p.s. - the idea of having "two or three witnesses" to establish/confirm the truth of a matter is a concept that we see throughout the Bible, but if memory serves, it has to do with church discipline and other sorts of legal/judicial matters, not with establishing the meaning of verses/passages in the Bible. If you would, please point out a couple of verses or passages to us in the Bible that you believe establishes this principle of interpretation so that we can consider it too (there is 1 Corinthians 14:29, I suppose, but I believe that the judgment there has to do with establishing the true source of extra-Biblical prophesies, whether they be from the Holy Spirit Himself, or from a different spirit instead).

That said, this idea, of how we conclude what the true meaning of various verses/passages in the Bible are, would make for a good discussion thread, I think :)

Jesus always said barely fairly or truly truly. He always said it twice. That is because it was the two witnesses. The father and the son. What is the definition of spirit? Well give you two witnesses for that. Jesus said my word is spirit in life. And then when he was about to send him to heaven, he told the apostles, I have to go now, so the comforter could come the Holy Spirit to bring back my words to your remembrance. The spirit is the words of Jesus.

Jesus said I speak all things in parables. So that’s how you gotta look at everything in the Bible. There’s the physical and then there’s a spiritual.

Hello again @Patrick0269, the mods will move this thread to the Bible Discussion Forum if you pursue a study here, just FYI, as this place isn't meant for such discussions, at least not at length anyway.

Please let me/us know if you establish a new thread to discuss this topic over there because I'd like to join in.

Thanks :)

p.s. - quickly though, here is a short article that may interest you: https://www.gotquestions.org/verily-verily.html (which we can discuss on your new thread too, of course).

Let’s go back to 1000 days as a day to the Lord. So if 1000 days is a day of the Lord, what day are we living in now?

I’m over in the Bible discussion for him. Why don’t you come join there? The words of men are death and the words of Jesus are life. Articles have no concern. Only the Bible and the Bible only. I would love to discuss it with you.

Matthew 17:20
New International Version
20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
