This sounds like a rule of the Pharisees what Jesus was consistently correcting.

The Sabbath is about keeping the Sabbath day holy Exo20:8 resting from work and labors to do so, so we can focus and honor God Isa58:13

So please show me in Scripture where communicating with someone on the Sabbath not allowed? when was reasoning with others with the Scriptures not allowed on the Sabbath. Please post verses for me. Thanks
Just giving you something to think about. If you see arguing or debating as reasoning, that’s your choice, but it might be more fruitful to focus on God rather than proving yourself right.

And @vassal If you’re claiming to observe the Sabbath, it’s worth remembering that traditionally the Sabbath is meant to be a day of rest from work and ordinary activities including using technology. In Jewish observance of Shabbat, for example, people avoid things like computers, phones, and posting online so the day can stay focused on rest and worship. Just something to think about if you’re saying you’re honoring the Sabbath while actively posting here.
The difference is that the Israelites, wrote there own laws and added to what God gave them.

Even in Jesus's day they made the sabbath a burden. Laws that are not found in the bible.

I listen to God not the Jewish traditions.

The Torah is the first 5 books of the bible. Which we all have.

The Talmud is the commentary of the leaders in the past, and some of the commentary is evil and not from God. The Talmud has no authority.
What they say about Jesus is enough to know it is not from God.

There is nothing to think about I asked that you prove your own statements from Scripture. If you can't do that, perhaps you might want to consider what the Bible actually says and what God Himself asks us to keep if we love Him. God's Word and God are not at odds :)

Amen! What it teaches is not from God. The stuff about Jesus and children, I really do not have words and won't repeat.

I am not Jewish, Jesus went to "TEACH" in the temple every SABBATH DAY THE 7 TH DAY, doing good, if i can do good here on this forum teaching the truth of scripture that so many reject I will. there is not many workers at this time, I will continue here and elsewhere as needed and the need is great. what you mentioned are modern pharisees additions I will have no part with these. I will not add to rules like they did or honour these additions. Jesus is my life Model And I follow him. keeping the sabbath is simple;

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Isa 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

I agree I have seen evil in it and I have completely rejected it, it cannot be trusted

Where does He tell us that keeping the Sabbath is required if we love Him?

Do you agree Jesus "The Lord of the Sabbath" spoke about the sabbath? do yoy agree that he was teaching in the synagogues on the sabbath, do you agree he told us that if we love him to keep the commandments?, He did and said these things, how can you pretend not to hear his words. they all kept if all of tem, Paul too.

Some how your going to explain how the first commandment was known from creation.

When we know, for a fact, that no one knew the first commandment of Exodus 24.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
You shall have no other gods before Me
.

There is the first commandment, how could anyone know that as a commandment with a penalty.

Your house of cards has collapsed.
you did not read what i said properly read it again. what is everything so confused with you? God knew at creation

Yes, Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath, spoke about it.

Yes, He taught in synagogues on the Sabbath. He was Jewish.

Yes, He said to keep His commandments if you love Him. He was speaking to the Jews under the Law.

They all kept it because they were Jewish, including Paul. I’m not Jewish, so I follow Christ under the New Covenant.

My question was, where does he tell us(aka Christians) that keeping the sabbath is required if we love Him?

Exo 20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Isa 56:6 “Also the sons of the foreigner (Gentiles)
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant

John14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.

John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love

1John2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

i replied already keep the commandments! the sabbath command is a commandment no? now show me where Paul or the disciples told us not to keep the sabbath!

its all over the bible, but they try very hard to annul this commandment and they cant! there is no instruction whatsoever to aay this, now lets wait for someone them to misquote Paul again and we can explain it again............

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

It is the principle.

The way it is presented not the issue.

When Adam and Eve were created do you believe this principle of not having other God's was not known.

The God that created the world and made man in His image was the same God that saved Israel from Egypt and the same God that Jesus is.

The principle is the same and the God I worship does not change.

Do you think this principle of not having any other gods was different in Adam's day?
If you refer to the commandment in Exodus 20, then that is a commandment in the codified law,
specified. In the covenant between Israel, Moses, and God (Exodus 24). Moses was the mediator.

