Romans 11:22
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Just like the children of Israel, if Christians do not continue in God's goodness (abide in Christ - read John 15) they too will be cut off

This is directly related to Gal 6:7,8 which tells us if we sow to the flesh (sin) we shall reap corruption (not longer in right standing)

This is WHY God put repentance in because if a person does not forsake and confess their sins, then they are still on the hook for their sins see: Proverbs 28:13 and 1 John 1:9.

God is not mocked, what we sow is what we reap. But some claim God can be mocked and we do not reap corruption if we sin and therefore they do not teach to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith (Acts 26:18)

What Jesus did on the Cross does not remove or do away with seedttime and harvest. Jesus said God's Kingdom is built upon sowing and reaping (Mark 4:26)

Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

*Notice it's saying thru the Holy Spirit, so spare me the doing things in my own strength speech as that's not a credible argument. We can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13)

But the OSAS folks continue to claim it's not possible for a person to lose their salvation.
That does not mean it's all good!

For there will be deep shame when they stand before the Lord in the believer's evaluation.

They will be shown rewards for all eternity that the Lord desired for them to have be taken away and denied while others around them will be hootin and hollarin about the great things they are to enjoy forever.

If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw,
their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light.
It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.
If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.
If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only
as one escaping through the flames.

1 Cor 3:12-15

That's what people say when they reject the whole counsel of the Lord refusing to believe all the Lord teaches in His Word.
A jaywalker is a pedestrian who crosses or walks in the street unlawfully or recklessly, typically outside of designated crosswalks or against traffic signals

Matt 7:13~~“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

John 5:24~~“Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

1 Pet 1:23~~for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.

John 10:28~~and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

Rom 8~~34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, but rather, was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ?......A jaywalker will try.

That does not mean it's all good!

And yet the OSAS folks keep saying even if a person lives in sin they will still go to Heaven.

By saying such they are encouraging people to continue in their sin because after all they keep claiming if a person lives in sin they will still go to Heaven.

This is why so many Christians are living in sin because they are taught in the churches and by popular preachers that if a person lives in sin they will still go to Heaven.

Did you disagree with something I said? If so, then what?

Go back and read what I said in my reply to you.

If you cannot understand what is being said then maybe consider moving on.

They completely reject this truth.

And make light of the Lords discipline.

1 Cor 3:12-15

This is applicable to our works. It mentions nothing about living in sin.

It is not applicable to to those walking after the flesh as they live in sin.

This is scripture twisting using 1 Cor 3:12-15 to make the false claim that even if a person lives in sin they will still go to Heaven.

I'm thinking about all the times the OSAS adherents claimed that even if a person does live in sin they will still go to Heaven which is false doctrine and not taught in scripture.

So...
Why are you going to Heaven?.
Because you do not commit sins that Jesus already paid the penalty for?

The meaning of the Cross is dead you your kind.
You keep failing to understand Cross of Christ.

The Cross was not some publicity stunt to draw people's attention to a salvation that we must work at to secure and keep.
You keep making a mockery of the death of Christ on the Cross.
You don't understand it till yet.

And make light of the Lords discipline.

The OSAS people mock God claiming if one sows to the flesh (sin) they do not reap corruption as the Lord teaches in His Word (Gal 6:7,8) and they make a mockery of what Jesus teaches in John 15 when He said those IN Him who do not bear fruit are cut off from the vine (taken away).

I'd hate to be one of the OSAS folks on judgement day. It's gonna be brutal for these people

Romans 2:7-11
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
For there is no respect of persons with God.

Go back and read what I said in my reply to you.

Looks like you disagree that Scripture says belief in Jesus Christ is obedience to Jesus Christ and that believing the Gospel is also obeying the Gospel.

Moving on...

It's not a tough issue in the Text.
Never perish is never perish.
No condemnation is no condemnation.

It's NOT a tough issue......Its the basics. It's elementary my dear Watson.

Can you even find life in the scriptures? Or just death?

And of course some of us might prefer 'endurance' for various reasons and might also prefer to just stick with what Jesus specifically states 'holds fast and bears fruit in endurance'.

Next layer(s), dealing with 'believing" & "salvation" from 8:12.
Perseverance and Endurance are synonymous, are they not? The point is, the farmer got what he was after.

The calvinists claim God is sending all the babies to hell, except for little calvinist babies of course.

Calvinist babies being defined by the calvinists as babies born to calvinist parents.
As I say, this is among the many reasons I am not a Calvinist.
