Strange mentality!?! Have you never heard strong preaching warning us that it is possible to lose salvation, if we turn our backs/ walk away from God? Many of the apostles have warned us of such things. People need to be aware that it can happen! We need to run the race holding on to Him, His word; living His word daily.

OSAS
When a person is saved and given to Christ by the father, is he not also justified? Have his sins been forgiven through the death and resurrection of Christ?
If so, then it appears that OSAS is a most true conclusion to reach based on these facts.
Christ now sits at the right hand of the father as our advocate. He pleads our case, He intercedes on our behalf. He can rightly say that He suffered and our sins were laid on Him. He can rightly claim that all who have been given to Him by the father will be raised on that day.
They will be found spotless before the throne of God! They will persevere simply because they belong to Christ. Christ tells us “I will lose none of those given to me

I sat down to write a long post to give a philosophical explanation but I tossed it out. I'm with you; I would prefer to talk about the scriptures. And honestly, to answer your question, Yes, I can see it from the other perspective.
Ultimately there is just so far discussions of Scriptures can go around here. In my experience, the more focus on actual verses in context with detail, the more deflection and ad hominem attacks.

I don't blame you for tossing out the work. I've done the same many times.

It would probably take judicious action with the ignore feature to get down to something meaningful. I've only used it a few times, but I must admit it made things a bit more pleasant.

Read the warnings God gives in the New Testament.

Those that ignore God's warnings do so at their own peril.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Faith is the gift the Lord gives that enables man to be saved - "faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God"

No faith = no saving grace

Romans 14:23
everything that does not come from faith is sin

Those that turn away from walking in faith forfiet their salvation unless they repent and ask for forgivness and go back to walking with the Lord in faith once again.

Sadly some have been deceived by the devil's teachings to believe a person can live in sin and still be saved. This is what the ear ticklers teach these days and the people lap it up because they enjoy having some sin in their life.

It's false doctrine if it does no agree with the Doctrine of Christ

2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Those not abiding in the Doctrine of Christ do so at their own peril.
1 John 3:9 - No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

In 2 John 1:9, we see two camps.
camps. Those who transgress and do not abide in the doctrine of Christ do not have God" and "those who abide in the doctrine of Christ and have both the Father and the Son.

Unbelievers and believers contrasted:

1. "Those who transgress and do not abide in the doctrine of Christ and do not have God"

2. "those who abide in the doctrine of Christ and have both the Father and the Son."

Now although it is our responsibility to choose to believe/place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation

If you see it that way what you're actually saying is that your faith is in yourself and in your choice - that it is that which causes your salvation, but it is not in Christ as THE Savior.

My faith is exclusively in Jesus Christ for salvation and is not in myself. Jesus Christ is my Savior. If my faith was in myself then I would be trusting in my works for salvation.

You pulled the last statement out of context! Jesus was referring to the 11 that God the Father gave to Him. Many times, context is everything!

OSAS is 100% a false doctrine!! There are too many verses that say the opposite, of which you dismissed. You people just pick and choose whatever fits into your doctrine, and ignore the rest.

@mailmandan - sorry it wasn't my intention to be insulting if I came across that way - I was just trying to demonstate
from my perspective, the logic (as I understood it) of your post.

I asked a specific question. Are you able to answer it?

If you believe that by your faith Christ will save you, then then you are trusting in your works because your faith would then be a work that came from you.
Believing/faith is not a work that merits salvation. Through believing/faith, we are completely trusting in "Another's work," - Christ's finished work of redemption. (Romans 3:22-26)

LOUD preaching... not strong.

It is designed to move the emotions of the hearers.

I think it is because you believe that by it you must become saved.

Unbelievers and believers contrasted:

1. "Those who transgress and do not abide in the doctrine of Christ and do not have God"

2. "those who abide in the doctrine of Christ and have both the Father and the Son."

Yes and sometimes believers become unbelievers.

God's Word tells us in the end times some will depart from the faith and follow doctrines of devils - 1 Timothy 4:1

So we know it's entirely possible for a person who was born again on their way to Heaven to turn away from the Lord and no longer be saved.

Unless of course some people choose to not believe the warnings God has put in His Word which many do

If you believe that by your faith Christ will save you, then then you are trusting in your works because your faith would then be a work from you.

Actually this is one of the good works God has ORDAINED that Christians walk in:
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

So we do have responsibility related to our salvation but the good news is the Lord has given us His Spirit to empower us so we are not doing this in our own strength but thru the power of the Holy Spirit.

That is IF we submit ourselves to the Lord:
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Submitting ourselves to the Lord is not a suggestion

I asked a specific question. Are you able to answer it?

I answered your question so you have some studying to do.

If you were a serious student of God's Word you would already be aware of His warnings in the New Testament.

Since you apparently claim to not know of His warnings, I'd think you have already seen them and have decided to reject them because you have chosen to not believe and accept all the Lord teaches in His Word.

So, you're on your own there bub. Enjoy the teachings of your denomination or whatever movement you have subscribed to that has convinced you to not believe and accept all the Lord teaches in His Word.

You didn't answer anything. You just rambled.

And yet without believing and faith one cannot and is not saved.

Well I'm not interested in speaking with cherry pickers such as yourself.
Really? I didn't address you initially. You addressed me. So to say you weren't interested is a bit disingenuous, no?
