I don't agree with your Calvinism but your pictures with the scriptures are beautiful![]()
Romans 8 v 6-7 The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
I don't agree with you calling me a Calvinist. I am a Bible believing born again Christian.I don't agree with your Calvinism but your pictures with the scriptures are beautiful![]()
I always see Calvinism as the equivalent of "the devil made me do it" excuse. No responsibility for anyone's actions
Sorry, I thought that's what you classed yourself as, my mistakeI don't agree with you calling me a Calvinist. I am a Bible believing born again Christian.
Thanks for the apology. And the for the compliment on my Scripture panels.Sorry, I thought that's what you classed yourself as, my mistake
John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
Sad admission John had, I hope he misspoke.
You said this which led me to believe you did not believe in original sinPlease quote me where I denied this statement >>> 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
Original sin is a doctrine Augustine developed whereby all mankind not only died in Adam but also all mankind bears his guilt.
The means God employs doesn't alter the fact that salvation is by grace....through faith.
Salvation by grace doesn't mitigate responsibility. All mankind is responsible before God by virtue of creation.I always see Calvinism as the equivalent of "the devil made me do it" excuse. No responsibility for anyone's actions
But if mankind has no free will and can not choose, how can anyone be responsible for their actions, are their actions not predestined ?Salvation by grace doesn't mitigate responsibility. All mankind is responsible before God by virtue of creation.
Definitely. I think it is a mystery. GOD'S big plan vs our responsibility, both valid. Like Jesus 100 percent God and 100 percent man.Salvation by grace doesn't mitigate responsibility. All mankind is responsible before God by virtue of creation.
I appreciate the question, and it is a discussion worth having. It can't really be had here with any degree of success. But regardless of what one believes about choice, nature, and a variety of other aspects concerning man's behavior, man is responsible for his actions before God. The soul that sins shall surely die. I can assure you that man didn't subject himself to this truth. God subjected man before Him. He has this right by virtue of creation. But if mankind has no free will and can not choose, how can anyone be responsible for their actions, are their actions not predestined ?
There is also this, though some will claim it does not apply. God does not change.Definitely. I think it is a mystery. GOD'S big plan vs our responsibility, both valid. Like Jesus 100 percent God and 100 percent man.
We are limited being, I accept many things I still don't understand.
Just as quantum physics, the wave particle duality, the observer effect. It is real, but no human explanations.
Paul wrote Ephesians 2:8. So, obviously I have no problem with Paul. It seems you do. Paul says we are saved by grace. Grace is the exercise of God's power in/on/through an individual. You seem to want to add to grace.
...through faith.
I was simply employing your logic. If I quote Paul and have a problem with him, I naturally thought you quoting Paul meant the same thing.Right. I have problems with Paul and that is why I quoted him. Don't believe you are able to tell anyone here what God's grace is.
The only way you can change most people's understanding, is to twist what Paul states.
You seem to want to play games and misquote the Bible.
No one here thinks I have a problem with Paul. That's just you trying to deflect. You have a problem with not understanding OT prophecy. Jesus speaks on behalf of Himself but you think Ezekiel is prophysing to Calvinists. You can't make that kind of nonsense up but yet you have managed to do so.
No, I do not seem to want to add to grace. You seem to want to ignore it altogether and make God into a capricious being who goes innie meenie moe to decide who is saved and who He is going to throw into hell. The Bible says nothing whatsoever about that belief and everything about how we receive salvation through Christ. Of course the Holy Spirit plays a part as one thing He does is to convict of sin. BUT God does not put His Spirit into unconverted sinners. That is a fabrication.
I'm done with your false words today. I'll see how you post tomorrow if I care to continue an obviously constructed false scenerio to pretend I said things I never said.
But if mankind has no free will and can not choose, how can anyone be responsible for their actions, are their actions not predestined ?

Since you believe I have twisted the word of God, please share how. My argument is that salvation is by grace. I have posited that grace is the exercise of God's power in/on/through an individual. My conclusion is that salvation is accomplished by the activity of God as He exercises His power on behalf of an individual. What's twisted?
