You may be right though, the majority do not support Lindsay and remain silent, which is a form of consent. If we are going by results, ignorance is also consent. So if those two are factored in, silence and ignorance then it could add up to overwhelming.
Most women i know overwhelmingly support Clancy not going to prison. Do you talk to women in your life about Clancy? Certainly, there is enough to support a divide between men in general and women, while the females are more activist in their support, which will always move a majority. I would be surprised if Clancy got prison.
