God gives Faith for that reason, that we may know we are elect or have eternal life. Its called the Faith of Gods elect, to acknowledge the Truth Titus 1:1-2
I didn't say anyone was saved because of bloodline. I pointed out between the bloodlines which one was saved.Yes I know that. Perhaps I should explain that I was replying to trs68, who had written: "So NO, no one of Noah's blood family and lineage of Seth died in the flood."
I fully agree that salvation, and the grace that grants it, is not dependent upon blood-line, otherwise it would not be grace.
I didn't say bloodline saved anyone.I know Dave, I have no gripe with you
Yeah I saw that, a very unlearned comment, like nobody in seth bloodline wasn't God hating sinners. Now God did preserve the elect line of grace via Noah, so that it would continue to develop until Jesus would be born from the tribe of Judah, but everyone in that line was sinners, their preservation was to the praise of Gods grace.
You may as well said itI didn't say bloodline saved anyone.
Unlearned people insert things not said.
Tulip is the Gospel
At this point you oppose the GospelOkay, so you triple down on telling God He hates most of humanity and favors only a few with salvation.
I want to be a fly on the wall at the Pearly Gates when/if you arrive!
You seem to have a strange idea of what those of us who believe in the Doctrines of Grace ("Calvinists" as you call us) actually believe. We certainly do not live every day in turmoil and fear wondering whether or not we are elect. If any sinner believes on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, that shows they are elect.

I have news for you, Tulip Truths are the Gospel of Gods Grace !I bet tulipism is anathema.
If you understood the Hebrew and the numerical values you would see why I would have never made such a connection even with your assumption tendencies. You may as well said it
Its not, Gods election is conditioned on Gods Sovereign Choice and Grace Rom 11:5-7That is the MFW view.
Tulipism (the U) says God's election is not conditional on faith.
Hogwash, I dont need to understand the hebrew to understand Salvation principles, you need to understand Grace because you dont at this juncture. If you understood the Hebrew and the numerical values you would see why I would have never made such a connection even with your assumption tendencies.
You need to understand Hebrew to know which lineage was destroyed that you most obviously have no idea about.Hogwash, I dont need to understand the hebrew to understand Salvation principles, you need to understand Grace because you dont at this juncture.
I dont need to know hebrew to know Salvation principles in scripture. You guys kill me trying to bootstrap people into thinking they need to learn greek or hebrew to understand the scriptures. Thats hogwash. Im quite aware of the line of the Messiah going back to Adam Lk 3. Now God wiped out millions of people, suffocated them in a flood, and chose to save 8 people. Noah should have put out a sign from the ark saying, smile God Loves youYou need to understand Hebrew to know which lineage was destroyed that you most obviously have no idea about.
I don't know about "Tulipism", but the Doctrines of Grace teach that faith is a result of God's electing grace. That is the MFW view.

Thats what you think. But there is also the FAKE GRACE God gives to some who believe for a while and fall away. Just because you believe now, doesnt mean you wont stop believing later. You could be one of those people who calvinists say "were never saved to begin with since they went out from among us so that it may be shown they were not of us"You seem to have a strange idea of what those of us who believe in the Doctrines of Grace ("Calvinists" as you call us) actually believe. If it is fake grace, then it is not given by God. The God of the Bible does not deceive anybody.Thats what you think. You will never know. God could have deceived you, as the calvinist version does. He commands one thing, decrees another, gets angry at people for doing what He decreed them to freely do. Its a mentally ill god
