I'm an ENFP... Though the list says "The Champions" but this link here: Portrait of an ENFP calls ENFP's "The Inspirer". Where did you find your descriptions Liamson? I wouldn't mind reading other assessments!

i suggest you investigate the origins of such tests before bringing them to a Christian Chat forum, here below are some help links, these things should be avoided by Christians.
The Cult of Personality

Temperament Analysis-Personality Typing - Christian or Psycho-Occult

Let us walk in the Light, as He Jesus is in the Light.
In case you're feeling ignored... I hope you read some of the posts that followed this post of yours. Although they weren't directly targeted responses to you, they do address some of the points you brought up.

1) (and most significant) The cult of personality article discusses churches using the personality profiles badly. Certainly, if you use personality profiles to judge a person and try to pigeon hole them and ignore who they really are, you can't love them. Since God commanded us to love one another, you bet we can't use personality profiles to judge other people.

2) There are many modern medicines that use the same herbs that the eastern cultures have been using for hundreds of years. Does that make them occultish? Should we avoid those medicines because they use herbs that were used for occultish purposes?

3) These papers look/read like something a college student would have written in their spare time. What gives these papers so much (any?) weight as being truth?

If you'd like to present your own interpretation of these articles, I would love to address them too. But so far, there doesn't seem to be any truth regarding personality testing; furthermore, there doesn't seem to be anything addressing MB typing specifically.

When used properly, these tests provide a means to not only understand ourselves, but to accurately describe ourselves to others; making us more effective in all aspects of life, but especially in our interpersonal communications. And isn't that a huge part of life? Loving each other, creating and nurturing those connections?

Lol..haha... thats right...but then again some extroverted ppl are present online...but maybe these I mentioned are extreme (?) ones? lol
ESTJ, ENTP, ENTJ. Notice how they are all the extroverted thinkers. We have a slew of feeling extroverts for two reasons:

1. They would have greater proclivity toward being personally religious.

2. This is another means of contacting and uniting people.

I'm on here because I like sharing ideas and analyzing.

Geeeeky, I know. But I come by it honestly.

*cough INTJ *cough

I took 3 different tests on different days and they all came up the same, but it was Ritter's confident diagnosis that convinced me. :D

I think people can go to extremes either way with things like this. Some will completely disregard a great deal of research and some will come to nearly worship a thing. No one is saying this is set in stone, but, for me, there's too much truth to ignore, even regarding my faults.

Here's the thing, just because we are predisposed to a thing, does that mean it is an absolute? If we have a bent toward alcoholism, does this mean we will absolutely become alcoholics? We've probably all studied enough psychology to understand the effect environment, personal beliefs (God), and other forces have upon our behaviors. I don't think our tendencies with regard to this test would be any different. We are free to embrace the things we see as +s and could certainly develop skills and abilities to alter those we don't.

I do agree that a couple's ability to communicate on the same level is absolutely necessary.

Well, if you are going to hitch your wagon to something allow me to extend some validation to your position. Its natural for people to want to have their opinions validated.

Christian magazine | Psychology as Religion: The Cult of Self-Worship | Christian Magazine

There are many things that only God knows. But is it heretical to gaze into His handywork dissect and admire it?

Everyone has an opinion. Some people agree with me and some people agree with people who don't agree with me.

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. We are all not the same. People think differently than other people. Helping us understand where each other are coming from should only serve to promote peace. Psychology is not a theology or a philosophy, its just a tool for understanding.

I did not make this thread so that we could dissect the faults in the typing process. I made it so that it could enable us to get a glimpse of what each other's perspectives are and why some of us don't "get" why some of us do the things we do.

I'm not trying to run around with a labeling gun and stick everyone I know in boxes. I'm trying to give people the tools to recognize the differences that exist between each other. We recognize that some people value beauty and some people value authenticity. Some people value tranquility while other people value community. And some seek to understand why.

Everyone has an opinion and if you are reading this, I respect yours, even when you disagree with me. For those of you who have learned something about yourself or the people you love, I'm glad. For those of you who are more confused, I would suggest to keep digging, not until you find someone else who corroborates your ideas but, until you find the truth.

Sorry for the double post, but ironically enough, most of these quizzes I take seem pretty accurate.

Portrait of an INFJ

...even the spiritual and seemingly psychic part. Might be something others are skeptical of, like the article states, but I've experienced multiple facets of this phenomena.

So acording to the test I'm ISTJ and my best fit would be someone who is ESTJ. It seems like so far no voters on this forum fit that description, this explains why I'm single haha.
PS: I'm not looking for someone here, just wanted to point out I rarely meet guys with those characteritics :)

Should we really be surprised if we discover that a high percentage of those who are INFJs are christians? Seems logical to me...

I hear and appriciate what your saying, im just very uneasy with ANYTHING that stems from Jung, this guy was with out doubt demonised, at best the things that stem from him are man made philosophies, which the bible forbids, at worst they inspired by satan.

I dont really have anything else to say about it.

Scripture contains all things we need to live godly lives 2 peter 1vs 3.

Sola scriptura is the cry from me, sola scriptura.

Blessings

I think its very strange that there are so many INFJ's here. When in my life, I've only met like 2, ever.
