I was hoping someone would start this thread. But I know some of you have some thoughts that you shared in the other thread. @God-fearing was it you? Sorry, I don't recall. Either way I hope this can be a good discussion. This thread is NOT about or for ANY other discussion than winning Jews to Christ. There are a dozen other threads for that. Go there!
The same as anyone else. You are a sinner, Christ died for your sins and He simply asks you to trust in Him for your salvation.

I believe you have to keep it simple with all unbelievers. The simple Gospel over and over and over if need be. Getting into the weeds with Jew or Gentile is a drowning situation.

The Jews will get us into "biblical" debates. The Gentiles will get us into "philosophical" debates.

Keep it simple stupid.....Is my theory.

I know what it means.....now explain it to a jew.

Exactly, which is what we are trying to accomplish here. Explaining Jesus to Jews. Some who don't even know He was a Jewish Rabbi. I do know that some Jews do not see the Messiah foreshadowed in the OT. Like in Isaiah, passages where we would see the Messiah, they do not. Anyone have any knowledge as to how to reach them specifically in those verses?

Lol that probably is good advice. But because I've been in evangelical ministry, and perhaps you have been, Christians tend to have a lot of clichés and church speak that we use. Especially those of us that have been on the road longer. I know I've found that witnessing to some of my family.

It would be great to reach the Jews with the truth.

But here is the hindrance here to fore.

And this way and that way.

The problem here to fore.

And this way and that way.

And to and fro.

And back and forth.

And every which way but loose.

And this, that, and the other thing.

You are going to have a hard time reaching the Jews because of your belief in a trinity.

The Jews do not believe in a trinity but believe one God the Father.
What is that hard to figure out.

How are you going to work around that with your trinitarian concept.

1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him.

Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The Bible plainly states there is one God the Father.

Maybe if you trinitarians would understand the truth than you can reach out to the Hebrews.

Yes, I agree that would be a challenge. There are lots of threads that argue that point. I don't want to do that here. But we do explain to any unbeliever that God is still One, in three persons.

The first part is a quote from your post

“I am currently studying and trying to understand for it seems very complex on what and how the Lords work brought about forgiveness and satisfying the law.”

The rest was me sharing with you some scripture and thoughts of that subject how Jesus satisfied the law . Ot was when he died and we get included through baptism into his death for our sins . The law was meant to impute sin upon people make all the world guilty. The Jesus died for all the sinners the law condemned to death which is all of us . We’re all sinners . “All have sinned “

When he died for our sins it fulfilled the law of sin and death “ thou shalt not , you must surely be put to death “ we sinned and we’re condemned to death but Jesus died to release us from it to fulfill it for us in his death

I agree with you on this as I said but there is more ......to the why he could do this.

You explain it the way I did to correct his misunderstanding of what the bible says. That verse doesn't say debt can't be forgiven; it simply says it's an abomination to call the unjust, just and the just, unjust. God did neither, and simply forgave our debt.

Tell that to Jesus.....simply forgave?........it required a sacrifice.

I agree with you on this as I said but there is more ......to the why he could do this.
Yes i agree there’s always more . There’s always more that we don’t know than we do . It’s why we should all peacefully share the parts we know and try to reconcile them . Often they do reconcile with scripture . It’s when you have a few believers who study the Bible that interact peacefully for the purpose of growing up in knowledge and practice . We would know a lot more of we would listen to each other more

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This [man] blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For whether is easier, to say, [Thy] sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house. But when the multitudes saw [it], they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such authority unto men. Matthew 9:2-8

It might be helpful to know that Jews follow Judaism, to greater or lesser extents, which is based on the Talmud, not the bible. Judaism is the creation of pharisees who escaped the destruction of both Jerusalem and the religion of Moses.

“The Jewish People are frequently called ‘the People of the Book’; yet if one were to search out a people who follow the teachings of the Written Law (Torah sheBichtav) literally, one might be led to the Samaritans, or the Karaites, who are now settled to the south of Tel Aviv, but never to the Jewish People. The Jewish People do not now follow the literal word of the Written Law, nor have they ever done so. They have been fashioned and ruled by the verbal interpretation of the written word … ”

The son of man is really important to the gospel

I think what is missing in any conversation especially with our Jewish brothers and sisters is compassion for the people.
Jesus describes them as lost, not hopeless, not wrong,....but lost.
As you can see in today's world as well as in the days of Jesus hatred has separated them from the rest of the world.
Being targeted for who you are and what you believe is very isolateing thing. We should always humble ourselves as we came to know the truth, the way, and the life, by grace and not by our own understanding. Praise God.
Our preaching of the gospel is not to prove a point, or to prove God or Christ is, but in part to take down strongholds which has blinded many from seeing the truth.
In the Gospels it is seen first not what Jesus said but how he said it. With authority. This imo came from the compassion he had for those that heard him. This authority was given to us also. In the words of Paul if we have not love we are like clanging brass just making noise.
Satan wants to divide . Christ wants to unite. Satan wants to wrong a right. Christ came to right a wrong.

1) You assume for some reason there is no compassion for Jewish people
2) Jews in Jesus' day separated themselves from the world and hated it

So what Bible verses and approach should we have to share the gospel with the Jews? No one is really addressing this?

I think I will check out Jews for Jesus and other organizations like them to get ideas.

Isa 40:1 Give comfort, give comfort, to my people, says your God.

The best way i believe is to present yourself as a friend even as Jesus did. You also have not come to judge or condemn but to give hope.
To listen, to pray. This may open the door to the prince of peace.
Be instructed but also be led. Friendship is one of the greatest relationships which opens doors and to greater things as trust, healing...ect

These are good things to apply to reach out to them. I like Jews a lot anyway - I grew up in New York City where there are a lot of them. That's why I can never hate them - they're generally nice people, very productive and fun to hang out with.

But I would really like to know which Bible verses I can share with them. I'm thinking books of Matthew and Hebrews from the NT to start. But I need Bible verses from OT and that's where I get quite overwhelmed. Which verses from the OT would be useful in sharing the gospel with Jews?

Yes, friendship is important. No one wants to feel like they are just being used or preached at.

So are you grateful to Jews like these?

Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast [him] out of the city, and stoned [him]: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon [God], and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Acts 7:57-59
