Your dog (cute little pup) has more sense than a Calvinist who states he is not a Calvinist, yet defends Calvinism because he believes the same way but likes to believe he is original and a great scholar.

Are you aware of what Calvinism is or have you waundered into a thread seeking only to defend the gospel according to scripture?

Yes, I am aware of what Calvinism is and the havoc it reeks. To answer your question, I enjoy sharing the Gospel according to Scripture with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I won’t be spending too much time posting on this thread though because as previously stated in another post, it’s a lesson in futility.

You like to edit Scripture.

One more time...

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me
was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them
—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is
made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly
about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Grace is power from God to enable believers to do well...
For doing good things that will merit his favor!

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
......
If grace is God's power being exercised, it is God producing the result.

I live, yet not I; Christ lives in me.

Who is producing the results? Paul or Christ?

First you will need to define world and we can investigate why your understanding of John 3 might be further informed. In the meantime, we were dealing with what Ephesians 2 actually means by grace. Is grace what God does or what an individual does in response to what God does?
The New Testament was written in Greek and the word used in John 3:16 is cosmos, meaning all the humanity.

Are there any other definitions for cosmos other than the one you have given?

You missed answering my question. Can you please answer?

Calvinism having a hand up my back was a compliment; not an insult?

And please show me from my posts where I was nasty? I am unaware of any post I have made that fits such description. I'll gladly apologize for any such offense. While you are searching, you will come across some insults directed at me. Please exhort them stop as you have done with me.

Are you not the same Cameron from this and other threads past that twists both scripture and what people respond to you with?

Don't clutch your pearls now. They aren't real.

You and a few others here follow a pattern of generously dispensing insults and reacting with absurd feigned shock when people call you out on it. The pattern allows for you to call into question the intelligence of anyone who disagrees with you. This is your calling card and an invitation to meet you on your home turf by responding with language similar to yours.

I do not consider your explanations to be faithful to scripture and that hardly means that I am in a sad state.

You always end up throwing insults when you cannot address scripture with that Calvinist twist you love so much. Your insults simply end up becoming a part of you since I don't deserve them.

It is God producing the ability and power for the result.

Thank you HIH. I’ve been watching this thread since I joined a few weeks ago and you’re right, trying to share the Gospel with Calvinists is a lesson in futility. I appreciate everything you have share. God bless you.

Just to clarify, I always support defending biblical soteriology against the most egregious error filled one ...it being Calvinism.

I just think we have to be aware that their goal is to convert (there is an agenda) so they pose all kinds of questions, cherry pick verses, use straw man tactics, amongst many other tactics to get people to doubt what they know to be true.

I have seen a few on CC fall to these tactics, sadly.
It is is easy to get drawn in.... but sounds like you are well aware!! (y):)

If that is my modus operandi, it should be easy to show examples. You made a claim concerning the nature of my posts. Either what you say is true or not. I'm simply asking you to prove your claim. If you cannot, you are guilty of what you accuse me of. Please show the posts that verify your claim.

This has been my point all along except I was applying it to the grace exercised in salvation.
And It is offered equally to ALL individuals. Some reject it. Some accept it.

Equal privilege and equal opportunity for ALL.

You are not the super duper special one. You accepted His free gift....I hope. Because you were not double super secret picked for salvation.

1 John 2:2~~and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

WHOEVER believes will be saved. It is not Just @Cameron143 and some of his family and buddies can be saved.

I don't believe I'm special.

I don't believe salvation is limited to a small number.

I do believe that everyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is saved.

I've shared this with you on numerous occasions. I've also shared how salvation is not equal opportunity. Large numbers of humanity since the time of the cross lived and died without ever hearing the gospel. This is easily verified by history. How then can you say equal opportunity for all?

And this is where you always go.

You have no regard for the Grace of God. You have a saved by Sovereignty theory and try to mix in Grace to sound more appealing and palatable.

You totally disregard the HOLY SPIRIT and His ministry.......Everyone gets the gospel.

And thank God for Him, because you and the other calvies sure are continuing the history of not spreading the Gospel.

He died for ALL.....Not just you special ones.

If the sins of all humanity have been atoned for, no one can be cast into hell. Otherwise, God would be unjust.

And it is false to say that I have no regard for grace. I am a proponent of salvation by grace.

It is also false to say I disregard the Spirit and His ministry. I acknowledge with scripture that no one can call Jesus Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

It is also false that reformed believers do not share the gospel with the lost. I share gospel daily.

Same ole, same ole. You have no regard For His grace.

HUMAN GOOD/EVIL/DOING IT OUR OWN"good" WAY is not paid for. ALL sin is paid for. Grace upon Grace.

I have yet to see you share HIS Gospel on this forum. I have yet to see any reformed person share HIS Gospel on this forum.

We have no idea what Grace is if we think he did not die for ALL........This is why unbelievers will not just POOF and vanish forever. They are resurrected and suited to eternally survive the LoF......Christ died for them.

And He will give all the equal opportunity and equal privilege to His free gift. He is not willing that any perish....

What if God saw fit that your salvation certificate be received via certified mail, but there are a whole lot of uncertified 'believers' who have no seal of the Holy Spirit. After all, what more do you expect of liars?

Uncertified believer or certified atheist, what's the difference? No is able to successfully counterfeit the seal of the Holy Spirit, as much as the beast might try.

I do appreciate the answer, but this is no different from saying God produced the result.

Paul said....

Romans 7:18-19
For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.
For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not
do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.

Before regeneration and grace took over his thinking Paul could not do the good that he knew was good even as unsaved!
Paul chose for good, but did not have the power to carry it out.

So, grace makes the way for our good volitional choices!
Grace makes us able to do good as we choose when they are right choices.
Good choices which developed from our maturing values that come from having a steady diet of sound doctrinal teachings.

But, grace can not honor power when what our choice is based upon false doctrine.

God did not make Paul choose for the good.
For, Paul was already choosing for good even when grace was not enabling for its fulfillment.
He knew what was good before he was saved.
He just did not have the power to do the good!

So much for the total depravity of man.
For man would not want to choose for good when powerless to do it, if we were totally depraved!
