Hey everyone.
this is a post to say Happy feast of tabernacles!
as well as, Happy Birthday Lord. and thanks for coming to this crazy planet to reveal your salvation to your people.

And the Lord came and tabernacled among us. John 1:14

i used to buy Him a big chocolate birthday cake on Sukkot, and then proceed to eat it all in three days. and one year after i had just finished the biggest piece of cake the world has ever eaten, I heard God say to me "next year? why don't we just celebrate with candles"
:D

so i'm going to light one tomorrow probably. but the first night of sukkot starts this evening of the 12th.
here's a link with the actually story of how to trace when Jesus was really born. it has to do with Zechariah, John the Baptist's father. because He was a priest in the temple. and the priests all had a 2 week "shift" so to speak. so it is traceable when Elizabeth was pregnant. and when elizabeth was in her 6th month and the baby left in her womb and Mary (Miriam)'s voice. and then Mary was impregnated. likely on the last night of hanukkah. and the timespan between the last day of hanukkah and the first day of taberncacles is exactly 280 days. doctors will even tell you that the human gestation period is not 9 months, but 280 days.

i guess youtube tells it better than an article sometimes. i'd be more likely to watch a video than read an article. so. enjoy. and however you celebrate, be blessed.

Ah Cool! So I was right about Sukkot having something with a celebration done by the jews. Me and my husband is reading in the bible together where I saw the name Sukkot, and I told him that I think Sukkot is also a festive day that the jews celebrate today as well as during that time. :) I might check out that link later. Been wondering whether Christmas Time the way it is done these days are really worthy celebrating, thoughh as long as one are Jesus focused and centered it is probably not so bad either.

Very nice cake, I'd love eating from that one. ;) :D

Happy Birthday, Yeshua!!!

yeah mrs. sunflower. :) sukkot is the feast of booths/ tabernacles. i don't think God has anything against believers honoring christmas with a pure heart. it's just a cultural thing. and it does stem from not-so-godly roots. but ya know? God overlooks a lot of odd things for the sake of a heart after Him. great timing :) the reading about it i mean

If you wanna get technical about it, saying Christ's birthday is decmber 25th could be considered blasphemous

i think most christians know that's not actually when he was born. it's just... sigh. tradition.
doesn't bother me. i'm just glad to know when it is so i can separate it from the whole santa scene.

I know He was born sometime in the spring...or am I wrong? But nonetheless, I'm eternally grateful Jesus came and died for our sins and rose again. Sorta reminds me of the green aliens on Toy Story...how they always say to Mr. Potato Head "You've saved our lives! We are eternally grateful!" well that's how it is with Jesus and Christians...keep on saying to Jesus "You've saved our lives! We are eternally grateful!" because seriously, who wouldn't be? :) (and if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about then lemme know.)

i'm not saying that wasn't out of the blue, unexpected, and a wrong conclusion. but we don't know why they said that. i have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

i don't want a fight ona post about yeshua's glory. it would take all the fun out of binging on chocolate! ;) kidding. just kidding. no reason to binge. i just wanted to share what i know with my beloved fellow believers. that's not even a picture of my cake. it's from the internet. but i want it :)

I did not say you mean it this way.

But anual purim celebration for instance and cooking by the jews fits this way.
