I agree that repentance is a work of the Holy Spirit, but Scripture never treats it as something dropped into a person mechanically or irresistibly. God’s transformative work opens the eyes, softens the heart, and awakens the conscience — but repentance itself is the human response to that awakening. In biblical terms, God grants the *conditions* for repentance: illumination, conviction, and a heart made tender to the truth. We repent because God has acted first, yet the act of turning is still ours. The Spirit enables; we respond.
I haven't said anything about mechanically or irresistibly, although I do believe anyone so acted upon by God will respond in faith and repentance.

You have no evidence that David knew of Christ's forgiveness.
I just gave you a scripture. David was a Prophet and foretold Christ Acts 2:29-31

29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

He knew His Son would forgive sins Ps 89:

29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

Through our discourse I see you know very little about Salvation and Christ.

It doesnt have to say it, its implied, if God isnt imputing their sins to them, where did they go ? They were charged to Christ for Him to die for them . God just didnt let the sins slide, they had to be dealt with, vs 21 explains

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Also 1 Cor 15:3-4

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Thats how and why He reconciled the world until Himself, by not counting their sins against them, but He counted them against Christ. Learn your bible friend
How about you quote 1 Corinthians 15:1-2`? Where its POSSIBLE to believe in vain and its YOUR responsibility

You should read Colossians 2:13-14.
The key verb in Colossians 2:14 is **ἐξαλείφω** (*exaleiphō*), which means “to wipe off, erase, obliterate, remove.” It’s used for wiping ink off a document, erasing a record, or canceling an obligation. It never means “to pay” a debt; it means to make it disappear. Paul’s picture is not of God collecting payment but of God *erasing the record* of what stood against us. The emphasis is on forgiveness — the gracious removal of the charge — not on a transaction being settled.

Nevertheless, Jesus gives repentance Acts 5:31 thats how it is He was exalted to do that as Prince and Saviour, i cant help what that person or yourself cant believe or receive, and I dont play bible hopscotch
In Revelation 2:21, Jesus speaks to the church of Thyatira about a false prophetess named Jezebel. Jesus states: “And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not”

Why not? I say because she was wicked, you say because she was wicked. Great, we agree. EXCEPT for: You believe its God's decree for it to be so. I believe she was given a genuine space to repent, as Jesus says, He wasnt play acting or lying. She just refused to repent.

You need to provide scripture to support your view. All you did was prove that David spoke prophetically. You didn't show that death on the cross was something he predicted. In fact Paul argues that no one knew that the Messiah would die on a cross. That idea was totally unknown.

No, it tells us the cross wasn't about forgiveness of sins. They were already forgiven before the cross.

Again, the facts bear out what I am saying. God doesn't need a reason or a cause to forgive sins. Mercy trumps judgment.
I think this comes down to the view of the atonement as well. The calvinist view usually is that when Jesus dies for someone their sins are automatically gone. I see in 2 Cor 5:19-20 and Colossians 1:21-23 and even in the OT system which is a shadow of the new one, that atonement being made does not equal automatic forgiveness. If you didn't afflict yourself on the day of atonement, the sacrifice did nothing for you. In the new covenant we must receive the atonement by faith, or else, we will be like the false prophets in 2 Peter 2:1 whom were BOUGHT but rejected the atonement and paid the consequences.

Hell was made for the devil and his angels, NOT people

That takes time to explain, Im not going to take time with you explaining all that, you have rejected the Labour I have already put forth

Its not possible for anyone Christ died for to die in their sins a unbeliever
But IT IS. Thats what the Bible SAYS all the time. Dont know where you got that idea, just a failure to harmonize or what?

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Hebews 10:26-29 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

Here we have people SANCTIFIED by the blood of the covenant insulting the spirit of grace. But I thought the blood wasnt for them? You betcha it was! Jesus took away the sins of the world, including all those who do die in their sins BECAUSE people refused the pardon

How so. Nobody in the world of 2 Cor 5:19 can die in their sins. Paul called them earlier the called/chosen 1 Cor 1:24-27

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Reread 2 Corinthians 5:19. He clearly tells you that God was not counting their sins against them. If God is not counting your sins against you, then he is not accepting payment for them.

Thats a false statement, provide that scripture argument of Pauls
Paul argues that the significance of Christ’s death — especially its role as God’s public demonstration of righteousness — was a mystery now revealed. In Ephesians 3, he says this truth “was not made known to the sons of men in other generations” but has now been unveiled through the Spirit. Likewise, in 1 Corinthians 2 he says that if the rulers of this age had understood God’s hidden wisdom, “they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” And in Romans 3 he declares that God set forth Christ “to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time,” language that frames the cross as a newly revealed act of divine self‑disclosure.

That idea was totally unknown.
What was Isaiah writing about Isa 53

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 ;He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Phillip used this scripture to preach Christ Acts 8:31-35

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

33 ;In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

I hope you not a pastor teacher because if you are, you leading folk astray

Have you noticed how calvinism takes a lot of 'splaining`? Its cause you gotta change so many verses to make it fit. Cant read more than one page without conflicting the TULIP in the bible.

But dont worry, I already know the deal: Its talking about the "non elect" in the church, and its a warning , NOT A REAL ONE, but one to condemn them even further, as they can never actually believe for real.

TERRIBLE VIEW OF GOD!

The wages of sin is death. Every person has a sin debt that needs to be paid. Colossians 2 is specifically dealing with trespasses forgiven as a result of nailing it to the cross.
OT forgiveness came by the sacrificing of animals; a precursor to Christ. OT sins were said to be covered. Colossians speaks of sins being taken away all together.
The cross is inexorably linked to the forgiveness of sin.

Paul argues that the significance of Christ’s death — especially its role as God’s public demonstration of righteousness — was a mystery now revealed. In Ephesians 3,
Thats about the Gentiles inclusion in the Gospel Promises made in the New Covenant Jer 31 Thats the Mystery Eph 3:

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5 ;Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

So you Falsified: didt prove Paul said that
