Many reasons why, Trax, but the main reason is because people don't believe that it's God's will or that it isn't God's will 100% of the time.
hislastwalk, seeing this thread is very much so an encouragement. I am with you 100% on this. This brings to mind James 4:7. If God made someone sick, then they ought to submit to it.
My point wasn't to seek answers, but to stir all up to think. If this is God's will that no one be
sick, then there is the gift of healing and working miracles. Surely, someone of faith in this
concept would be healing others. I'm not refering to these faith healers on TV, that the people
who are healed, are things that could be faked.
No, the healer would have to clean out hospitals. If a person would be given such a ministry
or had such faith, then after about 10 people were healed, word would spread like wildfire.
After about 10,000 healed, CNN and other news agencies would be all over it. People would
flock to that person, from around the world, by the millions. It just isn't happening, yet people
have this belief that God doesn't want people to be sick.
But Paul had a thorn in the flesh and Epaphroditus was sick to the point he was close to death.
2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
