Trashing an horrifically erroneous eschatological framework is hardly the wrong thing to do.

Wouldn't you agree?

I mean Paul was pretty concerned about these two jokers who were eschatological wrecking balls.....and rightly so.

[2Ti 2:17-18 KJV]
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

Did you realize that verse 18 trashes every historicist pretension there ever was.

Yep. I does. I mean, if you are packing the gear it is staggeringly obvious that it does.
Every textually abusive person I've read on a Christians forum , when confronted regarding their sinful behavior, always uses Scripture to defend their behavior.

They cite Jesus, for example. "Jesus called the Pharisees and Sadducees names..." etc...

Neither they nor you are Jesus. Or,Paul.

You're just arrogant pseudo bible intellectuals who enjoy insulting people behind the pretext of, "defending scripture".

In truth, you know nothing of The Word.

While the Scriptures do forewarn us of you all.

"Did we not argue over your holy word, misrepresent its truth and call people names in the process, in your name Lord?"

And Jesus answered and said,.....

So Paul was wrong in excoriating Hymenaeus and Philetus by specifying and then exposing their eschatological fraud for the benefit of the Church as a whole?

And anyone else doing the same is likewise wrong?

No, but rather it is most certainly the RIGHT thing to do.

Furthermore, if one holds fastidiously to the actual Biblically grounded eschatology of Paul (futurist dispensationalist premillennialist), tell me why you feel so compelled to rail against such a person?

If you'd stop sarcastic personal attacks you'd have a better chance at being respected.

You can't treat people like trash and worship God at the same time.

I feel sorry for the women in your life off line.
BTW, been married going on 10 years. Been betrothed for 7 years prior, never meeting each other in person even once. So been together 17 years total.

We both flew to Costa Rica (me alone, her with her family) and got married.

Our marriage is better than ever, getting better every day. Irreproachable mutual trust and imperturbable fidelity being the cornerstone.

Ok, back to eschatology.

Anything about Daniel, the harpazo of 2 thes 2 and 1 thes 4 relating to the Hebrew betrothal wedding protocol, the works of Sir Robert Anderson and the 70th week time of Jacob's trouble that I can help you with?

Time for me to turn in, but before I do, let me offer you some food for thought:

If you actually knew the staggering and profound eschatological implications of 2 Timothy 2:18 (I am not convinced that you do), you would not be resisting my efforts and accusing me without cause; you would be assisting and applauding!

Are there some benefits? Sure, but I think the problems outweigh the benefits. I do not think AI should be public use. If you want to use it for missile guidance systems, have at it. You want to use it for back-end business practices to make it more efficient, again... have at it. But it's like social media, you can't tell me the world is a better place because of it.

You say it is like "social media" but you have no proof that it is.

It is very annoying when a forum member replies with AI slop to every post, instead of thinking and responding in their own words.

I do agree on this, if they are going to present data or facts that is fine, but when they use AI in place of presenting their own deductions from scripture, that is a no go.

AI is just a search tool with a massively improved human-machine interface.

That's it. IOW it tends to be a tiny bit less dumb than a normal computer.

However,
Our economy is currently overvalued based upon the development of AI.

Over the past decades (since the 70's) China has tried o dominate all the various economic markets by devaluing American premium products. They do this by producing vast quantities of an inferior product. Cheap, mass produced goods beat gold plated goods every time. Especially when it's your money.

Currently China is doing the same thing with AI. Cheap, mass produced knock-offs. Which do you want?

Here's just 1 example how social media has lead to increase in psychiatric disorders - Link

There's actually a ton of studies done, so there is proof.

You stated AI is just like social media, there is no evidence for that in terms of its negative impact.

Since AI is relatively new, I doubt there is any evidence which proves causation, there may be some correlation emerging but that is not causation.

This just means your opinion is no more valid than anyone else cause it is all just opinions at this point in time.

Of course it has.
Can you imagine a parent burying their child because they committed suicide due to cyber bullying?

Cyber!
Avoid the SM sites. Close accounts.
But no. SM is so ingrained , kids can't imagine life without it.

Crimes have been solved because of suspects Facebook account showing them pictured with the gun they used in a murder.

Yeah,let's show that off!

You absolutely didn't use the word "indignant" correctly, that's for sure. If you're going to make fun of others and say people should "make some sense once in a while", I would at least make sure what you're saying makes sense.
Technically he did use that word correctly, grammatically.

Spiritually he used it in quite an insulting manner, which is very spiritually incorrect.

I do not have the time to read that research and look at the methodology etc., but generally speaking one study is not really sufficient draw any firm conclusions.

Correct more or less. The pundits and geeks in the thick of the biz understand this.
I also understand this.

That is not to say that things will not develop beyond that point eventually.

On the contrary:
Spiritually, those who don't know tend to stone those who do.
And such an attitude is actually that which is insulting to the Spirit of grace is it not?

Zec 7:11
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

Act 7:57
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

Act 7:58
And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

Did I mention that I have Daniel and Revelation in the bag and most here certainly do not?
And that my understanding of eschatology comports with that of Paul (who comports with Daniel) with great fidelity and accuracy?

So then, is that what everybody is upset about around here? Somebody knows stuff and knows that they know?
And knows that somebody else doesn't know?
Yea, sure it is, whether the "not knowers" admit it or not.

Frankly, I suspect that the REAL problem is that those who do not know KNOW that they don't know and know that I know that they don't know! And they are not very happy about it.

Of course the solution is eminently simple: know and quit trying to not know.

You really have to calm down. I've never seen you THIS boastful. And you don't realize, and are totally unaware of how comical you come off. It doesn't make you look superior - rather just trying very hard to sound impressive to others.

So what is actually happening to you that you've been acting this way? That you have to try to convince yourself that you're superior to everyone else?

Huh? No, that is a false dichotomy.

AI is a lot of fun in fact and very useful. I was fooling around last night while watching Beat Bobby Flay, brushing up on field theory.

And it just so happens that YES, the Polarizable vacuum (think in terms of permittivity and permeability of the vacuum) model of gravity (Dicke and Puthoff) DOES correctly deduce the observed anomalous perihelion advance of Mercury (approximately 43 arcseconds per century) matching general relativity.

It is also considerably simpler to work with, overall, than the full mathematical machinery of general relativity.

Actually, I'm having a lot of fun, whereas most everyone else around here seems to be engaged in this weeping and gnashing of teeth and stone the loudmouth business. Tragic really and oh so unnecessary.

Lighten up friend, maybe you will learn something.
For example: this post-trib rapture business is DEFINITELY not what Paul is teaching!

It just looks like false bravado that you're putting on, to be honest. I can pray for you if you want.

I have no problems with AI as it is right now it is very useful, a time saver and yes at times fun.

But if I am discussing a topic with someone online I would prefer to read their own rationale not those generated by AI.

So not sure where there is a false dichotomy?

I take it that what you really mean is that, as far as you are concerned, determining whether the post-tribulation rapture doctrine is true or false is impossible?
