so confused?

Remember that young Zoomer who was a proud Calvinist? She was very clear on her ideas of what Calvinism meant.
At that point i have nothing but respect for that person, because they're not confused.
And who am i to judge how people love God in their hearts? Some people feel special and some others are more reserved in saying "I am saved".
But why are you so confused on what you're trying to describe?
