No you haven't. All you have proven is you refuse to see words can have various meanings and context determines their best use and you have a tendency to ignore or deny context. The word translated spirit can mean breath or the life of something in general which is how it is being used in the Ecc.3:21 passage as it is speaking of both men and animals and animals are not born of God, they do not have an animal spirit, they are made from the elements of the earth, not of God. Gen.1:24.

Keep on ignoring/denying to your peril. We are BORN from above, not resuscitated.
" Or the life of SOMETHING in general." So by your own words spirit means " life of SOMETHING". You tickle me. You mean like " the body without the spirit is dead"? Full circle :-))))

Now you're just getting weird. Yes Nezzy, God EXPECTS us to live in this dark and dying world. Jesus, Himself, prayed " I pray NOT that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil." John 17:15. We are light and salt, His witnesses, living epistles, "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of ALL MEN:. For as much as YE ARE MANIFESTLY DECLARED TO BE THE EPISTLE OF CHRIST ministered by us, written not of ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in fleshly tablets of the heart." 2 Cor. 3:2-3. The fields are" white already to harvest" John 4:35, but YOU want to leave, SMH. We have work to do, assignments here on earth, not in the sweet by and by. This is not the time to get all you can, can all you get and sit on your can. Stop thinking selfishly.

What does "Nezzy" mean?

Yes, the body without breath is dead. I did say breath or life in general. Look it up, you don't need to take just my words.

Why don't you explain how an animal can have a spirit if they are made from the earth and not born of God?

I have addressed you by that moniker several times and now you wonder? Genez=Nezzy, get it. Maybe you can't address my reply, so I'll take that as a thank you.

I had been wanting to know what it means for some time.
But, not so much as to bother.
I figured it would become a passing fad with you.
But, you continued.
So, now I asked to know.

So you are refusing to tell us what Nezzy means.

Because?

Your strong point is playing games and saying things that make no sense.

I see.

I don't get it..........Along with all the theories you espouse.

No search online renders it's meaning.

So I thought I'd ask.

He should know better.
He should not speak in tongues unless there is someone to interpret.

I agree with the majority of your post but the the 1 Peter 1:6-9 scripture is what I have been saying all the time, that when the OT righteous saw Jesus they received the " end of their faith, even the salvation of their souls", glorification.
I believe glorification of all believers throughout all time will occur in the future:

From GotQuestions.org (bold mine):

Jesus declared the truth of the resurrection in opposition to the Sadducees’ denial of it (Matthew 22:23–33). He referenced Exodus 3:6 as proof. On another occasion, Jesus declared the certainty of resurrection: “Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment” (John 5:28–29, NASB 1995).
The first resurrection includes “Christ, the firstfruits,” that is, the first one to be resurrected from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:23a), with many more to follow (Romans 6:9; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 1:18). “Those who are Christ’s [are resurrected] at His coming” (1 Corinthians 15:23b, NASB). The resurrection of church age saints (living and dead) will occur at the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16). The resurrection of Old Testament believers (Jew and Gentile) will occur at the second coming (Daniel 12:2; Isaiah 26:19). The resurrection of all martyred tribulation saints will also be at the second coming (Revelation 20:4). The resurrection of every millennial believer will not be “until the thousand years were completed” (verse 5, NASB).

The only difference being NT righteous have been given a "down payment " while the OT righteous weren't.
yes, according to Jesus, He had to go away before He could send the Comforter (John 16:7). The Comforter is the promise of the Father (Acts 1:4) ... the earnest of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14).

It's ALL" through faith with patience that we inherit the promises." Heb. 6:12. In Psalm 13:5, which you quoted, David states
...." my heart SHALL rejoice in Thy salvation." It seems that he knew, by faith, that he would receive Gods' salvation but the word" shall" means a future event. Yes, the Spirit was in them for service, for writing or prophesying, but not permanently. If the OT prophets had salvation why did they " inquired and searched diligently" about salvation?
OT prophets "enquired and searched diligently" concerning "the grace that should come unto you" (1 Peter 1:10).

The "Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow" (1 Peter 1:11).

