Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

I'm adopted in by Christ.

I'm not a gentile.
I think maybe the word "grafted" is what you are looking for.

God is omnipotent. He really has no need to rest.

But He WILL keep His own laws....

As our Creator, that's His chosen field of work, His job, to create.
He did that in 6 days and rested from that labor on the 7th.

Do you follow Jesus? Do you believe He is our Creator?
Then why is it so hard to understand the 7th day sabbath?
Why is it important that you remember that God rested?

There is plenty of Biblical evidence showing that the Lords Day is the 1st day of the week.
when did Sunday become the Lords day?

When did the old covenant get set in place and by what process?
It was started at Mt. Sinai. And how was it ratified? = By the sprinkling of the blood of an ox.

How was the New Covenant ratified?
By the blood of Christ, The death of Christ on the Cross.

Now read Hebrews 9:16, 17 and Galatians 3:15
Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Gal 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

A will or covenant can not be changed when the person dies. do you agree that the New Covenant did not go into effect until after Christ died, and nothing can be added or taken away after He ratified it on the cross.

When did Sunday-keeping begin?

How could Sunday keeping be a part of the New Covenant? If nothing could be added after the death of Christ and He died on Friday and was resurrected on Sunday. If Sunday was added after Jesus died, it could never be a part of the New Covenant.

where did Jesus add sunday to the New covenant laws?

On Thursday night Jesus added the foot washing and ordinances.. even thou He had not died. But He knew He could not add them after His death.

You're still missing the point. You are asking all the wrong questions. Your asking religious questions when Jesus and his apostles taught the disciples to abandon religion altogether.

It's not a question of whether Saturday keeping or Sunday keeping is part of the New Covenant. Keeping a day is not part of the New Covenant. No day is part of the New Covenant.

God hates religion.

What are you then?
I'm grafted into the family of God.

I'm a child of God

I'm a seed of Abraham. Gal 3:29. Rom 9:6-8

A child of promise like Isaac. Gal 4:28.

God has not cast away His people, but He has redefined "Israel" not by physical lineage, but by the "election of grace." This means that both Jews and Gentiles who believe are grafted into the one true "olive tree."

Romans 11:5 – "Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace."
Romans 11:17-24 – This passage explains how branches (literal Israel) were broken off because of unbelief, and "wild olive" branches (Gentiles) were grafted in to partake of the "root and fatness of the olive tree."

In the eyes of God, being a "Jew" is a matter of the heart and the Spirit, rather than an outward physical mark or national identity.

Romans 2:28-29 – "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly... But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter."
Galatians 6:16 – "And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God."

Before we knew Christ, we were considered strangers to the covenant. However, through His blood, we have been adopted.

Ephesians 2:11-13 – "Wherefore remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh... that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise... But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."

We know we are part of this spiritual nation because God has given us His Spirit, which allows us to call Him our Father.

Romans 8:14-15 – "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

"God sent forth his Son... to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons... Wherefore you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."

By accepting Jesus, you have received a new name and a new heritage. You are part of the "whole house of Israel" that God is preparing for His eternal kingdom! Ezekiel 37:11-14

Did God give the 10 commandments?

Does God hate the 10 commandments?

The covenant failed but the part that failed was not the perfect law of God.

The part that failed was the promises of the people.

They could not obey..

But today we have a better covenant..
Based on better promises.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

God will write them in our hearts.

Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Rom 8:1-4
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

By the Spirit through faith the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us.

You are incorrect. The people failed not because the covenant was impossible to keep, but because they didn't want to obey.

God will write them in our hearts.
He will write them on Israel's hearts. When Jeremiah says that God will write his laws on the hearts of Israel, he means the entire Law, not just the ones you happen to like. You can't pick and choose which Laws you will obey and which you will not. When that time comes, they will obey ALL the laws, including the kosher laws, etc.

I'm grafted into the family of God.
We are grafted into the Blessing God promised to Abraham. We are not grafted into the people of Israel. The Ten Commandments belong to the people of Israel.
I'm a child of God

I'm a seed of Abraham. Gal 3:29. Rom 9:6-8
Abraham is the Father of all those who believe. Romans 4:9-12. Understand? We are saved by faith, not by works. We are not obligated to rest on the seventh day because that religious practice is associated with a covenant God made with Israel.

Your interpretation is erroneous because Paul is not addressing the question you want him to address. He is answering his own questions. He asks rhetorical questions to answer objections to the Gospel. In Romans 11:1 he asks, "I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be!" This is meant as an objection and can be reframed as an objection. "Paul, the gospel you preach can't be true because you are saying that God rejected his people." Paul's answer to the rhetorical question defends the Gospel. Is God's rejection of the Jews a logical implication of the gospel that Paul preaches?

