Free will - as defined by those who are Arminian or some variation of it, on Christian Chat, would simply mean someone who has the right to accept or reject the Gospel message. Additionally, because they have so-called free will, they believe God would never interfere with their will. They also tend to deny "Depravity" as a subsequent state after the fall of Adam.
Pelagians. Why entertain Pelagians?
Just call them "Superman."

Yet Jesus said 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19

You are a false witness and you testify against Christ Himself.

You, in spite of the fact you do not believe we can choose, have already chosen and so be it. God's word reveals who is who even in this format.

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

I would tell you to be careful of your next words in your judgements, but since you do not hear...
Matthew 19:14 doesn't say anything about 5 year old children, turning from their sin, repenting and being born again.

The disciples viewed children as unimportant and a nuisance to a busy rabbi, mirroring a culture that marginalized the weak.
Jesus corrected them, asserting that the kingdom of heaven belongs to "such as these", showing that God values the lowly and helpless.
Jesus welcomes infants who cannot yet exercise conscious, rational faith. God's grace and election precede human choice; God claims people—even the youngest—long before they can intellectually choose Him.

Contrasting with the self-righteous rich young ruler who trusted his own works, children represent total helplessness, radical dependency, and zero personal merit. Entering the kingdom requires a posture of receiving grace like a helpless child rather than earning it.

Thankfully, I hold to Christ who is not a system. He is the risen and victorious Son of God who has defeated death and states that all may come to Him.

I don't think you could rightly divide a sandwich for your lunch.

I will say though, YOUR theology, as you put it, is yours and you are most welcome to keep it since you reject the truth.
Your fear of the unknown, reveals that you have chosen ignorance as your coping mechanism.

Systematic theology, is the organized study of Christian doctrines, answering what the whole Bible teaches about specific topics like God, salvation, and humanity. It is deeply important because it provides a coherent worldview, guards against false teaching, and guides Christian living.

It arranges biblical teachings into a logical, unified system rather than looking at texts in isolation. It gathers data from all parts of Scripture on a specific theme (such as grace or sin) and combines them into an orderly framework.

It helps believers see the big picture of what God has revealed instead of a jumble of disconnected ideas. It shields the church from errors and half-truths by testing ideas against the whole counsel of God. It connects deep truths to daily life, helping people worship God rightly and grow in maturity.

Systematic theology builds its core framework around God being completely in control of creation, providence, and salvation. It organizes redemptive history through divine covenants (such as the covenant of grace and the covenant of works) showing how God relates to people across history. It emphasizes that salvation belongs entirely to God.

Ignorance may offer temporal bliss, but it will leave you destitute in the long run.

What's the say'n? Was it ignorance or laziness is bliss?

Enjoyed your systematic run down @Journey_man
You remind me of the Gospel writer Matthew. He was systematic.
You shall now be known as Matthew.
J/king, G-d bless!

Some armed chair logician in the background is saying, "argumentum ad ignorantiam."
Ironic.

The verse you note here, Galatians 5:22, is portrayed as a link. (handy, yes?) and when you click on it, this is what it states:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

I picture you driving with someone beside you giving directions and when they say go left here, you turn right and leave them screaming 'no no the other left!'

I think perhaps that the noon day sun in question, was enjoying an eclipse with it's good friend, the lesser light, mr moon.
Gal 5:22 teaches Faith is the fruit of the Spirit, those translations cant bail you out.

5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. There you have Romans 5:1

If he had said faithfulness, that would indeed by a 'work'. As it stands, people who change what the Bible actually states are in danger of being told "I never knew you' and that should be one of the most sobering thoughts of all time.

I am sure that Strongs lexicon is a faithful bedside companion when you wish to do a little light reading before heading off into dreamland.
Right the same exact word. There is no difference between Faith and Faithfulness, its the Spirits fruit

The statements that are actually contrary to each other in this refreshing take on reformed theology would be humorous if the intent were not to sidetrack all who would believe in the biblical gospel. It is not (gospel truth) any more than calvinism is gospel, the gospel or any variation thereof. If Calvin could only somehow temporairly shed the wrappings of death and appear as a testament to his own errors.
Limited atonement is a Gospel Truth, you dont teach it, you teach a false gospel, period ! You are being shown why by me, so its no excuses.

Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”

John 6 28 & 29. It's in your Bible too.
I know what they asked and I know Jesus reply. Now if you condition your salvation on anything you did, congrats, you are basing your salvation on your works, totally contrary to Grace Salvation by Christ alone.

Yes...
That is what took place in Romans 1:18-ff

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness
of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God
is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world
God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but
their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed
to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made
to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the
degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie,
and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural
sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations
with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other
men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave
them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
They chose not to retain the knowledge of God!
Knowledge that God had initiated to them first!

grace and peace .......

.

Yes, and many people miss seeing that Paul's inspired special revelation affirmed general revelation, which was the means/basis of salvation for most of humanity for most of history until the Bible became more available in western societies. In my experience I have been the only one who has asked the obvious question “What is God's requirement for salvation (GRFS) for those who have never heard of Jesus?” (which includes everyone living B.C. and millions of people who have lived A.D.)

