Just thinking about how few posts here in the christian chat have anything to do with Jesus, and how seldom His name is even mentioned here.
I have been thinking about that too. In the chat itself, we have many times talked about Jesus. But somehow it less often happen here in the forums.

Maybe the forum sections makes it less easy to do so?

Thinking of how much more I feel "alive" now that I am working a dayshift week, what a huge difference compared to night shift week.
When I see this I think about how much more "alive" I am now during the weekend, when I got to sleep without an alarm clock interrupting.

What I'm thinking is how to get over this spiritual fatigue, I'm tired.
I think we all have experienced periods like this. And sometimes we might feel disappointed.

The best advice I can give is to speak openly with God about it. Perhaps take a walk and talk with Him during the walk about how tired you feel. We can tell Him everything, both our joys and our sorrows. This is something I often do.

Also try to maintain a regular routine of prayer and Bible reading. When I have felt tired, I have often noticed that the enemy tries to make it seem like praying and Bible reading would be a heavy burden, so I am tempted to postpone it. But when I actually go and pray, the words come naturally, and I may find myself on my knees with Him for an hour.

At times there may also be other things in our lives that distract us. In such cases, it can be helpful to step back and "detox" from certain distractions.

That really is the best feeling to leave the alarms off and wake when you feel like it!
I practiced that last week on one of my work mornings as I forgot to put any alarms on.. 🫣 Luckily I woke up before those alarms should have rang and I ended up being at work on time.

One minute crying time.

That was really a thing in NZ in the 1950s. It was when telephones had to go through an operator, and the wives had to have one minute crying time when talking to their husbands, cos they would just abandon them with the children.

Of course men have to go off to do things, like work and war or whatever but what are the women supposed to do...pick up the pieces right? Also there was hardly anything to do in NZ except maybe get drunk after work and forget you lived in such a remote place far from civilisation as they knew it.

anyway. I don't need one minutes crying time. I have had years of it. It's so much *fun* being unemployed here. Church enjoys the free labour of women though.

Oh that reminds me..why do we have Gloriavale?? It's worse than Centrepoint.

if use alarms, than you can train your self to get up at the same time every day. oh wow lol.

I believe God took care of you there :). Many times God has also woken me when it was necessary.

I want to share something that has happened to me several times.

Normally I spend some time with God in the morning. It is very important to me, so I set my alarm earlier for this. God, who knows the future, has on several occasions woken me up earlier than my alarm when something unexpected and time consuming is going to happen in the morning. When that happens, I often feel a clear impression that I should get up and begin my time of prayer and Bible reading.

If I ignore that impression and try to sleep until the alarm rings, and then the unexpected occurs, I lose the opportunity to spend that time with Him before I need to leave. In those moments I remember how God woke me earlier and impressed on me the need to take that time with Him.🙈

What am I thinking about right now? I don't remember what I was thinking when I saw the thread at the top of the list and decided to click it.

I started reading and saw this:

And I started thinking about how sometimes, some of the best Jesus conversations I have had around here have been 1:1 or small group private chats. Sometimes, there are details too personal to share on a world wide forum, but you come across some special people you end up in private chats with, and some of the most wonderful conversations take place. Then, that got me thinking about Shittim...
I sure do miss him.
Then, as I was typing this, I got to thinking about the email I need to write and send before a meeting this evening, which reminded me of a phone call I have to go make...

I think I've gone crazy or having a bout of mental illness/insanity.

Forgive me. I'm probably just worrying about nothing.

I have fond memories of Shittimstan and Lanolinland. Actually I think Shittimstan was the only surviving country in the end.

It's a terribly windy day.
The kind that you just want to stay inside snuggled up.
I'm snuggled up with my fluffy wuffy snuggle bunny (as in a very snuggly, very real rabbit)
and thinking how I hate to have to go put her back in her house, but I do have things I have to go do...
ewww it means going out in the blustering wind. 😬
