This is really wrong. Not fighting when the easy option is to go along with the government threats and commit murder is a heroic option, not a cowardly one.Just to be clear. If you run from this war and hide you are by definition a coward. Now the Bible says it is better to be a live dog than a dead lion. This doesn't mean I am supporting the war. It is not an "either or" choice because there is a third choice. You can repent and take Jesus Christ as your savior. The movie "Hacksaw Ridge" tells the true story of a guy who went to war as a Christian, refused to carry a gun, refused to kill anyone and still won the medal of honor. That is option 3.
When you step forward and sign on the line, you agree to do everything they tell you. That includes murder, and they're within the rights of their (illegal and coercive) contract to murder you if you don't comply, including by not carrying a gun. That's why so many could be legally executed for not fighting (desertion) in years gone by. Far better and safer to have nothing to do with them or their illegal contracts, and renounce their citizenship if necessary. Sure, they can still commit murder, but they have absolutely no legal recourse if they do, and such action would further justify any defensive action a man or woman may take against such an overtly tyrannical government.