If God loves the world (John 3:16) and wants everyone to be saved (1Tim. 2:3-4, Ezek. 33:11), then He must provide an opportunity. God’s just judgment is illustrated by Jesus in the Parable of the Talents (Matt. 25:14-29), which indicates that God will judge souls on the basis of the truth (Word = Christ per John 1:1f.) they have received.

General revelation includes meditating on the natural world or God’s supernatural work and moral conscience. Paul said men are without excuse, both because God’s eternal power and divine nature (love) are manifested by creation (Rom. 1:20), and because a proto-gospel has been proclaimed to everyone under heaven implicitly or in pre-NT foreshadowings (Col. 1:23, Rom. 10:13-18, Gal. 3:8). He also taught that all normal humans have an inner conscience or “common” sense (Rom. 2:14-16), which manifests morality or a moral Authority in every culture, perhaps beginning with the Golden Rule (Matt. 7:12).

And you are witness to the great falling away and a happy participator.

Church refinement? Yes, Jesus on the cross with a crown of thorns pressing his brow and dripping blood into His eyes was quite refined. At last we have understood what it was all about.
Those who fall away, were never saved to begin with. They made a false profession of faith, based on the same Arminian (saved by works) version of the gospel that you proclaim.

Those of us who are truly saved were chosen for salvation by God. He is the Author and finisher of our faith. We can never fall away.

Ephesians 1:4-5 God chose us in Christ before the world was made to be holy, and in love He predestined us to be His adopted children.

Romans 8:29-30 Those whom God foreknew He also predestined to be like His Son, and those He predestined, He also called, justified, and glorified.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 God chose you from the beginning to be saved through a holy life and belief in the truth.

John 15:16 Jesus tells His disciples that they did not choose Him, but He chose them and appointed them to bear fruit.

Acts 13:48 All who were appointed for eternal life believed.

The cross is a mystery, no man understands it.

Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”

John 6 28 & 29. It's in your Bible too.

Don't think so. Look closely at John 6:28-29. The crowd asks for a list of human works, but Jesus responds by taking the concept of 'work' entirely out of human hands. He states that the act of believing is actually the work of God operating within us - God's work to accomplish, not man's.

I replied to a member who didn't like the sound of "systematic theology". They didn't know what it means, so the safest way to deal with it, is to shoot the messenger first and ask questions latter.

because God’s eternal power and divine nature (love) are manifested by creation (Rom. 1:20),
Gods power and GodHead is manifested in and by creation but not His Eternal Love, thats manifested in Christ alone 1 Jn 4:9

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Gods Love is exclusively in Christ Jesus, Rom 8:39

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the original the Love of God has the definite article : οὔτε ὕψωμα οὔτε βάθος οὔτε τις κτίσις ἑτέρα δυνήσεται ἡμᾶς χωρίσαι ἀπὸ τῆς ἀγάπης τοῦ θεοῦ τῆς ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν

So its definite and restricted/particular in Christ Jesus, meaning we have to be in union with Christ to be Loved by God.

So you believe me to be cherry picking verses and having the wrong understanding. If true then many others don't know what they are talking about. Men that have been used by God to do far more than I will ever accomplish.

JOHN GILL - 1697-1771 AD

Albert Barnes - 1798-1870 AD

Here are just two but there are many more if you would like to read them, I will post them.

There is truth to the fact that "history is written by the victors" and John Calvin did achieved widespread influence even with all his error and his sycophants dispersing his error far and wide.

But it is a new day and there is fresh scholarship with deeper understanding than anything Calvin possessed and it is catching up and destroying this false soteriological system... why because those who are honest have witnessed its harmful affects.

NO need for any social scientist to step and conduct a study, the horrible consequence of this doctrine is brought to light by the testimony of those who have been harmed and some very deeply.

Educate yourself ..do it now before it is too late.

Praise God the sun is setting on TULIP slowly but surely!!

The Grace for All Coalition is a collective pushback against theological groups that are wreaking havoc within the Christian family ―
breaking up churches, stirring up hate among fellow believers, and bashing people who disagree with their views. We take a stand

against these groups who, instead of promoting “unity in essentials and liberty in non-essentials”, create controversies that confuse

weak believers and disrespect various nuances of Christian soteriological systems that have been historically accepted as part of

Evangelical theology.

We disagree with these people who, instead of winning non-believers, make it their mission to convert fellow

believers to their brand of Calvinistic soteriology.

The Grace for All Coalition is a cooperative intellectual resistance against theological systems that portray God as unloving,

arbitrary, author of evil, capricious, controlling, manipulative, unfair, and unkind.

We contest any teaching which assumes that the central teaching of Scripture should be a God portrayed as one who enjoys divine deterministic meticulous control. We dispute

theologies that highly emphasize this brand of God’s sovereignty which disregards or diminishes God’s love, mercy, compassion,

kindness, generosity, and God’s gracious open invitation for all sinful humanity to either receive or reject His free gift of salvation in

Jesus Christ.

How can creation not be considered a manifestation of love, when Gen. 1:31 proclaims it to be very good,
and the reason for creating humans is to provide the opportunity of eternal life in heaven via faith in Christ?

What kind of nature (Rom. 1:20) do you believe God has if not loving?!
