CB is my sister in Florida's favorite regular restaurant, but I suspect she won't eat there again. I have only eaten at one 2 or 3 times. I found it just "OK". Not distasteful, but nothing to write home about.

The guy didn't seem offensive to me? He looks like a farmer. I thought the "cracker" in Cracker Barrel meant that there were crackers (the kind that's made of flour and baked up nice and crisp) in the barrel. I didn't know it was referring to the guy!
Cracker is a term or name that was applied to Floridians who lived here before AC. There is also something called a 'Cracker horse' which was developed for the conditions of Florida. I'm not sure, but cracker may also apply to other southerners but I do know that it definately applies to early Floridians.
Also learned on the news this morning that the new SEO of the barrel, is a dyed in the wool DEI salvationist. They just cannot get enough of trying what does not work.

I've seen the Cracker Barrel restaurants before but I never ate there. That's a real shame that they went woke, but I won't miss them if they go belly up.

Perhaps it was intentional. You can make money from a stock price going up or from it going down. Granted the CEO can't short his stock and will lose money on his holding, but he can easily be compensated by others who profit.
When I was a stock broker I noticed that CEO's that drove companies into bankruptcy had no trouble getting rehired as a CEO somewhere else.
Imagine you own a competing restaurant, you want to eliminate the competition. I think we all agree the current CEO of this company is a complete idiot. But let's see if after driving them into bankruptcy if they get another job as CEO and if they get to be on the board of directors of other companies. This is how the elite get rich and stay rich, they trade inside information with people who are on the board of directors.