God revealed the suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ to OT prophets. David, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah, Zechariah. Genesis 3:15 tells us that God revealed to Adam and Eve that the Promised Seed would have His heal bruised and ultimately the Promised Seed would bruise the head of satan.

The "glory that should follow" was revealed to OT prophets as well.

1 Peter 1:12 indicates that "angels desire to look into" those things, too.

Romans 16:25-26, 1 Corinthians 2:6ff, Ephesians 3:1ff, Colossians 1:26-27 speak of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began ... hid in God until it was revealed to Paul.

Ephesians 3:10-12 tells us the intent ...

Ephesians 3:10-12 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Believers in our age and time have "boldness and access with confidence" unto the very heavenly holy of holies, of which the tabernacle was a shadow, a figure.

Entrance into the earthly holy of holies was restricted to one person once a year.

We now have a new and living way ...

Hebrews 10:19-23

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; )

Can you show me Biblically where, in the Old Covenant, men received salvation before Christ.
I have already provided verses which indicate OT believers were saved through faith ... same as we are. They saw the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth ... they saw the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth ... they did not see the mystery which was kept secret since the world began ... hid in God until it was revealed to Paul.

.

Why don't you explain how an animal can have a spirit if they are made from the earth and not born of God?
Again, I'll answer with scripture " Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward toward the earth?" Ecc. 3:21. Answer: God. You can try to twist Gods' Word to fit your theology all you want, but it says what it says. BTW, I have looked it up, and you know it, and in addition to breath it also says BY RESEMBLANCE SPIRIT, but you NEVER acknowledge it. God says, IN HIS WORD, that man and beasts have spirits. Only mans spirit is made in the image and after the likeness(resemblance) of God. Parentheses mine. " God is a Spirit:.... " Jn 4:23. Question, does God, who is Spirit, have eyes, fingers, hands, feet, ears, etc., etc.? Then so do I, spiritually. A king had sent a search party of soldiers looking for Elisha in Dothan. " Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots, And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray Thee OPEN HIS EYES, THAT HE MAY SEE. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." 2 Kings 6:14-17. Now, the servant saw the horses, chariots and the great host surrounding the city, sent by the King. Elisha prayed that God would open his eyes so that he could see. What eyes? His spiritual eyes, so that he could see into the spiritual dimension and see the chariots of fire. When Jesus said in Matt. 11:15 " He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." Everyone had ears, except the deaf, so what ears was He talking about? Spiritual ears, for He said " :The Words that I speak unto you they are spirit and they are life." John 6:63. Whether acknowledged or not, there is a spiritual man in all of mankind, the part of us made in the image and after the likeness of God, it just, because of the sin of Adam, was lessened and the soul became more prominent, following, or being led by, the dictates of the lusts of a fleshly mindset. God opens up our spiritual ears to receive His spiritual Words. He opened mine several times until, as a twelve yr. old, I responded. I thank Him for His longsuffering with me, and because His Word says " The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that ALL should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9. Since Gods' will is that none perish, then ALL have to have opportunity to repent. Faith comes by hearing, so God, according to His will that none perish, has to open up our spiritual ears at one time or another, so that ALL have opportunity to hear, spiritually.

From a discussion elsewhere I had about the nature of Sin...

I don't agree. Jesus' flesh and human spirit had no sin at all. Jesus was likely given Mary's DNA but without Joseph's DNA because Joseph would then have taken credit for a "Work" in producing Christ. Flawed Works had to be atoned for and could not produce Eternal Life. Jesus was Eternal Life and was the product of God's Work alone.

DNA can apparently produce defective combinations, but in Mary's case it appears that God "healed" any possible defects in the order of these chemical combinations and the state they were in. The flesh within her imperfect flesh was rendered perfect as far as Christ's being was concerned.

Because human Works are carried on through reproduction, all of mankind, except for Christ, have inherited a Sin Nature and cannot, apart from Christ's Grace, obtain Eternal Life. All of us inherit human DNA as well as a sin-infected human spirituality that disqualifies us from obtaining Eternal Life apart from Christ's Grace.

