If they open the straight of Hormuz today we will only have a mild recession with a drop of about 30% in the stock market.
Now if it stays closed for another three weeks we'll have a severe recession borderline depression.
This just in: Trump is pausing the opening of the Straight of Hormuz. Now let's not blow this out of proportion. Trump is a patient man, he isn't going to go nuclear just because Iran is forcing a global depression on everyone during an election year. Granted, if the Democrats win both the house and the senate they are planning to impeach President Trump, but President Trump is not going to go nuclear simply to save his own skin. You would have to be a monster to do that.

Why do you keep conflating the election, ie the chosen, with the not chosen who do not believe? Paul makes a clear disticntion between the two in terms of the election of God NOW. No one who disbelieves is the elect; it is impossible for them to part of the covenant with God without spiritual circumcision, which requires an acknowledgment of faith in Christ.
It's not like the old covenant in which unbelievers could be part of that covenant, and therefore the elect, if they were physically circumcised, because that was the seal of the covenant. Now entrance into the covenant with God requires faith.
