Though I am only 23 and such, and I do not have it all together (believe me it might look like I do, but you would be surprised lol). So that being said, do you have questions?, want answers? Then ask me! Now before you start those wheels in your head, don't try and toy with me by asking with stuff related to:

  • Homework
  • Riddles
  • Very in depth theological questions (I will take these into consideration, but keep in mind I am not a theologian)

Questions about life, Christianity, and yes even film (movies) are all welcomed! If you do not wish to post your question in the forum, then message me your question, and if you feel that my response is worthy to be published on the forum along with your question (your name will remain anonymous or I will make up a screen name to keep your identify secret at your discretion) then let me know. Also you can e-mail your questions to [email protected]

Let the questions start, the doctor is in, let's begin!

JesusIsReal,

The answer to your question is yes and no. In the early years when the church first began (sorry if you already knew this), but there were no denominations, we were a church united. However, as years went on, and I believe it was anywhere between the 1200's and 1400's, there became the big division of catholics and protestants. Many believe that protestants are totally different and that catholics aren't real Christians (again this is not my belief on this subject, but I am still at odds as to what they believe in depth). Anyways, that is kind of off topic, from there protestants, became more and more divided and as well as the church as it once was. This is where we get all of our other brothers and sisters who are Baptists, Methodists, Church of Christ, Mormons, etc..... Denominations can be good, because they can help reaffirm a certain set of beliefs that the establishment has set forth. Bad, because ideologies of other denominations clash and stray away from what the true Word of God is and what is was meant to be. In the end the denomination does not matter, what does matter is that the church you attend is a bible believing church, who does not stray away from the Word of God, and keeps it biblical. As long as a church has that, then the name put before it doesn't really matter. I hope this answers your question, if not, then check out this article in Christianity Today, by clicking on the link below:

Ah oreos one of God's gifts to man. Well before I answer your questions, which oreos do you speak of, regular or golden? For me I always keep it with the original, because nothing beats the original, just look at the first Back to the Future (okay I better stop myself before I get on my rant about that lol). If you have not tried oreos with peanut butter then I highly recommend that you try it, it is AMAZING!!! It's like a party in your mouth that last for a bit :)

Jesus Is Real,

Another great question! Christian music (for me at least and I am sure many others) gives us a sense of an emotional reaction and can also brings us closer to God. The station named Way-FM in my town broadcasts radio shows and uplifting music that is centered around encouraging people to connect more with God, while give you a good beat to get you started! My radio is usually tuned to Christian music more than 80% of the time. HOWEVER, one (feel free to debate me on this if you want), cannot just listen to Christian music. Yes there might be too much of a good thing that comes from that. Yes, while it is uplifting and preaches the message of Jesus, sometimes we need a break from this and listen to some (dare I say it), Secular Music! Now I am not saying that you should listen to Casting Crowns for an hour then go and listen to Slipknot for 2 hours to balance it out, lol. But perhaps listen to Christian music for most of the day and then just some positive, non-crude music to wind down to (perhaps some Smash Mouth, Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, etc...). All this to say, you need a fair balance between these two. With this being sad, here are some Pro's about listening to Christian music:

1. Uplifts your spirit
2. Gives you a better attitude throughout the day
3. Can bring you closer to Him
4. Some songs are toe tap'n fun lol

Cons:
1. You might become Jesus Juked by listening to too much of it (aka you will enter Jesus into every little conversation, which can be annoying)
2. You could get bored of the whole genre entirely if listened too way too much

Hope this has summed it up for you :)

Does it annoy you when people get too religious? You know--when they make it more about rules and such instead of about a relationship with God? What would you do to start a revolution of pure God instead of religion?

Very Good question Lyndie, and I was sorry to hear that your period post got deleted, I think we can use that as an example of being too religious. Whenever a subject that is seen as too taboo or too iffy comes along, the church wants to quickly dismiss it, without giving it a second look. They will say something like "The Bible says we should keep our eyes on things that are pure", okay fine, totally agree with that, but what about when you are listening to Maroon 5, they aren't the most pure band around, but yet you don't have a problem with that, but you smite someone at the sign of saying Pe*is or Vag*na (sorry to censor these words, not sure if this will get deleted).

Many people Jesus Juke (as Wally From Total Axxess and I like to call it), things such as "oh the snow is so white" and someone else will say "yea, just like Christ the lamb, who died for us". Okay honestly there was really no reason to make that religious lol. So in answer to your question, yes it annoys me at times, when people are trying to be holier than thou (no offense to those of you who are times). It is more so about relationship, not tradition or rituals.

Hmmm.... I would probably start a revolution called "Say What!", which would be talking with people about anything really and slowly working God's love into the conversation. Again, you kind of put me on the spot on that one, I will have to come up with a better revolution better, lol. Hope this helps

Jesus is Real,

For me it is not my job to point out sins. In the catholic religion, they do confession where you tell all your sins to a priest and he says "alright do ten hail mary's (don't ask me what that is, cause I have no idea lol) and then pray and you will be forgiven". Well for us Christians we don't have to necessarily go that route, but more so just ask for forgiveness when we have sinned, and turn away from it so we do not commit the same sin. I mean smoking is not healthy, but I don't believe it to be a sin.

In scripture it says "Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned, do not judge and you will not be judged, forgive and you will be forgiven"

Lyndies,

As smart as I look, I am not a avid reader lol. Unless if it is an audio book (i know sad lol). The thing is, I am just more of a visual person being in that I am in and trying to get in permanently to the entertainment industry. I also took a storytelling course in college (BEST CLASS EVER!!!!!) which was lot of fun and showed me what makes a good story and if need be, how to concise it. Sorry if this has been a let down to your question lol. If you have friends on CC that have questions, please send them here :)

JesusisReal,

Well that is a loaded question, so let me break it apart for you. First I will start with aliens. Now this is what I saw last night, there was a special on the history channel, about religion and aliens. It seems that in many religious paintings of Jesus and the virgin Mary, that there are figures in the background that oddly enough look like UFO's. I found this intriguing. Wether or not they exists is still a mystery. God did create life and the universe, other galaxies,etc... so possibly there could be other life out there they we haven't discovered yet.

Ghosts, well mainly ghosts are seen as demonic spirits, which dabbles into the Wicken and Satanists religion, of which I know very little of.

Imaginary friends are fine if you are like 5 or 6, but they usually only last for a while until you are acquainted with REAL friends.

Concerning voodoo, werewolves,etc... I do not have deep thought in that, other than the movies made about them are quite entertaining lol

Very valid question. As you can probably tell, a guy like me does not own any pink shirts (or as ross from FRIENDS would call it, Salmon colored). I would not be opposed to wearing pink, I just don't own any items of the color at the moment. But real men do wear pink! (and purple on occasions). Perhaps it improves our manhood in some way

Well, the correct division of these categories would be YOUTUBE.