We all sin, even though through Christ our New Christian Nature may prevail over our Sin impulses--not perfectly but sufficient to show the Nature that we have chosen to reign in our lives. Inheriting human DNA means we inherit flawed Human Flesh. But the Sin is not in the fleshly flaws, eg diseases but rather in the spiritual corruption.

The flesh and the spirit are two separate things. Before we do any Sin we have already been born with a contaminated spiritual nature and will Sin as soon as we are able.

Again, the trial we undergo in life is in proving what Nature we wish to prevail--our New Nature from Christ, which desires to submit to Christ's Righteousness, or our carnal Nature, which wishes to make choices independent of God, even if at times those choices agree with God's choices.

The real battle is in choosing to partner with God *always,* because this proves what Nature we choose to have and to dominate in Eternity. It is not our Sin Nature that condemns us in Eternity. Rather, it is in our choice for Christ, producing a New Nature, or not.
To answer the OP question, yes. But, she'd have to be wouldn't she. She was to carry Jesus in her womb. He too was without Sin.

In Luke 1:28, the Greek word κεχαριτωμένη, "Kecharitomene" , is translated as, "you who have been and completely remain filled with grace." It is a precise grammatical expansion used by linguists and theologians to capture the full weight of the Greek perfect passive participle.

Again, I'll answer with scripture " Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward toward the earth?" Ecc. 3:21.

That is why Jews were commanded to pour the animal's blood on the ground.

Wasn't that mystery, the scripture which you partially posted," To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you the Hope of glory:" Coll. 1:27? Some scriptures might indicate, but none, that I know of, distinctly says they WERE saved. They are now. Question, in your GotQuestions, in bold print(yours), you say that the OT believers, Jew and Gentile will occur at the second coming. Yet the Bible says that " For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ SHALL RISE FIRST. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Thess. 4:17. You say that the OT believers WERE saved but you say that they won't be resurrected until the second coming. So they must not be "in Christ", because the dead " in Christ " rise first. In the Daniel scripture it says that " And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." Dan. 12:2 It doesn't give a timeline of when they shall awake. Do they all awake at the same time? I can't tie in Isaiah 26:9 with this subject, must be above my pay grade:-))

Again, I'll answer with scripture " Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward toward the earth?" Ecc. 3:21. Answer: God.

Your argument regarding that verse has never been who knows the answer to the question so why you are wasting space with this now, I don't know.

You can try to twist Gods' Word to fit your theology all you want, but it says what it says.

I have twisted nothing, ruach can mean breath, fact! Context and comparison demands understanding. You ignore, deny and misrepresent (as shown below) God's word.

BTW, I have looked it up, and you know it, and in addition to breath it also says BY RESEMBLANCE SPIRIT, but you NEVER acknowledge it.

Ecclesiastes 3:21
HEB: מִ֣י יוֹדֵ֗עַ ר֚וּחַ בְּנֵ֣י הָאָדָ֔ם
NAS: knows that the breath of man
KJV: Who knoweth the spirit of man
INT: Who knows the breath afflicted of man

It also says:
1. wind
2. by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation
3. (figuratively) life, anger, unsubstantiality
4. by extension, a region of the sky
5. by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions)

And you NEVER acknowledge the other four meanings to hone in on your one pick and worse still, is you deliberately misrepresent the meaning of an actual spirit for it only relates to a rational being. Ergo, animals do not have a spirit, therefore it is not talking about actual spirits in man or beast as shown in the above translations.

Question, does God, who is Spirit, have eyes, fingers, hands, feet, ears, etc., etc.?

Are we going to get a body like His? We are made in the image of God the Son who is Spirit, Soul and Body. All things were created through, by and for Him. We are not made in the likeness of the Father who is Spirit only, if we were, we would not be souls. No-one has seen the Father except the Son, we see the Father only through the Son because we are made in the Son's image.

As for the rest of your post, once again, you completely ignored my question because you know you have no answer.

It seems the best you can do is ramble on with something that has no bearing on whether man is born with a human spirit or whether he gains one when he is born from above upon believing the Gospel.

People can see for themselves your deceptive and dismissive handling of God's word, I need say no more. It's shameful.

grace and peace
