That's a good comparison.
If there's a gross meter, I would rank maggots at 20% and 2 dudes kissing at 90-100%.
The exception would be the "greet one another with an holy kiss" that is still common among families in parts of Europe and the middle east last I heard. That's totally different peck on the back of the cheek by the ear.
I Thessalonians 5:26 KJV
Americans usually just give a hug and pat on the back.
Or a hand shake by both sexes.

Well, I quoted Scripture. Directly. What the heck did you read???
My apologies!! It’s #126: it looked like you had a whole huge statement above the block of scripture in pink. In reality, I can see you were responding to Butterflyy… I started reading it w/o seeing Butterflyy’s name above. Sorry! Anyway, I can see why you responded.

Also, your blocks are very pretty, but they are rather difficult to see—- I thinks it’s color combinations and script. 🩷

A little leaven (sin) leaven’s the whole lump…. Soon, the whole church will be infected and sick.
It was in years past.
The big dyke who was living with the Jr church leader beat up a young girl/pastor's daughter during an argument on church property. I was told that she was turned over to LE and forbidden from returning.

Ehhh, probably from time to time, not as much as the next guy, but some people have very thin skins.

nope.

The question is in the context of the thread.

Why did YOU not suppress the Truth, yet others did and do?

Not sure why you won’t say.

Try studying scripture from a non-reformed/tulip/Cavinism viewpoint to open up your understanding.

But it was a month since I posted #23, and alot of people agreed with it, so I guess you just have to accept the fact
I disagree with your reformed theology.

There is no such thing as gay as it is commonly stated. This is a term for people addicted to a certain form of lust to identify with.

People who identify with these desires become addicted through entertaining certain thoughts and allowing those to become temptations. Then they act on those temptations creating a deeper hole they fall into until they fall so deep that without help they can never see the light or the truth. That those desires do not define them and are something they can be delivered from with the Lord.

As to why some are more prone to these thoughts than others, it is dependant on the individuals circumstances. Usually exposure (with things you shouldn't put your mind or eyes on) or bad company or trauma it seems to me but I am sure there are other reasons.

The bible describes homosexuality as a judicial punishment from God for worshiping the creature more than the creator (Rom 1:25)

There are additional pathways to homosexuality. One can be raised in a culture like ancient Greece where it was an accepted cultural practice. One can be introduced through being abused as a child. One can also come through ideation to fixate upon it as a source of pleasure.

Being a saved Christian does not prevent homosexuality as many Christians (perhaps most) still struggle with walking in the flesh and its appetites.

A priest once commented that a friend of his quit the priesthood to join the gay life in California in the 1970s. He saw his friend again in the 1980s as his friend was dying of AIDS. His friend told him of his joy that God had given him the gift of repentance.

"Love your neighbor as yourself." - Mark 12:31

I frankly don't believe being gay in itself is a sin. In fact, my church is VERY LGBTQ+ friendly. Being gay isn't the sin, it's only when you have lustful thoughts does the sin begin. A man can love a woman without having sinful thoughts and I believe that the same applies when a man loves another man, woman loves another woman, etc. You are entitled to your own interpretation of things but isn't it kinda rude to say ALL gay activity is bad?

Do you understand what these verses are saying?

Romans 1:

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

I know what you are going to [want to] say - "But, it is talking about lust." - however, it is also talking about what is 'natural' - and not 'natural' - i.e. against what God intended - which is what makes it sin - 'being gay' is sin the moment anyone accepts it as being 'normal'.

God calls it 'vile affection' and 'against nature'. In this verse, He calls it [an] 'abomination':

Leviticus 18:

22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Now, this in no way means that we should treat anyone who is "LGBTQ+" badly - we should certainly love them for Christ's sake - their soul and eternity are at stake; however, we should not accept their lifestyle as being 'normal' either; rather, we should tell them the biblical truth - if they are willing to hear it.

If you say "Well, it is not sin until an 'act' is performed." - yes, I understand what you are saying; however, you need to understand that the acceptance of it alone is rebellion against God - which is the first 'act' that is performed - which makes it sin.

The moment that it is accepted in the 'heart' (heart-and-mind) - it is rebellion against God - and, it becomes sin even before any "outside act" may be performed.

The only case where it might not be considered sin is a case where someone "feels gay" (for whatever reason) - but, not accepting it while they honestly and earnestly try to "find their way" to truth. For example, a modern child who has been exposed to - and thoroughly confused by - the efforts of evil to pervert the minds of children - has it unsettled in their mind - not accepting the propaganda that has been "shoved down their throat" - dealing with it in their heart and mind --- the whole idea here is that they have not accepted it as 'normal' - in such a case it might not be considered sin.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

What gay activities you think is not bad?
If a man desires other man, but he is a Christian and he refrains himself from indulging in any guy activities, then he is all right.
There are born again Christians previously into gay stuff. But they repented and sin no more. Some man even become pastor and mentor people with similar history.
God said return to me, I will return to you.

In other words, to "feel gay" is one thing; however, to "embrace" it is another thing altogether.

except for the fact it is COMPLETELY natural, homosexuality has dated back to 2400 BCE. It is part of love and 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
