Romans8-5-9.gif

Romans 8 v 5-9 Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

Per Calvinism-

God requires saving faith from everyone,

gives it to a some and punishes those to whom he didn’t give it for not having it…

yet is somehow still “good” and “just”.

“It’s a mystery.”

John8-47Matthew13-11-2Corinthians4-4Romans8-9b.png

“Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.” The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. John 8 v 47; Matthew 13 v 11; 2 Corinthians ch 4 v 4; Romans 8 v 9b

Romans 1:20 proves that Calvinism/Reformed theology is false.

But when you devote your mind to a system one becomes blind to truth.

"Ever since the creation of the world God’s eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been seen and understood through the things God has made. So they are without excuse,"
Romans 1:20 (NRSVUE)

Regeneration =Gr. palingenesia (literally "new birth")

A person is not born from above, placed in Christ before faith/belief... Ephesians 1:13 makes it clear once again!
The first century saints believed, they met God's condition and because that belief they have been predestined to be sealed with His Holy Spirit.

11 in him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,
12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
13 in him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is the guarantee to the praise of his glory.

Regeneration never precedes belief .... and belief is the condition/response God requires to the Good News, Nowhere does scripture state that from birth a human is incapable of responding positively to the Good News of Christ Jesus.

How can those in darkness, blinded by Satan be saved...through the preaching of the gospel. The gospel shines through the darkness. Satan tries to hide it from those who are lost.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Stated nowhere in scripture...

Question: How can you tell the people you witness to, who are believers or unbelievers?

One big exercise of reading into the various passages .. once you go down that path the blinding lens to truth becomes like a permanent fixture on the eyes.

Why does the believer need to hear the Gospel, or right because they have been regenerated and now they need to hear.

Read it again...it's not foolishness for the believer to preach the cross to an ubeliever.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Exactly those who are perishing have already not responded positively to the message, that is why they are perishing.

Yes, dead persons are able to repent because God enables MFW.

And HOW does God enable them?

Also, can you please knockoff with the abbreviations unless they are very widely known. Very annoying.

Romans 10:
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they both Jew and Greek call on him in whom they both Jew and Greek have not believed? and how shall they both Jew and Greek believe in him of whom they both Jew and Greek have not heard? and how shall they both Jew and Greek hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, both Jew and Greek except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

A preacher is sent.
A preacher preaches the gospel.
They hear the gospel.
They believe the gospel.
They call upon the name of the Lord and are saved.

To those who believe the gospel and are saved, the preaching of the cross is the power of God. To those who do not believe, the preaching of the cross is foolishness. "How can someone be saved through the simple preaching of God's word? That's foolishness!"

What does God’s Foreknowledge mean?

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge(prognosis) of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: (Acts 2:23, KJV)

God’s foreknowledge is based on his own determinate counsel, definite plan.

The BDAG
Prognosis, “πρόγνωσις predetermination, of God’s omniscient wisdom and intention (so Alex. Aphr., Fat. 30 p. 200, 31 Br.; Proverbia Aesopi 131 P.; Jdth 9:6; Just., D. 92, 5 πρόγνωσιν ἔχων) w. βουλή Ac 2:23. κατὰ πρόγνωσιν θεοῦ πατρός destined by God the Father (NRSV) 1 Pt 1:2 (Just., D. 134, 4; s. WArndt, CTM 9, 1929, 41–43).—DELG s.v. γιγνώσκω. M-M. TW.”

Thayer
2. Prognosis, “πρόγνωσις, forethought, prearrangement (see προβλέπω): 1 Peter 1:2; Acts 2:23 (but cf. προγινώσκω, and see Meyer on Acts, the passage cited).

For whom he did foreknow(proginosko), he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Rom 8:29, KJV)

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew(proginosko). Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, (Rom 11:2, KJV)

BDAG
Proginosko, “προγινώσκω choose beforehand τινά someone Ro 8:29. τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ 11:2

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. (1Pet 1:2, KJV)
compare
who have been chosen and destined by God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with his blood: May grace and peace be yours in abundance. (1Pe 1:2 NRSVue)

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matt 7:23, KJV)

Did Jesus not previously know that they existed? Of course, He knew they existed, but they were not known in and by the love of Christ.
The meaning of Foreknowledge also includes the concept of "covenant relationship." Thus, when Jesus will say, "I never knew you" he is saying, "I was not in a covenant relationship with you."

The Spirit convicts through the preaching of God's word. Some reject the Spirit (which I would say that blashpeme) and others obey the Spirit and are saved.

He is also saying that He never made them new, born again children.

In the same way Adam “knew” Eve and she bore a son.

This is exactly what scripture plainly teaches.

Why do some reject it, and others believe and accept it?

After that ye are known of God.

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

How does God know who are his? God knows that are his by his seal, the Holy Spirit that is placed into the believer the moment he believes the gospel. See Ephesians 1.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

There is a moment in time when God knows you as a son. How does one become known as a son? Believe and call upon the name of Jesus.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
