I think the thing with Athiests is they have to somehow work non stop as to prove they're right and that we're not. They have no rest or peace. As we could take time off and we're fine in knowing that we're safe and sound. We don't fear death anymore. They however, are unfortunately stuck. They don't want to change there belief, but that belief causes them at the very deepest level to always feel a slight discomfort in the idea that they have no idea what might happen after they die. And they're hoping beyond measure that we're wrong. So they'll rave and rant about how were wrong wrong wrong hoping that somehow by doing so it will become true. I honestly have no answers for what one could do with these types. There's very little point in debating them either. I tried that. They're way too hardened in many cases. They love to debate you as they think someone that gives them a chance to prove you wrong and further secure they're belief or magically turn it into the truth somehow. So I think all you can really do is pray for them, and not throw pearls before pigs. Just be empathic and compassionate towards them without needing to debate anything.

Why they are here? Who knows for sure.
But as long as they are here, they recieve witness.
After all, if you have nothing to buy, why go to the store?

I don't think that this is the reason based on what I've seen from atheists I know.

my guess would be they like the face to face international webcam chat option and some of them like that the mods gets rid of the obnoxious predators so they don't have to worry about have lewd proposals and may find some intelligent conversations or just some human companionship. Those I don't mind so much.

There are of course trolls and obnoxious predators. However the mods are pretty good at booting them when they reveal their true motives in joining.

Yet many that end up in the chat room end up banned, but they are welcome here just like everyone else. As long as we can all be respectful.

I mean, I am not going to go to an antiest forum and tell them they are wrong, but speaking their point of view is fine. Can be educational as long as we don't stumble.
