I have several tattoos. And I do not find it sinful, this is not the context of this question.

For a long time, I have sought to find the Hebrew word for heretic. Two that pop up are goyim(gentile) and minim... i found a third but can't recall it at the moment. But the third is the best looking one.

Anyway I want to tattoo in gothic style Hebrew letters "Heretic" over laid with a christian cross across my back between the shoulders.

As a christian, I would assume the belief is heretical to Judaism.

What are your thoughts on this if you saw this tattoo?

I don't like tattoos full stop. My father was ex Royal Navy and had quite a few tattoos. As he got older and much larger, the tattoos faded and stretched. It's your choice. You asked for my thoughts. Think what it will look like in 50 years.

How often do you show your back?
If it's not often, nobody will really see the tattoo.

Latest research coming out of the Uk links tattoo ink with a high incidence of blood cancers.

You have decided to get it. You stated up-front you don't see anything wrong with it, so you expected pushback right out of the gate.

Kinda leaves me wondering why you brought it up here. The only reason I can think of is, you just wanted to start an argument. But that doesn't seem to fit with the other posts I have seen from you so far.

um...I was going to say 'so what'?

I don't read Hebrew, well don't know it off by sight, so it would mean nothing to me. It means something to you, I guess.
I'd just think...oh tattoo I can't read.

I don't really go up to people and ask them can you translate your tattoo? Esp gothic writing. It's like graffitti, just scribbles to me, and I can't figure out what it's actually saying, I give up, and don't care.

If it was like a lovely picture, and different colours I might say something, but in general meh. If you are Maori or Samoan and got a Hebrew tattoo I'd just think it would be a bit strange.

Most christians if they have any tattoos at all, and they are smart, would go for the fish symbol. That is universally recognised.

Who cares what i or others think, if that's what you're on that's what you're on. My thoughts are that i agree with what you believe for yourself, i'm not here to change your mind. If you said that your tats are sin and that you're getting them all removed i'd agree with that too.

Who cares what God thinks ?

I have temporary tattoos
I had a little panda on my bicep.

Well a panda is one of God's creations. She's washed off now. The next one I'm going to have is flowers, or some musical notes.

well because I know that the Old Testament forbids Israel from them, even though the New testament is silent about it. When I've brough this up to other well-read Christians that's usually the first thing i here so i was just negating that up front.

No I'm no trying to troll anyone... However the fact that the tattoos is claiming to be a Jewish heretic, albeit true, I just was wondering if it is too over the top.

And yes, not many would get to see it.

Why would you get it on your back is that the only place? So you'd only see it in the mirror? Or if someone massages your back - which I'm not gonna do btw.

If its writing, in the mirror it would be back to front.
