When we become parents, we need to BE parents, responsible parents. Children are not pets we can push aside to be raised by our school systems, television, the Internet, video games, daycare operators, etc. They are not tools to be used by one parent against another. They are not inconveniences keeping us from what "we deserve". They are not little people who need to fit into adult molds and schedules. They are children. They are precious. They are gifts from God. And we are accountable to God for how we treat them and what we teach them....and what we don't.

Pray for our children.

I recommend the movie Courageous particularly for men as well as the related book called Resolution for Men.

I've ALWAYS been an advocate of good parenting/protecting children and started doing something about it many years ago by becoming a cop active in this particular area, teaching Sunday School and raising a godly man of 19.:) What are you doing about it?

I'M LEARNING TO RAISE MY 4 YEAR OLD SON IN A GODLY WAY...I WANT TO ENCOURAGE HIM TO SEEK THE LORD AS HE GROWS OLDER...HE KNOWS WHO JESUS IS AND I TEACH HIM TO PRAY BEFORE MEALS GIVING THANKS TO GOD FOR PROVIDING THE FOOD WE EAT AND JUST THE OTHER DAY I ANOINTED HIM WITH OIL AND PRAYED HE WOULD GROW IN THE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD..I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT 2 BOOKS FROM MY LOCAL CHRISTIAN STORE..."SPENDING TIME WITH GOD FOR FATHERS" AND "THE RESLOUTION FOR MEN"... I EVEN BOUGHT THE RESOLUTION CERTIFICATE THE MEN IN THE MOVIE SIGNED AND I HAVE IT HUNG ON MY WALL AS AN OATH TO GOD TO NOT ONLY BE A GODLY HUSBAND AND FATHER BUT TO SUPPORT,PROVIDE AND PROTECT MY FAMILY FROM THE FORCES OF EVIL..I ENJOY BEING A PARENT AS I AGREE THAT CHILDREN ARE A GIFT FROM GOD AND MY SON AND ALL MY FUTURE CHILDREN ARE PRECIOUS TO ME...I FIND GREAT JOY IN RAISING CHILDREN