Paul argues, no, God's rejection of the Jews is not a logical implication of the gospel. He has never rejected all of the Jews. He has always reserved for himself a remnant of the Jews. Paul includes himself in that group. The Same thing happened during Elijah's day when God told Elijah that “I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”

In Romans 11:11 he asks another rhetorical question, which logically follows from the previous question. "I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous." This is intended to answer another objection to the gospel. Okay Paul, the gospel doesn't teach that God rejected the Jews, but if only a remnant of the Jews are saved, then you are saying that God is rejecting the nation of Israel.

In other words, the objection goes like this. Paul, the gospel can't be true because it says that God rejected Israel as a nation. And Paul argues in the negative. Although Israel transgressed against God, i.e. put Jesus on a cross, they didn't stumble so as to fall. Rather, the Gospel has come to the Gentiles to make them jealous.

The point is, Paul's answer to that question defeats your idea that God redefined Israel, because to redefine Israel is to say that Israel fell. And Paul says that Israel did not fail.

No, that isn't true. Paul isn't saying that outward Jews aren't Jews. He is talking about outward Jews when he says that inward Jews are pleasing to God. We understand Romans 2:28-29 in the context of his opening line in verse 17, "17 But if you bear the name “Jew” and rely upon the Law and boast in God, " Among those people, the Jew is one inwardly. He is not suggesting that everyone who has a circumcised heart is a Jew inwardly. That isn't true. A true Jew keeps the entire law, not just a few of the ones they like.

But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."
Paul speaks about the covenants of promise. We know from his other letters that he is thinking of God's covenant with Abraham, not His covenant with Israel. As Paul argues in Romans 4, God promised Abram that he would be the father of many nations, which is why God changed his name to Abraham. Specifically, all those who are "in Abraham" will receive the blessing. And Paul argues that to be "in Abraham" is to have the faith of Abraham -- believing that God can bring the dead back to life.

Nothing is said about keeping the Ten Commandments.
We know we are part of this spiritual nation because God has given us His Spirit, which allows us to call Him our Father.

I do enjoy your posts. And (most times) I agree with you.

However here I don't believe Jesus was crucified on a Friday.
The numbers just don't add up.
Even if you go with the unbiblical premise that a small portion of a day (or a night) could be considered to be a full day (or night) you still come up short one day and one night.

Jesus said in Matt 12:40 "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

So 3 days and 3 nights must be accounted for from time He was buried to the time He was resurrected.
Take a look at it:

Friday day (even if it was still an hour or 2 before sunset?) - 1 day
Friday night - 1 night
Saturday day - 2nd day
Saturday night - 2nd night

It wasn't even sunrise yet when the women (with the spices and ointments) came to the sepulcher to find out the tomb was already open. Jesus had already been raised.

So where is the 3rd day and night?

I know this is off topic from the OP but I can expound on this more if you wish. Just let me know.
It will make for a longer post than this one.

Would you like a list of them shown in the book of Genesis BEFORE Israel came to Mt. Sinai?

The sabbath was made for "mankind" not just for Israel.
Adam was made on day 6 of creation week. The sabbath on day 7 FOR mankind.
The word "adam" in Hebrew actually means "the first man" and by implication all his descendants. All of mankind.

It's not the sabbath of the Jews. It is the sabbath of the LORD thy God. Exo 20:10

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law

Rom 13:9-10
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

NOT what it said.....
You are going BEYOND WHAT IS WRITTEN.
Thats crap Satan would do and has done.

"LOVE IS THE FULLFILLMENT OF THE LAW"
that's what it says.....that's all it says. Nothing more.

Why you trying to add to God's word as if you are God...
You are not.

God gave the 10 Commandments to Israel.

The Covenant didn't fail. Israel broke the covenant. It was the people who failed.

You are incorrect. The people failed not because the covenant was impossible to keep, but because they didn't want to obey.

That hasn't happened yet.

God gave the law to His children..
The wall of separation has been broken down. I hope you are a child of God.

Heb 8:7-8
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

If it was faultless no new covenant would have been set up..

It was faultless on God's side but faulty on men's side.
You are incorrect. The people failed not because the covenant was impossible to keep, but because they didn't want to obey.
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

The flesh can not obey the Spiritual law.

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Without The Holy Spirit they could not obey the law.

They tried to do it in their own power and failed.

I believe it will be all the laws to... but all the laws that are not nailed to the cross. Col 2:14,
All the laws that were not abolished... Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

The love of God does not contradict itself.. it is the same love that is presented in laws and the life of Jesus and the entire Bible.
They build on each other.

That hasn't happened yet.

The law is bring written in the hearts of those that except them. Why don't you let all of the 10 commandments be written in your heart.
