I created a new room in Nestify. I wanted to see if I can create a cocktail lounge from what was already in the game - it is normally a game to create and decorate your dream home. I also wanted to try out how it would look at night with the lights the game has.

So this is what the cocktail lounge looks like at noon with static light:

It's basic lighting which cycles through the colors of the rainbow. The game has other types of light that aren't so basic.

Conclusion: It was fun creating the lounge but a lot of work to fill in the finer details - I had to actually stock the bar with individual items - that took FOREVER!

My new quest is to catch 6 rockadoodlers. eg roosters, they are running around the island and are a bit elusive. I have only caught 1 so far.

IGN doesn't have honest game reviews. If you pay them money they will rate a game 9 or 10 even though its really a 6 or 7. I agree with you, game wikis are better.

I didn't even know they DO game reviews. I just watch a youtube let's play if I want to know if I'll like the game.

meh I think Hello Kitty fan wiki is better. This IGN site looks like it's for baby cheaters. And why does it take so long to load? The pics are HUGE.

If you like, you can post screenshots of your gameplay in HKIA too! I'd like to see how cute that world is and your experiences of the game.

I encourage others too to post their gameplay of the current games they are working in. It would be a nice way to sharing something and take a break from the more contentious parts of the forums.

A library is a good idea! I'm going to try that. I'm getting tired of Nestify right now, so I uninstalled it until the Autumn update that will provide new content. I am going to decorate in another decorating game that has a different art style and features: MakeRoom. So I will try building a library using that game instead.

I'm also going to try a new feature that Steam has: video clip recording. It sounds a little complicated to me but I want to see if I can use it and how useful it might be. I'll post a video of gameplay using that if I can.

I'm not sure how to do what you said but in Halo Kitty I mean Hello Kitty I have a camera option that takes screenshots, one of my quests is to find guedetama which are baby chicks, take a photo, and they count for some sort of prize at the end. I'm not sure where my photos end up?!

Also I am learning some Japanese words. There is some Japanese kanji in the game eg in the cafe, and shops, on the blackboard and price tags.

BTW My car is Japanese and the screen where the maps and stereo are is all in Japanese, I had to take a google lens shot and get it translated to find out what all the buttons said.

If you do happen to join on the invite there is a multiplayer option and you can be a guest in one of the cabins on the island! And you can decorate them if you want- I'll let you! There's plenty around. I need to go find lots of strawberry crates and these let me repair them, so far I've opened about 6 or 7 and most don't have any furniture in them.

I have now unlocked an gate to a whole new world - Wheatflour land, which is accessed when you go into Hello Kitty's Cafe. It's totally like a HK version of heaven, with pearly gates, guardian wheatflour angels flying around...stairways amongst the wheat flour clouds...etc. Lots of sparkly precious jewels.. complete eye candy!

Hello Kitty is expensive because of the Hello Kitty branding. They also hired good game developers for the programming and writers for the quests. They hired great graphics artists and musicians for the background music and sound effects. Disney came out with a cozy game and that is even more expensive.

Non-branded cozy games are mostly affordable, especially when they are on sale.

There are free-to-play cozy games such as Heartopia (really cute), but everyone knows free to play means pay to win or advance.

It does get discounted to an affordable level but I have to wait for it. I might not even buy the DLCs until another time because even on discount, the entire bundle would still cost a lot.

That's just Hello Kitty (and Disney). Most cozy games are non-brands and are affordable, especially when on sale.

I bought this cozy pizza simulator:

Vacation Cafe
(Watch the cat. He's HILARIOUS how he relaxes, lol!)

I got it for $14 and some change as an introductory sale price.

It's more affordable and cozy. Cozy because you can take your sweet time making the pizza orders for your customers who never grow impatient with you.

Beside making pizza and decorating your restaurant, you shop for fresh ingredients yourself at the outdoor markets (they are not ordered on a computer that comes to you by drone or out of thin air) and fish or dive for the seafood.

You can also own a winery and grow grapes and make wine. You can decorate that too.

Overall, it's an extremely beautiful little town that is screenshot worthy.

No, I mean there are some video games that are REALLY free. Like, not made by a company and not pay-to-win. And some of them are really very good.

I haven't looked into "cozy" freeware though, so I have no idea what "cozy" freeware games are out there. Gotta be some though. There's freeware everything these days.

Yeah, there are good freeware games. I just really like cozy games though. The cozy genre has extremely relaxed gameplay. Look at my previous post about Vacation Cafe. It has no timers and the customers never get mad at you. You can leave them to lounge around for you to explore the town and seaside and they won't mind.

There are some free desktop games in this genre. They are considered focus or productivity tools. They are very basic and helps you keep track of things you have to do in a day's schedule while chill lofi music plays in the background. But if you want it to have more features, those games cost money.

I know there are some good free RPGs. I've lost touch which ones are good, but I know there are out there. I used to play interactive fiction which were almost all free back in the day. They are text adventure games basically where you type out what you want to do in the game. Many good authors that bring stories to life and with your own imagination, you won't need pictures or animation. I've lost touch with that too but I hope they are still around with new stories coming out.

Oh yeah... I forgot. The games I'm thinking about are on PC and Lanolin has an ipad. Sorry Lanolin. No idea what the freeware space is on an ipad.

2Time, Exit Fate is a really good freeware RPG. Last Scenario is also a great one. The Spirit Engine 2 is good. Shoot, the first Spirit Engine is pretty good in its own right. TAGAP and TAGAP 2 are great, but the plot isn't very serious at all. Freedroid RPG, same as TAGAP. Enderal is free, but you have to buy Skyrim to run it because it uses Skyrim engine. Darkest Dawn is a good Wing Commander game (VERY good considering the nonexistent price.) All these have great stories, though some are more serious than others.

I play a lot of that and Total War games but I also have: Lethal Company, REPO, PEAK, Content Warning and a bunch of others so maybe we can find some we share! Big Walk looks awesome but I don't have it yet.