Now you call the first commandment a "principle" of not having other gods.

The codified law in Exodus 24, had penalties attached.

Now for speculation; did Adam know the codified law of Exodus 24, specifically the first
commandment? Did Adam know that there was a strict penalty attached to the first
commandment?

You need to understand that both Rome and Egypt had no knowledge of the God of Israel.

Rome and Egypt did not, in "principle" know, the God of Israel.

Your saying the law was eternal and everyone knew it.

I am proving, that only Israel knew the first commandment as codified law.

Only Israel had commandment to revere YHWH above everything else.

You have lost the argument that the first commandment is eternal and everyone knew
the first commandment.

Sadly its what they learn in church. Its why Revelations speaks of two churches. The women clothed in white, God's true church who keep the commandments of God and testimony and faith of Jesus. Rev12:17 Rev14:12 and the apostate mother church (Rome) who changed God's times and laws Dan7:25 that most her daughters -protestant churches who came out of her but still hold on to a lock of her hair.

But since Saturday, not Sunday, is specified in the Bible, isn't it curious that non-Catholics who profess to take their religion directly from the Bible and not the Church, observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Yes, of course, it is inconsistent; but this change was made about fifteen centuries before Protestantism was born, and by that time the custom was universally observed.

They have continued the custom, even though it rests upon the authority of the Catholic Church and not upon an explicit text in the Bible. That observance remains as a reminder of the Mother Church from which the non-Catholic sects broke away - like a boy running away from home but still carrying in his pocket a picture of his mother or a lock of her hair.

sadly instead of following what Jesus said- join yourself to the LORD and serve Me Isa56:6 If you love Me, keep My commandments- He personally wrote it and spoke it and Jesus came to magnify them Isa42:21 now in our hearts and minds Heb8:10 2Cor3:3 if we hear Him Heb3:7-19

Why God is calling us to come out of her before its too late Rev18:4

What law was written by ink and what law is written by the Spirit of the living God Paul is contrasting. Can you please show these not with your words but Scripture. Because it helps explain the next verse and where those laws written by the Spirit of the living God went from tablets of stone (Ten Comamndment) to tablets of the heart. See its the same law- God would not make a New Covenant and not explain what that law is, He did clearly, the location changed, not the law written by the Holy Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of the living God, the Ten Commandments and I can back this with Scripture.
The law that I am saved by grace through faith. The ten commandments have nothing on that.

I prayed for you and Dino to become aware and start living the Truth, bout an hour ago, this morning.
I pray that you both " Fear God and Give Him Glory, for the hour of His Judgement is Come" !! Rev 14:7

Obedience to God is a central expression of glorifying Him, as it reflects trust, love, and submission to His will. The following verses highlight this connection: "From Glory to Glory", even as the Spirit of the Lord" ~~> Representing the Righteousness of the Lord.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++~~ Blessed Day ~~+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Look closely at the first verse that you bulleted to make your point...

  • Romans 1:5 – “Through him we received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations for his name.”
You've taken it backwards in reading it "the faith of obedience".

I said "I'm going from glory to glory." That is, "I am going from glory to glory" period, with unveiled face even. Nothing about "I hope and pray to," or "I hope Rob7 prays that I do." But thanks anyway, for the gesture.

The best reading of the evidence is probably that the moral and ritual core of the law was known and operative through natural law, the Noahic covenant, and patriarchal tradition
At it again.

Your inferring, speculating, that the ten commandments were known in Rome and Egypt.

When Israel was given the ten commandments as codified law at Mt Sinai.

The first commandment was never a natural or moral law and was unknown to Israel until Mt Sinai.

Because no other nation had that first commandment.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
You shall have no other gods before Me
.

The Lord identifies Himself "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt".

The God of Israel not the God of Rome or Egypt.

Rome and Egypt were never given the ten commandments and were not in covenant to obey them.

Stop speculating.

In order that I should not leave such a kindness unanswered. I pray that Rob7 realizes the love of God, which glory surpasses that of Moses.
