I JUST SAID I can be a jerk when the situation seems to need one.
I'm more accustomed to me being a jerk than I am to you being a jerk. That's another reason you being a jerk to Karlon seems out of character. Gives me kind of a "hey what'd he ever do to you?!" feeling.

That's not what the Lord said in His Word:

Well the guy from Australia who opened this topic ( he's a lot of fun by the way with his comments too ) was trying to say that God created the Universe in 6 exact days. And he was defending this view by saying that scientists have slowed down light, which is legit.
And by taking this position he's saying that the universe is not as old as they say. Currently the agreement is around 14 billion years old.
So my response to him was basically that he's jumping from one extreme to another. While i have NO DOUBT that God created the Universe, i don't pretend to speak with authority about HOW this happened. This is a mystery, which is why i liked NightTwister's comment about this subject.
So if you say '6 exact days' you're opening yourself to many logical problems based on what we see, measure and reason. Because it may be true that the Universe itself may be younger, but the things we measure here on Earth are very very old. Millions of years old at least. Which don't exactly match with 6 exact days.
So, what do you think about all this?
kent hovind is the modern pro at this subject. he explains it well, real well. 14 billion years old? wow, who says that? it's about 6 to 7,000 years old according to God. i'd like to hear an explanation why someone would think that there are many logical problems based on what we see. especially a Christian. God can make anything seem any age. if He put stars that are seemingly 30,000,000,000 light years away then that's how man perceives it with his limited knowledge. i strongly urge everyone to liste to kent hovind on this.
No idea who Kent Hovinid is or why you call him a "pro" but the facts on this matter are that rocks are measured via scientific methods which reveal very old dates. I mean you can run a google search about this yourself but here's a link : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geochronology

i'm not going to run a google search on that. it may be interesting but i know the earth is 6 or 7,000 years old. the evidence is clear. carbon dating is quite inaccurate & ken explains that too. all i know is that organic material & sample contamination can influence wrong results.
Okay so at this point Karlon it's like Apples talking to Oranges. We don't have much else to discuss on this topic because you're hard lining on one side without even considering anything else.

Yes from the time the Lord re-created the earth after Genesis 1:2 forward. God did not create the earth without form, and void. That would have been Him failing and creating something that was in confusion and chaos.
No, when the devil was cast out of Heaven (Luke 10:18) is when the earth became without form, and void and was in confusion and chaos.
God is all power and perfect. He's never done anything without perfection and since He said He is not the author of confusion and chaos (1 Corinthians 14:33), we know God is not the One that caused the earth to be without form, and void and was in confusion and chaos.
The Lord has not given man any knowledge concerning what all went on before Genesis 1:2 as this is irrelevant for the time we live in now when we should be seeking Him unto salvation instead of worrying about the past so much.
So Karlon, i'm going to leave your first questions alone due to those cultural and denominational differences we talked about and since it's very hard for us to find common ground, but i'll answer your other questions though.
I don't know anything about drumming, silver coins or antiques but i do know quite a bit about fine-dining though.
here in the immediate area, we are loaded with gourmet restaurants. some of my favorite restaurants to dine were SZiro's in Saratoga, gallagher's & benjamin's steakhouses in manhattan as well as nobu down near franklin & hudson. my mistake, nobu is near fulton & day, in the financial district. Siro's, not ZSiro's. big hands & fingers, what an issue!
